I love how it's low toxin here and they did an absolutely excellent job on my nails. I'm absolutely obsessed with this set. Like the detail is immaculate, and her ability is incredible. The only thing I noticed that I didn't like was as an immunocompromised person, I noticed they did not use alcohol BEFORE applying the base coat. If they could start doing that, I would give this place a five stars hands-down because it was very affordable and excellent work. read more

Super small salon with an equally small parking lot, so I'd recommending coming in off hours if you can. I got a gel mani and pedi and enjoyed both. Definitely a no-frill kinda spot. Which is fine by me! I called the morning of, and easily got a 4 PM appointment that same day. I'm not sure if I was just lucky though, because I heard them answering the phone the whole time I was there and telling people they're booked for the next two days. $50 for a mani/pedi. No massage chairs, just simple nail filing and paint. Not sure if they count it as a massage when they put a little lotion on, but I wouldn't. My manicure was done in the same chair where I had my pedicure, and I had to turn to the side the whole time, which I have to be honest was not very comfortable. Overall, it felt clean. It's hard to find a middle of the road nail spa where it's relatively affordable but you don't feel like you're going to leave with an infection. This is that spot. read more

First time trying this nail salon, they accept walk ins depending on the pace, they asked me to come back in couple hours. Convenient. The service is really nice they're so nice and kind. I got a regular mani pedi. My nails got really thin after the last gel x so we decided on not having any nail polish on my hands. I didn't really care for this nail salon. Reasons: 1) The chairs are uncomfortable (see photo). There is a ledge that your feet rest on and I just didn't like this setup compared to traditional spa chair 2) They don't use disposable liners- important for hygiene between customers 3) The staff just weren't that friendly My actual manicure and pedicure were okay. I was on the search for a new nail shop. I needed a manicure and pedicure and saw they took walk-ins but was on a time restraint so i called first to see if the wait would be long. I'm glad I called in they were very honest with me and said there would be w bit of a wait. I really appreciated the honesty and decided to try another place. I went to another shop and due to time constraints, was only able to complete the pedicure. So a few days later I called back to Honeybee and they were able to accommodate me. Each time I called they were perfectly polite. Even when I went in for service they were hella cool and chatted up and were helpful. Now for the service this is a no frills no thrills shop. You will be getting a manicure and a manicure only. You can choose between gel and traditional but that's it. No extensions, no powder dip, no acrylics. Hell you aren't even getting your hands dipped in water which was really surprising to me. It's a filing, clipping, cuticle clipping using cuticle softener in a spray bottle and that is it. It was a lovely job that was done but I actually wanted a powder dip first and then I was going to settle for extensions with acrylics if they didn't have powder. It might feel like there are leaving money on the table because there is legit no upgrade options at all. However, with how busy they are, the quick turnover is very much needed. If you want natural no thrills work done with no fancy perks this is the place for you. read more

Honeybee is amazing! It's the only place I will get my nails done. The employees are all very nice and patient and the shop is very clean. I've gotten manicures and pedicures here, both gel, and my nails never chip or peel. They have a huge color selection and super fair prices ($35 for a gel mani). I've most often had my nails done by Anna, who is amazing, but all the other girls are great too. Everyone is very talented and they all make sure you leave with a quality look and well manicured cuticles/nails. My last manicure was done my Zola (I believe that's how her name is spelled) and I really appreciate how she took her time to fix my messy cuticles lol. I truly won't go anywhere else and highly recommend making this your go to salon. They get a bit busy so try to call ahead to set up an appointment, though they often can get you in within 10-15 minutes if you call. Fyi, cash tips are preferred! read more

It was my friend June K.'s birthday last month, and as she had the day off work, I treated her to a mani-pedi at Honeybee, the nail salon she goes to within walking distance of her apartment. The place gets pretty busy, and when we called without an appointment on a Tuesday afternoon, we were told we couldn't walk in. Happily, we got a callback a few minutes later after someone else canceled and headed over. Honeybee is a cute spot in a strip mall on 3rd. I drive by it all the time and until I went in, I kept getting psyched out by the name, thinking it was a dessert shop. The interior is clean and cheery and the staff is friendly and professional. They are not fast, if that matters to you. We were there for over an hour and a half, but the time was pleasantly spent. June got a mani-pedi and I just got a pedicure, opting for bright blue polish (I'd never gotten this before, but I stole the look from a cool young friend and have found my toddler is now captivated by my toenails). The woman helping me did a great job and the pedicure still looks pretty fresh over a month later. I don't get my nails done often and have a place closer to home for when I do, but I had a good experience at Honeybee and would recommend it if you're looking for a nice nail salon. read more

