Stopped in the new Honeygrow. My daughter had been talking about the one in Center City so when she was home for the weekend we decided to try the new one in the Ellisburg shopping center. I really like the concept and the food seems very healthy. All the food is made to order and the ordering system also is pretty cool. The place is spotless clean and there are a fair amount of tables. On my visit the restaurant was doing a booming take out business. The three of us went with the stir fry and they all were very good.I had the Chicken Miso Tahinini. I would give Honeygrow a solid 3 1/2 stars. It is a nice option to have in the area. How I would love to give them five stars. The only reason for the four stars is that I ordered: rice noodles with chicken, corn, broccoli, and mushrooms with candied nuts and fried shallots with their garlic sauce. Pros: amazing flavor! The ingredients went well together. Love the ordering kiosks, it takes away that trying to decide while someone impatiently awaits your order. There is plenty of staff and you get to watch them cut up all the ingredients for your order. Cons: they were all soaking in water and sauce at the bottom of the bowl. I feel they would've been more tossed in the noodles if their wasn't so much watery substance at the bottom. I want to try to come here again to try one of their honey smoothies. My hubby got almost the same but with the black and white rice, it wasn't soggy at all and the ingredient s could be found, it was pretty good : While not exactly the healthiest option for food with all the carbs, it is healthier than 90% of your choices out there. I get so excited when fresh, quick grab and go places open near my house. It's in the less crowded part of Cherry Hill and parking is easy to deal with. So far I've had salad bowls with everything healthy under the sun that I enjoy put into one sitting. It's good food but most times I've had something missing or not done right. My guests have had the noodles with curry. Orders are through the order screen cashier. Each around $8 to $10. Inside it isn't cozy at all and kinda reminds me of a factory. Love this location more than the Philly ones. Probably bc they're not as busy and there's better customer service? Not sure... But the few times I've been here, it's been really consistent and beyond fresh. When dining in, there are people walking around clearing your bowls/trays for you and asking if everything is ok. I just have to come on here and say, that my fiance and I are NEVER disappointed when we order from this honeygrow. We order fairly often and the food tastes & looks exactly the same every. Single. Time. We actually ordered tonight and I went to pick it up. Even though I had ordered ahead, I still had to wait an additional 10 minutes(I'm not mad at all) due to the dact that they had gotten swamped with orders just before closing. I used to work in the food industry so I try never to order right before close but today was chaotic & I hadn't eaten at all and I just really wanted me some guaranteed dang good food! Anywho, while I was waiting there's was about 5 other people waiting when I first arrived. When I left, there were 3. So, these two women were sitting there and the one was on her phone, complaining about the wait time, the entire time. First of all lady, you can clearly see they arebusy!! For everyone on Yelp who is friends with me, can see i'm at this location 2-4 times a week no lie. Honeygrow is so delicious and healthy it draws me in even more that you can see them making your food and all the fresh ingredients. When you first enter Honeygrow you're always greeted by staff. You create your own stir-fry or salad at the kiosk stands in front of the staff and the food being prepped. They have many different options to choose from when you're making your bowl. Different meats, a lot of veggies, a couple different bases and a few sauces. I've never been disappointed eating here before. The food is so tasty and has some spice if you like that. I have yet to try their salads and their honeybar but I bet they are just as yummy. I love the drink selection, all the drinks are made with cane sugar and have less sugar then regular drinks. They have eco friendly bowls, cups, utensils and straws. The condiment station is always clean and stocked with soy sauce and sriracha. Staff is always super friendly and always there when you need questions. I've never had a problem with any of the workers and I hope the day never comes that I do. You can follow the prompts and create what they have available or modify your selection, based on what is available for the choice that you decide to go with. Once you complete your order you can select to pay with cash or debit or credit. Your receipt will print, then take it to the cashier. I ordered the Philly Roast Pork Stir Fry, I added shrimp, and replaced the rice with Egg noodles. Very tasty and filling. I will try another creation on my next visit here. I visited Honeygrow around 3:30 on a Thursday--the place was empty and service was very quick. The touchscreen was easy to figure out. The reason I came was that Honeygrow is offering $5 off any salad or stir fry during December with a student ID. Can't get much better than that! I opted for the Make it Grain salad-orange vinaigrette, roasted carrots, quinoa and cashew. I added spicy tofu as well. The salad was quite good and came with a lot (I took home leftovers). The roasted carrots were thinly sliced and kind of tasted like sweet potatoes which I enjoyed. The tofu wasn't that great and since it was an extra $2, I probably wouldn't add it again. I liked that there were a lot of options here to accommodate all diets-- especially vegan and gluten free. I also added the focaccia bread. For an extra 49 cents, you can't go wrong. Price wise, I had no issues because my meal was $5 off. However, without that discount, my meal would have been $11+ for a meatless salad and very small piece of bread, so it is somewhat expensive. I would like to disclose I go to every establishment wanting to like them, have a good meal, and give a great review. Honeygrow falls short of this want. Honeygrow is a build-your-own stir fry and salad place. They mention on their website not using freezers and sourcing local foods because it "tastes better" and not to be "cool and trendy," however, I do