Honeys Kettle is my favorite fried chicken spot!! When I want to have a cheat day and eat fried chicken this is my absolute favorite treat!! The chicken is always juicy and well seasoned. The biscuit with the honey is so satisfying and delicious. If you are in the Culver City area stop in or order for delivery. Until next time Honeys Kettle!

What can I say? Very good fried chicken. I had their 2 piece meal and it's was a lot of food. It comes with pieces of chicken, your choice of breast, thigh, etc, fries, biscuit, and slices of pickles. Their fried chicken was so crispy! I ate everything on it. Fries and biscuit will leave you full. Service was great. This is popular in my area so it will be crowded during meal hours. There is outdoor seating available if it becomes packed inside. It's in downtown Culver City so you get a nice vibe eating outdoors.

Thus was my cheat day. Anytime I want fried chicken I always go here. The chicken is made fresh with quality ingredients. The two female black ladies at the front always provide outstanding customer service. Atmosphere iscdekightik licated inndiwntown cukver city.

Hope it taste the same as the Compton days ..

I was so excited to go and finally get some chicken from this place. It's been a LONG time since they've moved out of Compton. The chicken did not taste the same and over priced. Will i be back? Idk ‍ but i will not go out of my way just to get it.

I walked up to the counter on a Sunday around 6pm. There was a line to pick up, but no line to order. I stood at the counter for quite awhile, while a line formed behind me, before someone nudged the girl to take orders. You know when you can tell that someone is actively ignoring you? She was doing "busy work" that clearly was not something that needed to be done. Stacking stacks that don't need to be stacked. The food was not great. The chicken didn't have much flavor, and the wing not much meat. The thigh was juicy. There were plenty of medium thick fries, a few pickle slices and a biscuit. No butter for the biscuit. The mac n cheese was unfortunately inedible. I didn't finish it and threw part of it out, and if you know me, no cheese goes uneaten. Will I be back? No. Bonus: Ample patio seating. Bogus: flavorless food, mediocre service, same price whether you order dark meat vs white meat.

Best way is to order fresh out of the fryer. Super juicy and crispy. Friendly staff, great food but getting pricey. I guess everything is expensive now.

Decent flavor and could be an option when trying to find fried chicken around the area. Wouldn't make an effort to intentionally visit probably, but price for the portion was totally not bad. Best enjoyed fresh for sure, but reheating could be an option as I did have mine for to-go. The biscuits were my highlight with nice sweet and savory combo and slight crunchiness on top. I did like the idea of enjoying the chicken with honey as it did give that sweet and salty play.

On my way back from a meeting, there was someone I met that really wanted some food. And he knew exactly where to go! We went down the street to this beautiful spot, and I was so excited to try it. This dude ended up being a quarterback from my hometown, which immediately makes him a foodie. The service was amazing, I've never had chicken like it ever in my life. I had the bread with honey, and it was wonderfully classic, but with its own original style. Definitely worth the time and resources, I suggest you check it out.

The ambiance is cute and inviting. It's a small space inside with limited seating. They do offer outside seating like a patio style. The customer service was good. We ordered our food to go and the weight from the time we order to pick up was 15 minutes. They pack your items in boxes and then placed in a bag. The price is very pricey for chicken. The premium sides are all extra cost, the standard sides is macaroni salad or coleslaw. The chicken is coated with a beer batter, not your typical flour coating. My husband was not a fan of it but I thought it was okay, nice balance in seasoning. We ordered a family pack which was a whole chicken cut up, 2 side but I sub for a corn on the cob and 4 biscuits and 2 large French fries and a side of pickles ( they were sweet pickles). It was $50.00 it was not worth the cost but we give a chance to see if the food is worth the price.

Finally decided to make a trip to this place (after surviving the 405!) We parked in a structure at the back, it's one hour free and they do not validate but the price isn't bad at all. The place is really cozy and has family vibes. We ordered our food and after about 15 minutes, we got our chicken! It was so crispy and so good! This has to be my favorite fried chicken in LA (so far!) The biscuits were soft and the fries were lightly seasoned. Definitely check this place out when you make the trip to Culver!

We were very disappointed with our experience. We had to wait nearly 10 minutes just to get our to-go order, standing there while two female employees chatted, laughed, and one even went on her phone. They showed no sense of urgency or awareness of customers waiting. It actually took another employee reminding them, "Don't you have to get the to-go order?" for them to finally go to the back and get it. Worth mentioning, they just shoved everything inside a bag and it was very messy. This was especially frustrating because it was a busy Sunday around 1:30 PM with around 8 people in line. Customer service should be a priority during peak hours. As for the food, it was just okay. The fries were nothing special, the fried chicken was underwhelming and lacked flavor, and while the pie was pretty good, it wasn't enough to make up for the poor service. Overall, not an experience we'd rush back for. Please retrain those two female workers.

