I really enjoyed the food from Hong Kong. They have a very diverse menu and the pricing is extremely reasonable. The lady at the counter knew a lot of the customers and orders on site and knew a lot about the menu for questions. They have two tables for dining in but most visitors seemed to carry out. I tried the egg drop soup this time around. It had very good flavor and wasn't too thin. It was also cooked always the way through without any cornstarch clumps. read more

I've been searching for good Chinese takeout since i moved to Nashville, and Hong Kong is the latest stop on this journey. It's in a small, older shopping center. No problem finding parking. It seems to be a popular takeout spot as people consistently came in and out to grab orders. Meh. I got shrimp, chicken, pork, and beef fried rice and NONE of them had any flavor. I had to use my own spices and soy sauce to make them taste like anything. The sweet and sour soup is pretty good, but that's about it!! It was a to-go order so didn't experience the service, nor the ambience. There are DEFINITELY better places in West Nashville. read more

We stopped in here on a whim. It is a small, order at the counter, mostly to go place. There are 2 or 3 modest tables which are not waited on. This is all we needed at the moment. The food was tasty. I saw from the reviews the steamed pot stickers and the General Tsao chicken was a must and that did not disappoint! We asked the person taking our order at the register what their favorite thing was and ended up with the Singapore noodles that had a variety of meat and veggies and was also delicious. We order a green tea on the bottle and it was also delicious. Overall, we were happy and would return to eat there. Most likely as a pick up and go order, but it's a little far from our house. Overall, I'd recommend this to people and warn to have low expectations for service and ambiance, but high expectations for food! read more

When I say this is the best Asian to go food around, I mean in. The Mongolian Beef with Onions could be my breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also, a basic egg roll by them is one to note! This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in nashville. The dumplings have become a new favorite in this household. Not only are the dumplings a great price for what your get, they also come with the best dumpling dipping sauce I have ever had. The chicken tastes higher quality than other Chinese restaurants. The general Tso is a classic. The black pepper chicken was so good! I have never had it before. The garlic broccoli was good, had a little kick to it which i liked. My boyfriend really likes the dumpling soup, I personally dont love the dumplings in there. I think they are too big for the soup. read more

I tried this spot the other week when I was in the area. I ordered honey chicken with fried rice and it came with an egg roll. I also got veggie lo mein and egg drop soup with wontons. The chicken was great! The lo mein had lots of veggies I don't usually see in lo mein, which I was excited about. Food is delicious and they really stuff the containers to give you large portions. Food was ready in 10mins and the chicken dishes were some of the better chicken from a Chinese take out. it's more of a take out place since they only have 2 tables inside but you could eat there too. Very clean and menu had lots of options. Definitely recommend. read more

3.5/5 is more like it It's your typical, local, pretty good Chinese food spot. This place has been here for years and I've eaten here somewhat regularly for at least 15 years now. My recent go to meal is the honey chicken meal with rice and the egg roll. Larger than average portion sizes, but typical hole in the wall quality food. That's definitely not a bad thing, though: sometimes getting right around average food is super tasty if you're wanting to have a cheat day every once in a while. Overall, def not my first choice for Chinese food, but still an addictive place to go for a quick lunch. read more

Hong Kong is our favorite local spot for take-out Americanized Chinese. It is affordable, quick, and always delicious. The shop is certainly not meant for eating-in, as the tables are few and usually a bit unclean. Every time we call they are polite, prompt, and have never gotten an order wrong. If you are looking for something quick, delicious, and affordable with no frills in West Nashville, Hong Kong is absolutely your place! I always recommend calling prior to getting your heart set, however, as sometimes they are sporadically closed (which was an occurrence prior to COVID; now I do expect hours and openings to be reasonably different given the state of things). read more

One of my favorite finds in Nashville so far. A pint of Beef Fried Rice (which is always good) goes for $7.75 after taxes & tip, which is the cheapest meal I've found in the city up until this point. Not the best eating experience by any means, but it's a strip mall Chinese place. For the purpose that it serves, it's a great place that I'll always come back to. read more

Dishes like soup dumplings and seafood noodle soup are all around solid. The noodle soup is quite flavorful and the seafood I tasted quite fresh. The soup dumplings aren't necessarily to rave for, but still solid. Staff are accommodating and easy to interact with. As a whole, a great spot to enjoy some quality Chinese food in a city where this genre is still quite limited or heavily Americanized.

Parking is in a private lot behind the restaurant and they validate parking for up to two and a half hours. I wish I could rave the same way about the food. While the cocktails were refreshing and they had a cocktail for every palate, my steak and eggs was bland. It came out a little closer to rare than medium, but I can live with that. But I am not sure I detected a speck of salt or pepper. The steak was at least tender and the sunny side up eggs were cooked appropriately. The potatoes were dry. And I did have the wagyu meatball appetizer. It's a large portion, so easily shared amongst two or three people. Cheesy and saucy with a little spice. The focaccia could've been toasted a little more. I considered the short rib hash, but my server told me it could be salty and hit or miss (I appreciate her honesty and she 100 percent should be praised for it). I came during brunch (even on a weekday). They also serve French toast, desserts, oysters, burrata, potstickers and tuna tartare, salads, burgers and other sandwiches. If you come for lunch or dinner, you can also get grilled salmon, blackened redfish, shrimp and grits, pastas (cajun chicken, pappardelle bolognese, tortellini) as well as various cuts of steak. It's conveniently located right across from the Frist Museum and is part of the Union Station Hotel. I would try this place again for dinner, but would skip the brunch. And again, Savanna was top tier! She deserves all the flowers!

The wings were some of the best I've had, and the lo mein, bulgogi and fried rice were all excellent. Watching someone who ordered after us receive food while we walked away with nothing was incredibly frustrating. The food here might be good--we honestly wouldn't know. But the system and communication were extremely poor, and the way the situation was handled left us feeling completely disregarded. When someone only has a couple nights in town, an experience like this really matters. I hope the restaurant works on their ordering system and customer service so others don't have the same experience.