believe the "cool and trendy" is why they are as busy as they are. I will agree their food is simple and it is fresh. And this certainly can right a lot of wrongs. Being a positive person, I'll start with the good. I love ordering from the kiosks. It removes one obstacle to getting your order right, and it contains costs somewhat--especially in a state that desires a $15 minimum wage. What's also a huge plus for Honeygrow is this is fresh food. It's bilked as "fast," but it really wasn't. And that's okay. I'd rather good than fast. I was at the Cherry Hill location around 7 p.m. on a Tuesday night and it was pretty busy. It's a young, hipster crowd so I stood out like an old, sore thumb. At least I was there with a 19-year old for redemption. I had the Red Coco Curry noodles. The noodles were cooked to perfection. It was the first time I actually didn't find tofu repulsive. But other than that, it was simply spicy. I could not taste the curry and I could not discern any other flavor other than heat on my tongue. Very disappointing. My daughter did the make your own noodle bowl. Her protein was chicken, her sauce was soy. Her egg noodles were also done to perfection. After sampling her dinner, I could do the same at home--for a heck of a lot less. Two noodle bowls, no drinks, no desserts, $20+. For the Cherry Hill area, this is probably standard. Grabbed some stir fry noodles to go last night and was pretty disappointed. It's been almost a year since I had Honeygrow so I was looking forward to my dinner, but when I opened the take out box, and poured it out, a good chunk of the middle was not stir fried. It was just plain egg noodles with no seasoning. When and why did you go back to packaging them in boxes, the take out bowls were way better and prevented the noodles from conforming to the shape of the take out box. Despite mixed reviews, i decided to try HoneyGrow anyway. The place was very clean, had nice decor and is taking advantage of new technology by using touchscreen ordering (which I love). They give you very big portions, so even though it is pricey (came to $9.5 for one stir fry bowl) they definitely don't skimp out. The noodles were good, veggies and chicken were fresh but I have to say the sauce was a little dull. I got the red curry which someone else had rated in another review as a little tasteless and I can attest to that. It was good but not fantastic. A huge turn off for me was that the manager? Was interviewing a candidate right next to my table in front of everyone there. He was asking the candidate some personal questions that I believed to be inappropriate such as "are you married? Do you have any kids?" And then proceeded to let the candidate know about negative experiences he's had with people who have kids. Idk. It just kind of rubbed me the wrong way and I understood his reasoning and intentions, but just found it unnecessary. Overall pretty good food, could use some more taste. You can add your own protein base and top everything off with your favorite sauce. I enjoy their ordering process (on large tablets) because you can browse the options at your own pace and change your mind without feeling like you're inconveniencing the staff. They also have salads and a honeybar where you can order different fruit salad combinations. honeygrow comes in clutch on the days where I don't feel like cooking. I've only had one problem here. I swapped out my typical chicken for shrimp and the shrimp in my completed bowl was cool to the taste and did not seem cooked. A few weeks after it's much anticipated opening, I finally had the chance to try Honeygrow last night. This is a Philadelphia-based restaurant, started in 2012, which seems to be quickly expanding. Per their website, they source their ingredients as locally as possible. Their meals are all made with simple, fresh ingredients, and made to order. Katie M. and I came here after a nice run for some healthy refueling. The place was hoppin' with customers on a Tuesday night, but the production line seemed to be a well-oiled machine, with different staff members devoted to stir fry, salad, and honey bar and smoothie prep. I loved their menu, having some suggested salads and stir fries, along with an option to create your own or easily substitute any ingredient. To order, one uses an easy-to-use computer touch screen. If you select one of their suggested meals, the ingredients pop up on the screen, making it easy to substitute anything, or add on any extras. I opted for the Red Coconut Curry Stir Fry, and Katie M. got the Simone Salad with an add-on of chicken. We entered our respective orders, made our way to the register to pay. Once our orders came up, our order numbers were announced, we grabbed our meals and sat down. We both really enjoyed our meals and both found them very filling. Despite being full, we could not resist a treat from the honey bar. The honey bar is essentially a fruit salad bar with toppings of honey (3 different varieties), and your choice of 2 additional toppings, such as candied cashews, coconut shavings, dark chocolate chips, honey granola, and maple yogurt. I ordered bananas, apples, and blackberries, with buckwheat honey, granola, and coconut flakes. This was quite a lovely dessert: the granola in particular was awesome. Honeygrow takes stir-fry noodles & salads and meshes it with Chipotle's Fast Casual model of picking what (usually locally obtained) ingredients you want. This lets you customize your order to exactly include what you want and what you like which is awesome. Honeygrow is apparently famous for their freshly made egg-white noodles although they also have rice noodles (that's gluten free & vegan friendly), whole-wheat noodles for a surcharge, a brown & black rice mixture, and lettuce cups. From there you can pick between chicken, pork, shrimp, tofu, beef, or veggies; 3 additional veggies; 2 garnishes; and a sauce. Another interesting point is that you order your meal through touch screen computers, which lets you customize your bowl easily without worrying that they misunderstood your order. This makes the restaurant perfect for those with gluten free allergies or vegan/vegetarian needs because they actually have options other than a salad. They also had an incredible soda/tea selection with sodas & teas that are not made with High Fructose Corn Syrup as well as a pretty