It's sooooo good but expensive! Sheesh. We loved it so much and couldn't figure out why we hadn't been back! Deff isn't a place you can go to if you're not trying to spend ALOT! Chicken is A1. Not a big fan of the Mac n cheese.

I can never go wrong here when I want some good fried chicken. The service is always impeccable. The staff is very helpful and patient. Nice trendy area with surrounding restaurants. My chicken was flavorful, tender, and delicious.

The chicken and biscuit were delicious, and the chicken was my favorite I've had in LA so far. The potatoes were fried a little too hard for my taste, and the coffee was just okay. To be fair, I usually drink coffee with flavored creamer, and they didn't have any available. The service was average, but the food made up for it. One suggestion would be to wash down the patio area more regularly, as there was a strong odor during my visit. It's a really nice patio, but the smell was noticeable enough that I chose to move back inside the restaurant. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would come back for the chicken alone.

I walked up to the counter on a Sunday around 6pm. There was a line to pick up, but no line to order. I stood at the counter for quite awhile, while a line formed behind me, before someone nudged the girl to take orders. You know when you can tell that someone is actively ignoring you? She was doing "busy work" that clearly was not something that needed to be done. Stacking stacks that don't need to be stacked. The food was not great. The chicken didn't have much flavor, and the wing not much meat. The thigh was juicy. There were plenty of medium thick fries, a few pickle slices and a biscuit. No butter for the biscuit. The mac n cheese was unfortunately inedible. I didn't finish it and threw part of it out, and if you know me, no cheese goes uneaten. Will I be back? No. Bonus: Ample patio seating. Bogus: flavorless food, mediocre service, same price whether you order dark meat vs white meat.

Honeys Kettle is my favorite fried chicken spot!! When I want to have a cheat day and eat fried chicken this is my absolute favorite treat!! The chicken is always juicy and well seasoned. The biscuit with the honey is so satisfying and delicious. If you are in the Culver City area stop in or order for delivery. Until next time Honeys Kettle!

So I want to give this place a 5 but the lady at the front counter was rude and had a VERY BAD ATTITUDE. Other than that the food was AMAZING. I'm in LA for a certain amount of time and trying to try all the LA staples and this was one of them. The fried chicken was so goood, crispy and juicy. The mac salad, the mashed potatoes and gravy (so yummiful) the pickles were top tier, the beans and rice were good but it had a hot dog smell but they were still good, the fries were yummy. My friends boyfriend got the chicken sandwich and he said it was really juicy and flavorful and he said he doesn't care for coleslaw but it's one of the ones he actually enjoyed as a chicken sandwich connoisseur. The green beans and yams were okay just a tad bit dry for me but I do know it was giving more like midwestern soul food. But everything else was yummy. The blueberry mint lemonade was good and refreshing, love the biscuits how they were hot and soft and the honey. The hot sauce was great too. The atmosphere was like down home family style and lots of seating. Street parking and structures available.

Decent flavor and could be an option when trying to find fried chicken around the area. Wouldn't make an effort to intentionally visit probably, but price for the portion was totally not bad. Best enjoyed fresh for sure, but reheating could be an option as I did have mine for to-go. The biscuits were my highlight with nice sweet and savory combo and slight crunchiness on top. I did like the idea of enjoying the chicken with honey as it did give that sweet and salty play.

What can I say? Very good fried chicken. I had their 2 piece meal and it's was a lot of food. It comes with pieces of chicken, your choice of breast, thigh, etc, fries, biscuit, and slices of pickles. Their fried chicken was so crispy! I ate everything on it. Fries and biscuit will leave you full. Service was great. This is popular in my area so it will be crowded during meal hours. There is outdoor seating available if it becomes packed inside. It's in downtown Culver City so you get a nice vibe eating outdoors.