I have trust issues with nail salons but I had a wonderful experience here last night! I called a couple hours before my apt at 5:30 and was slotted in no problem on a Tuesday evening. I needed to get super thick long dip powder removed and my nails reshaped. It was a strenuous process but the girl who did my nails was incredibly patient and did a great detailed job. She shaped my nails perfectly almost and asked me throughout the process if I wanted anything changed. That was really really appreciated. She mentioned the +$5 organic polish once but didn't push it on me. I ended up getting it. For the removal of my thick dip powder, manicure, and regular polish the total was $30 which I thought was well worth. Side note: these poor girls had to deal with nasty entitled rude customers that came in and when they weren't able to get an appointment just stormed off. I felt so sad that they had to handle that attitude while they were doing their job. My whole experience was professional and I am extremely happy with the results. This place is walking distance from my apartment so I'll be a frequent customer! read more

Worst nail salon ever. EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY MAKE ME BLEED. I don't even know why I've been back here since they made me bleed the first time from a pedicure in January 2019. But I have been back a few times and every single time I leave upset and in a complete crying mess. Every person who works here is so incredibly rough when they work on you. They're just rushing to finish the job and their work is incredibly sloppy. And then when you start bleeding, they play dumb and don't even notice it until you point it out. Not once have I ever heard one of them say sorry. I get zero apologies when I'm sitting there bleeding and in pain. They attempt to clean it by trying to place my fingers or toes back into the DIRTY water and just use tissues until the bleeding stops. And every time they have the audacity to charge me full price AND ask for a tip even though they know how upset I am. How are they possibly still in business with etiquette like this?! Please, please please AVOID Honeybee Nail Spa. They WILL make you bleed and show zero remorse. read more

Ah second time not so great... I decided to just get a regular mani my second visit and was really satisfied with the service when I was there. A week later, I decided to remove the polish and my nails are SO scratched up. I guess it's on me that I didn't pay attention when they were buffing out my nail but what?? Why was it buffed out with the sharpest filer out there? I have to cover my nails in polish now until it grows out which will take so long :( honestly i just feel a little hopeless about this situation... I guess summary is: this place is a hit or miss depending on who is painting your nails. I am a Honeybee loyalist! I've been going here (and only here) for years and it's truly the best mani/pedi I have ever found. Everyone is sweet, my nails last 3-4 weeks with no chipping or lifting. They have great colors and nontoxic options. And it's such a lovely environment - they play HGTV and it really feels like "me time." They are taking appointments. (I first tried to go to Pampered Hands but they are walk in only, the wait was over an hour and it was packed!!) At Honeybee, the tools of course are sanitized for each customer. The pedi basin is lined with removable plastic covers. The space was very clean. The front desk was very kind. You can't touch the polish so you have to tell them which polish you want and they pick them up. See the photos so you can see the quality of the mani pedi. I recommend calling them to make an appointment before you go. Also check to make sure that they're offering the service you need. I got a basic mani pedi. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

I was told my skin is too sensitive and I should put aloe but my skin is not sensitive! This is not the first time I got a wax! It is extremely painful. They were not very helpful or apologetic. ABSOLUTELY horrible experience at this nail salon. We walked into an empty nail salon. Mind you we had an appointment set for 3:30pm. We were 5min lates. Finding parking in this area is not easy! One of the nail techs said "your late" we need to figure out our schedule. Mind you, the nail salon is EMPTY! You have such a busy schedule? But you proceed to take a walk in not to longer after we were seated. The pedicure was bland, no scrub, just water and a hot towel. I had one of the nail techs remove gel X nails, I told her my nails were tender and to please be gentle. She was not gentle and my nail bed is swollen and painful. She charged me the full $35 for a regular manicure to remove 6 out of 10 nails. They are RUDE. & only cater to white women. I do not recommend coming to this nail salon! read more