well established build-your-own salad option. It makes Honeygrow a good place to get a fast and healthy lunch. Just as a heads up, the reason I'm docking them a star is because when I picked up my order, they forgot the sauce & lettuce cup I ordered with my meal. Fortunately I ate in so I was able to come back and they were very helpful and friendly about everything. But if you're going to-go, you might want to look in your bag to make sure you got everything you were hoping for since they are busy. Honeygrow is one of my favorite lunch places but this location, as many reviewers have said, is not the best. I've been a few times and they staff are always a mess. It doesn't have the finesse that the Center City location has (even though that location is usually packed it still runs more efficiently). Food wise this place is great. The salads are delicious and ingredients high quality. The stir fry is sooooo good. I like that it is all create your own so I can modify anything the way I like it. The honey bar is good but expensive. You get a little cup of fruit for 6 dollars so I usually just skip it even though the whipped cream is heavenly. All of the sodas are like fancy Sofia's and teas. Examples- black cherry cola and Mexican sugar cane cola. Last time I visited this Honeygrow they made my stir fry using the wrong sauce. When I brought it up to the counter, the staff looked confused as to what to do and how to react. One woman started saying they would make it over and it was just a weird experience. I didn't know what to do with my first bowl that was wrong so I just said to the guy here so you want this back. It was weird but luckily they remade it and it was all fine. This place is so fresh and good it's such a hidden gem. You walk in and there are wawa looking monitors to order your food and pay (also can pay cash to a cashier). Fresh made egg white noodles with your choice of protein and ALL the fixings. I always get the spicy garlic, it has chicken, broccoli, bell pepper ,red onions , and wait for it... PINEAPPLE which balances out the spice perfectly. A second favorite is their red curry which is the BEES KNEES... so good and fresh. They have fountain drinks made with real sugar which gives it such a better taste and doesn't leave you feeling like you drank a bunch of corn syrup right after. They also have fresh juices which are wonderful (apple , lemon, ginger is my favorite.) as fresh as it is, as good as i feel after I eat it, the price is very high for the portion of food you get. Literally an extra cup of noodles and a couple more pieces of fixings would make this a daily eatery for people who are trying to eat healthy but the price is way to steep(the missing star) to eat here everyday. I've always been a fan of hg; so I'm very happy about having a hg location in my hometown of Cherry Hill. Honeygrow is a unique dining experience in which you build your own salads and stir-fry. Why salads and stir-fry? I honestly have no idea, but I'm not complaining. Customers place their orders through a kiosk; through the kiosks, you can make customizations and pay for your order with a card. The kiosk is super easy to use, and they have plenty of options of for types of noodles, types of salads, sauces/dressings, veggies, etc. Unless you don't know what you like / which ingredients go together, it's really hard to go wrong here. Also, you'll want to keep in mind that the price can climb up pretty quickly if you go beyond the included amount of ingredients in the base price. Generally speaking, the turnaround is pretty quick; however, it'll naturally slow-down during peak meal times. Also, salads come out much quicker; so order a salad if you're pressed for time and not opposed to that option. The look of the place is very modern and clean (probably because it's still pretty new). Hopefully, they keep it up. There's a good amount of table and bar seating inside, but it can get pretty loud when it's busy. I've always been happy with the quality of ingredients, and the portions are agreeable. While the stir-fry naturally feels like a larger portion because of the noodles, the portioning is pretty fair and consistent for both salads and stir-fry. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go on my lunch break at work! There are so many healthy options to choose from, even though I always stick to the same meal! I visited today during my lunch break and they're usually super busy around the lunch hour. I waited in line for about 5 mins before ordering my food at the touch screen. The process is fairly simple, you just choose what you want from the screen and also have the option of paying with card so after you order you simply pick up your food and walk out! Since the lunch rush keeps things super busy, I waited for about 10 mins for my meal, but it was definitely worth it! I typically order the sesame garlic stir fry with shrimp as I'm tying to stay away from meat. The food was delicious as always and stayed super hot from my drive from the restaurant back to work. Wait for your order number to be called and its off to the races. I had the sesame garlic stir fry with shrimp instead of beef. It seems everything is changeable between proteins, noodle types and flavors along with the vegetables. They def did not skimp on the mushrooms and shrimp (shrimp was perfect). Its nice to have outside tables with only negative being the small sidewalk and stop sign next to building leads to not much quiet time. Cant do much about the traffic and kids on bikes but its nice to have seating outside especially since inside was FREEZING. It was our first time here. The staff was very friendly and gave us samples of the sauces and answered all our questions. I have a bit of a restrictive diet and they catered to it. The store was clean and inviting. We were here for lunch hour rush and they were very positive and friendly even through the rush. I messed up my own order by leaving out the protein and they happily fixed it for free. The egg white noodles my husband had were great. Red curry sauce was delightful. We will be back! This is my new favorite healthy "fast" food spot. I absolutely love the food, the way you order by computer terminal, and the speed of service. GM Bill introduced himself to my boss and I today, and the guy couldn't be more professional, friendly, and genuine.
