    Egg drop soup
    Nycole R.

This all you can eat buffet hits all the popular dishes-the variety is impressive. I loved the egg drop soup and the fried donuts the best, but everything I tried was pretty good. I was shocked at the low price-I expected to pay a lot more than I did. My only complaint would be the temperature of the food. Some things came out fresh and were hot, but a few things had been sitting out awhile and were dropping heat. Nothing was cold per se, but definitely not as warm as I would have preferred. That said, I was pleased with the variety and taste of everything. And at that price, I'll be back.

I read the reviews and was t expecting much but I was surprised they had everything I like and it was always fresh plus it was priced under $20 with a good amount of seafood. Definitely worth stopping

Clean, fast and friendly. All buffet food I tried was fresh and delicious. Sushi buffet looked and tasted excellent. Self-serve hard ice cream for desert really topped of a fun dining experience. Drinks are not included in buffet price.

I go to this restaurant frequently and am usually satisfied. The food is usually ok and the restaurant is usually clean. The reason for the 1 star review is because they don't accept their own coupons. The reason I am upset is because when you issue a coupon it's usually valid until the expiration date but Hong Kong Buffet apparently chooses the dates for which they accept coupons. It just seems really cheap that they won't accept their very own coupons, when you try to use them they make up rules so that you can't, but by that time you have to pay the bill. My final advise for Hong Kong Buffet is, when you issue a coupon and then say that you can only use it during a certain time frame you NEED to specify that time frame... what a rip off. Sincerely, Disgruntled Customer

It's really China China buffet. Mandarin speaking staff run the place. Food was bomb!

Who would have thought there would be a Chinese buffet in Cedar City, a small town with a majority of whites? Who would have thought Chinese buffets would serve decent food? Who would have thought they would have some of the best ribs and crab? No, no and no, but yes, yes and yes, they all happened. So much variety for a cheap price with friendly service, clean grounds and good quality food in a small town when you come with no expectation, of course it's a 5 star! I am never a fan of BBQ ribs, but I think I ate 4 big pieces. Not a fan for skimpy crab legs either because it's not worth my effort but I had half a dozen of those. Maybe I was just really hungry, but as I recall, my standards don't compromise much even when I'm hungry because I live in a first-world country. Anyhow, they have lots to choose from, chow mein, fried rice, veggies, stir fry, not much of a sushi selection, but unless you want to get sick, eating sushi at a buffet where the storage temperature is not optimal is generally a bad idea. The most important thing about a buffet, is that the tables and floor are clean. Also, it didn't look ghetto at all. Wow, keep it up Hong Kong Buffet! I'm happy that their name didn't bring shame to my hometown!

We are from Vegas so we had to try a buffet and compare. I would say it's better than Golden Corral. It's cleaner. Service is awesome. A good variety of food that's replenished constantly when it gets low. I actually like the way the thongs are hung over each food item so that it's not touching anything and everyone can see which item each belongs to. Price cannot be beat. I'm not a huge buffet person but I enjoyed all the variety. All the salads are great. It's in the corner of a plaza so plenty of parking.

