We arrived at 9:45 am for breakfast, host said we have a 45 minute wait, we looked around and saw many tables open and thought it was a over estimate . After sitting for 40 minutes and several tables being emptied (counted 15 ) we where sat . Took awhile for waitress to show up , asked For coffee ( very weak) asked for Another still weak, food was not cooked right ( over hard eggs where runny ) over all not good ! Witnessed other tables with similar issues . We will not be returning ! read more

Honey Jam is phenomenal breakfast place. Everything I have had there is awesome. They do have dine in still. Love there make your own omelettes, pancakes etc. Luis is one of the waiters there and provides phenomenal customer service. The best. read more

My family and I walked into the restaurant at 8:15 am. We were walked to the back of Honey Jam the floor was so dirty no one cleaned after closing Saturday or before they opened Sunday. I had to ask for thr hostess to clean our table because that was dirty also. We waited for a long time for a waitress to come and take our order. In fact my husband and my son were discussing how much longer they should wait before they went to see if we even had a waitress. At this time I have NO plans on returning. Both my daughter in law and I order omelets with egg beaters and we both got egg whites. We didnt say anything because we wait so long to place our order and we had to be somewhere. Went in for a late breakfast with my boyfriend and absolutely loved it! Food was good but service was even better. Danielle J. was our waitress and she was absolutely fantastic! I ordered a ham and cheese omelet and my guy got pancakes and eggs. Everything came out very quickly and Danielle was always seconds away when we needed her. Couldn't be happier with our experience! I'm so done with this place. Food quality has continued to decline since Dick Portillo sold it. This was the third time in a row we had bad food and it's now the last. Specifically my chicken & waffles were cold and chicken fingers... Not bone in chicken (huh!?), my wife's checked breast sandwich was chicken bits on one half and chicken thigh on the other, her soup was completely tasteless. This place is fantastic!!!! The staff and the servers are polite and friendly. My buddies and I have been going there for over a year and gave never had a bad meal! We have tried many different things and we have never had a complaint! We go there every week and it is like eating with family. Nothing struck out from the menu. Taste was fair to fair. I wouldn't recommend it. I've liked the mom and pop breakfast places better. But it does have a nice interior, which I guess you end up paying for. Again it's not the food is bad, it's just I expect it to be much better. Very busy place. Tried to sit for one instead order to go. Waited thirty minutes for breakfast tacos. Then going over the order it was burrito. Then another twenty before my breakfast tacos came out. Been going here since they opened...it's up in the air how things turn out. Beautiful place and if you dine in you can complain and they usually make good on your issue. So today I needed takeout. Guy who answered put me on hold for 5 minutes...I was doing other things at the time and decided I'd wait and actually see how long his "just a sec" was. I ordered my go to favorite Monte Cristo. WHO was the cook today? Sandwich had 3" of filling across the center of a 5" texas toast type of bread, cut in half. I took a pic of this disaster. There is literally 1 1/2" around the entire sandwich that is just bread. Add that the filling was also so thin in most spots it left me hungry (I didn't eat all that extra bread). $12 NOT worth it. I suggest dine in and keep an eye on what you get and how you're treated. read more

Was shopping in the area and searched for a breakfast restaurant. Staff was pleasant and recommended the tiramisu pancake. I had the worst experience ever at this location last Sunday. My daughter turned 16 and we went out for brunch. The food was cold and not tasty at all. We waited forever to get our food, the waitress was Ok; never check back with us.. One of the orders were wrong and they never brought the pancakes to correct the order before we left. The food was not good at all. I would never dine here again. So sad because the last time I went the food was good and that was over a year ago.. read more

We ordered a Dutch Baby as soon as we walked in and the waitress came around 20 minutes later telling us the first one didn't work out and they were putting in another one. She later brings out an undercooked flat pancake. We obviously didn't eat it and didn't pay for it but no other comps were given for the inconvenience, barely an apology. I ordered their meat lovers skillet, which arrived at our table at a luke- warm temperature. The taste was good, but the fact the skillet came out next to cold was a huge disappointment. We keep trying this restaurant. Service is always good but I agree with others, it comes out warm at best. I asked for buttered toast and this is the 2nd time they told me they couldn't butter my toast because it's "against health and safety code and they can't butter toast in the kitchen". What? I talked to the manager and asked how buttering my toast is a health and safety code issue and she admitted they just don't butter toast for anyone any more and the waitress shouldn't tell me it's a health and safety issue. My toast came out cold and I had to butter it myself and it never melted even a little bit. For a $10+ breakfast, I find this ridiculous and disappointing. I can get a better breakfast for a more reasonable price in multiple local restaurants. read more

After breakfast this morning, my husband, 2 friends and I were asked to leave or move to another table so our table could be set up for a 16th birthday party. The guests for the party were standing there watching us get asked to leave. I said it was ok and realized later it is not ok. We felt embarrassed. My husband said there were plenty of empty tables in the place. If someone knew a party was coming in for that area why were we seated in that area to begin with. Because of this, my husband and I will be going to any other breakfast place in the future. Well, I gave it another try. Shame on me. I ordered three eggs over medium with grits instead of hash browns, crispy bacon and an English muffins. Service was fast to get me my order and that where it went bad, again. Eggs were literally cold. I asked the server how can this be and she said I don't know. Crispy bacon was wobbly and no where near crispy. Grits were luke warm at best and the English muffin was sopping wet with butter which I did not ask for. I am writing this review to response to the era after dick portillos sold his legacy to a private equity firm. There have been big changes and I don't like it. Just tried ordering my favs and they removed the following from the menu: - no tiramisu pancakes - no Mediterriean croissant - no short stack of pancakes I won't come here anymore since it's just like every other breakfast place. The breakfast I had was a Denver omelet with hash browns, an English muffin and a cup of coffee. Nothing at all special but the bill with tax and tip was $18. The place is nice, the time it took to get our food was longer than expected and the service was average. I'm not sure what it is that drives the cost up so high. I have gone once, and that was enough for me. I don't have children, and don't understand why I had to get sat in a party room full of crying children. I know I look young, but I didn't really need to hear the screaming kids. Our waitress seemed a bit frazzled by the whole situation. The sever ice was VERY slow. I really like this place but, like one of the other reviewers, I was torn between 3 or 4 stars. I think the food is great and have never been disappointed by the quality of food. However, the wait can be kinda long, although that really should be expected on a weekend morning, but I have had some not so great service and some great service. It can be kinda slow at times and, as someone else experienced, after our food has arrived, we have had to wait for the syrup a number of times. The last time, the table next to us actually offered us their syrup because they didn't even have their food yet but were brought syrup. I have visited this place a couple of times and still lacks great servers. Every time I visit I always get waitressed by the same woman that never smiles and has a nasty attitude. You can't miss her. I visited two days ago and she walked away from our table while taking an order. She never came back to take the rest of our table's order until 30 mins later. She was too busy speaking to a couple that was sitting next to us the whole time. I had to tell the kitchen manager our order to complete as well as order things we needed because we were not properly accommodated.