Classic dependable fried chicken. Can't go wrong here. Had their 4 piece meal with fries, biscuits and pie. So satisfying and a good quantity for 2 people to share

Chicken came super Krispie~ The drumsticks were moist but the other parts came a bit dry and unevenly coated. Service was speedy and friendly. Would recommend if you want something different from Korean style fried chicken

I couldn't believe I'd never reviewed it before so I wanted to do so following another delicious brunch at Joyce today. From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable. Our table never lacked for tea, water, coffee, etc. Foster took great care of us (and shout out to Nick who's also provided amazing service to us there). The Bloody Mary was the first thing to blow my mind. It was absolutely delicious and maybe my new favorite Bloody Mary in LA. It made me wish I'd Ubered. But I also had some wonderful hot, Earl Grey tea. I love how they present it to the table. We covered a lot of ground and no notes. We had the caviar with crème fraîche and truffle kettle chips, a seafood platter that , the fried green tomatoes - which I will order every time I'm there, and the Dungeness crab and rock shrimp Benedict. The dining room itself is beautiful--comfortable, stylish, and inviting. When you look around the room there, it feels like every table in there is celebrating something. In a city overflowing with brunch options, it's surprisingly rare to find a place where the food, service, atmosphere, and pacing all work together so seamlessly. It was one of those meals that reminds you why dining out can still feel special.

Then finally came the next people, whose order took an exorbitant amount of time as well. I took note of the growing line behind me but figured it's a popular place and this is how it usually works here. I ordered the short rib lunch with collard greens and black eyed peas, with sweet potatoes as an extra side. The lady charged me for a dinner (bigger portions and more expensive), which I realized when I got my meal and looked at my credit card statement. I waited for 15 minutes at the pick up window before asking about my meal, and the guy said it's being packed up. Another 10 minutes, and the people behind me are picking up their meals and are noticing I haven't gotten mine yet. One of them says something. They say it's coming. After another 10 minutes I finally get my food, in a paper bag that is already soaked in grease to the point of it falling apart by the time I get to my car. There's something on their window saying they can't use plastic bags because of some law. I go to a liquor store and buy some plastic bags so this grease doesn't get all over my car. I look in the bag, everything is leaking all over everything, and the 2 cornbreads that come with the meal are nowhere to be seen. I drive BACK to the place, wait 5 minutes for someone to show up at the back window, and ask for the cornbread that was supposed to come with my meal. This is now going on an hour from the time I placed my order. They finally get them to me. I drive to my destination, and begin eating. Black eyed peas are delicious. Collard greens are delicious. Cornbread is wonderful, but really greasy. I dig into the short rib - which by the way I paid $30 for. It's literally 80% gristle and fat. There is almost no meat. I'm trying to find the little tiny bits of meat in the generous portion of meat and am coming up with basically fat. Most of it is getting spit out. I pays for meat, not fat. Lesson learned. I will come back but only for sides and if I'm adventurous I'll try the baked fish or something though that also scares me after this questionable experience. It's obvious they bought the cheapest meat they could, didn't trim it, charged a lot for it and sold it at a price that would warrant high quality meat. The flavor was great but I paid for meat, not throw away chewy gristle. Like I said, I will come back but will most likely order only sides, as they are really good.

The restaurant is located at the Beverly Center and does not validate parking. The good news is that parking is relatively affordable at $1 per hour. Since I don't eat meat or chicken, I checked the menu online beforehand and found several options that looked appealing. Unfortunately, once we were seated, we were given a completely different menu. When I asked about it, our server, Lindsey, explained that the menu I had seen online isn't available until after 3 p.m. That was disappointing since I had already planned my meal. We started with the biscuits. They had a strong smoky flavor that honestly made me think they were baked with pork fat or in an oven used for barbecue. Lindsey assured me they weren't made with any meat fats, but the smoky flavor was definitely noticeable. I ordered the salmon with microgreens and a side of mac and cheese. My partner ordered the steak and eggs with hash browns, and we both enjoyed the mint mocktails--they were refreshing and one of the highlights of the meal. The salmon was cooked well and I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese, however, was a huge letdown. It arrived in a cute little cast-iron skillet on a butcher block, so the presentation was great, but the taste didn't match the appearance. It reminded me of boxed mac and cheese made with powdered cheese, topped with Parmesan just to create a crust. It was runny, lacked richness, and there wasn't even a hint of that satisfying cheese pull. Unfortunately, there were service issues as well. My partner specifically ordered his eggs over hard, but they weren't prepared that way. His hash browns never arrived at the table, and on the drive home he realized we had been charged for them. He intended to mention it before leaving but simply forgot. The biggest positive is the restaurant itself. It's beautiful, stylish, and has a great ambiance. Beyond that, though, I found the food to be average for the price. Even by Los Angeles standards, $42 for chicken and waffles feels excessive. Overall, Yardbird looks better than it tastes. While there were a few bright spots, the inconsistent service, menu confusion, and underwhelming food don't justify the price. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.

Overall the beans and slaw sides and the garlic rolls were probably better than the tri-tip and the portions were so tiny for what you pay. So it is these days.... Though I do recall it feeling the same back on the day when I first tried out HC when they opened. They have a variety of brews on tap and happy hour not for the bbq but the sandwiches if you wanna not break the bank. Lots of salads and sandwich options if you wanted to not focus so much on the BBQ. Dining inside is ok. For a Friday night there weren't many people helping out in the front of house. Staff were friendly and it's got a chill vibe; they've got 2 TVs if you wanted to catch a game. Parking is the free valet kind since the shopping center is packed with eateries with little parking. From someone who's had BBQ from other parts of the country... not sure HC is a must have. But it's not a bad option on the west side that doesn't have much BBQ to write home about.