The spread includes a main dish, sides, fruit, a full salad bar, dessert, plus coffee and tea. On our visit, we enjoyed Thai peanut sweet potatoes, basmati rice, Thai peanut ramen, and some of the freshest, most vibrant salads I've had anywhere. I was genuinely impressed and this is coming from someone who isn't vegan, though I easily could be if meals like this were part of my daily life. The views stretch across beautiful Angel Canyon, and you can choose indoor or outdoor seating. It truly feels like stepping into a painting. If you're not already familiar with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, UT, it's worth looking up. The work they're doing to make no-kill shelters a reality nationwide is extraordinary. This cafe is located inside the Sanctuary down a long dirt road. It's a relatively small building but given how popular it is for the lunch, the place gets extremely crowded and chaotic. When we walked in, basically the entire place was full and there were volunteers and employees giving powerpoint presentations about the animals being cared for at the Sanctuary. It honestly felt kind of like a timeshare presentation, but without the pushiness. Luckily there were still seats available outside on the patio, which has some gorgeous views down into Kanab Canyon. In terms of food, everything is vegan. The first table includes a salad bar with plenty of various toppings and six vegan dressing choices. It's all super fresh and healthy. The second table has the main entrees, which on the day we visited was green beans and jambalaya. The green beans are simply boiled until slightly mushy. The jambalaya is mostly soft and tender, approaching mushy, and has kidney beans, onion, tomato, and sausage-substitute (perhaps seitan?) mixed in. The faux-sausage is actually pretty good, being spiced like sausage and having a surprisingly similar texture. The third table has desserts - slices of vegan chocolate cake which taste and feel the same as boxed cake mix, moist and not too sweet. The last table has premixed salads. There's a potato salad that includes plenty of tender potatoes in a creamy mustard/mayo sauce. There's orzo salad that uses a really strong and pungent vegan cheese in place of feta. Finally, there's a spinach and fruit salad, fresh and tangy. All the food is restocked regularly, so while we were there nothing ever completely ran out. Angel Village Cafe serves fresh and healthy food for only $5. It's a no-brainer to visit for lunch while visiting the Animal Sanctuary.

I was a little surprised we were served on paper plates and out of the plastic to go containers. That was a first for me. My husband liked his Tandoori Chicken, and I had the butter chicken. I didn't dislike mine, but it was not as good as many I've had, less spices. I don't like hot, and it wasn't, but I mean spices for flavor. The mango lassi was ok, but lacked that tang we enjoy usually with one. Ordering was interesting, they have you order as you come in like a fast food type place, then they seat you and treat it like a dine in experience with great service. However, they ask for the tip like when you order and pay like fast food. It was unusual, so we opted to leave a cash tip afterwards since we didn't know what kind of service we'd receive. The dining room seemed clean, nothing special. We did not use the restrooms. Not sure if we would return. It wasn't bad, but for the price, we weren't wowed

We decided to risk the lunch buffet for $18 at Ruby's Inn, figuring that there would be at least one item we would enjoy. There isn't much information about what's actually included in the buffet, either on review sites or on their own website, so we were a bit worried about the selection. While Ruby's Inn can't match a buffet in a larger city, we found the selection to be good enough, with plenty of protein and carb options, veggies including a salad bar, and dessert afterwards. Originally we thought most of the dishes would be Sysco food heated up, but I think Ruby's Inn actually makes a surprising number of items in house. Some notes for the meat selection: Pulled pork - dry but it's quite smoky like they actually smoked it rather than using liquid smoke. Zuppa Toscana Soup - might be from a bag, but is doctored a bit making it peppery and thick. Orange Chicken - gummy with thick breading and low meat ratio, but seems to be made with real orange juice in house. Meatloaf - dry with a thick layer of ketchup baked on top. Baked chicken - bone dry and extremely overcooked. For the carbs, there's sweet cornbread with a condensed milk sauce, rice pilaf that's surprisingly hearty, mashed potato that doesn't seem to be from powder or premix since it has small chunks still, that comes with chicken gravy, and finally mac & cheese, soft with a Velveeta-esque sauce. For dessert, there's vanilla and chocolate soft serve with Hershey's chocolate and caramel topping, and three types of standard buffet dessert squares. I don't make the food sound that appetizing (and honest it would deserve a 3 rating at max in any other setting), but considering the style of dining, the pricing, and the lack of competition in the area, it's good enough to satisfy. Pro-tip: try to time a visit around the tour buses. We arrived at 1:30PM on a Wednesday to a pretty empty restaurant. Thirty minutes later four entire tour buses unloaded their passengers, who were clearly ravenous due to eating such a late lunch. The restaurant instantly filled up and the line for food stretched down the hall and around the corner. Bathrooms - Plenty of larger rooms with multiple stalls around the hotel

One didn't have any carrots or beets or other toppings that I wanted for my salad like the other section did, so check out what is in the salad bar before you get in line. There was a lady waiting to refill the mixed green/lettuce, and I offered to let her do it but she wanted to wait until after me even though there were others also waiting. My mixed greens were not the freshest. Buffet had things like macaroni and cheese, potatoes, vegetables, chicken, meatloaf, and desserts.