    $6 wow it's Barbie size

The place is clean, and in the summer the A/C and ceiling fans keep it comfortable. There's also a nice outdoor patio that's probably great in the evening. The music is good and the overall atmosphere is pleasant. So why only 3 stars? The prices are just way too high for what you get. Four mixed pieces of chicken are $17. The coleslaw in the photo was $6 and the portion is tiny. Mashed potatoes are $7 and also very small. An 8-piece family meal is around $50. I understand it's Culver City and an expensive part of town, but the portions just don't match the prices. Parking can also be tough. I recommend using the parking structure next to Flynn's Arcade -- the first hour is free. Good chicken, nice atmosphere, clean restaurant... but wildly overpriced for the portion sizes.

We were very disappointed with our experience. We had to wait nearly 10 minutes just to get our to-go order, standing there while two female employees chatted, laughed, and one even went on her phone. They showed no sense of urgency or awareness of customers waiting. It actually took another employee reminding them, "Don't you have to get the to-go order?" for them to finally go to the back and get it. Worth mentioning, they just shoved everything inside a bag and it was very messy. This was especially frustrating because it was a busy Sunday around 1:30 PM with around 8 people in line. Customer service should be a priority during peak hours. As for the food, it was just okay. The fries were nothing special, the fried chicken was underwhelming and lacked flavor, and while the pie was pretty good, it wasn't enough to make up for the poor service. Overall, not an experience we'd rush back for. Please retrain those two female workers.

Classic dependable fried chicken. Can't go wrong here. Had their 4 piece meal with fries, biscuits and pie. So satisfying and a good quantity for 2 people to share

Annie's can take the crown for BEST Soul Food in LA…read more This restaurant is always extremely busy & now I can finally understand why. The level of authenticity can be felt the moment you walk in. Every patron of the restaurant can be seen expressively enjoying their food. When you order a main protein, it comes with your choice of three sides & ofc their famous cornbread muffins. All the food is insanely filling so prepare to take home leftovers. * Beef Links 10/10: A massive, spicy beef sausage on top of a soft & fresh slice of white bread. It can't get any better. It stayed hot throughout my meal & was appreciated so much. That is f***g good. * Cornbread muffins 10/10: DELICIOUSLY served as an appetizer before your meal comes out. Comes fresh & hot with a side of sweet/cinnamon butter. It's perfect. * 8 Pc Wings 10/10: Seriously the best wings I've ever had in my life. Soul food restaurants know exactly how to coat the wings so that they become insanely crispy when fried. That aside, the Hot Honey seasoning was especially flavorful & mouthwatering. *Mac n Cheese 9/10: This is my style Mac. Not too ooey-gooey wet but just a perfect amount of cheese & roux. One point off because it has a smokey taste which just isn't my preference. * Candied Yams 11/10: MY GAWWWD. I'm in heaven. If you like very sweet potato's paired with a perfect buttery cinnamon dressing, then step right up. These are insane. I'm obsessed with that type of thing. *Greens w Turkey 3/10: Was not the biggest fan of this side. The flavor of the turkey overpowered the whole dish. The greens clearly basked with the turkey rather than just being placed together. I couldn't taste the greens, just meat flavoring. * Cabbage 7/10: I love cabbage. This side isn't anything crazy, it's a very simple thing for you to pair with whatever you ordered. Every meal needs one side that rlly holds it down. *Fried Okra 12/10: Seriously, you cannot get soul food without trying fried okra. This is just amazing. Perfectly crispy & delicious.

We got the fried catfish, which was nicely seasoned and crispy, with fried okra, collard greens with smoked turkey, and gravy over rice on the side. My friend got the oxtails with mac & cheese and was probably my favorite dish we tried. The oxtail was rich and tender, and that mac & cheese with the oxtail gravy together was good. We also tried the candied yams, and later got more food to take home because we were too full, like the cornbread. Their watermelon drink was really good too, and we got ours spiked. My friend told me he likes drinking it with Hennessy, so l we had to test that theory afterward. I can confirm it was a good combo. The restaurant itself had a nice, relaxed ambiance and I really enjoyed the food. My only issue was the wait, it was way longer than expected, and I'm still not really sure what caused it. Unfortunately, that was enough for me to knock off a star. Still, the food itself was worth trying, especially if you're craving some comforting soul food. I'd come back, hopefully with a shorter wait next time. 8/10
