I have been lucky enough to visit Maui three times. Our favorite hotel is the Ritz-Carlton and a big factor of why we love it so much is the Honolua Store. We love to go there for coffee/breakfast in the morning and sit out on the lanai and enjoy the view. It's also a great place to buy snacks, souvenirs, etc. The service is always friendly. This shop is a 90 second walk from the Ritz and has everything you need, from sunscreen to wine to fresh produce and of course they're amazing deli! We had breakfast here four of the four mornings and lunch a few times too - and it did not disappoint. I found this place on yelp, lol! I was looking for coffee and tea. They have a full cafe in the back of the store. I was wanting a London Fog latte, so I asked they lady working if she could make one and she said tell me what's in it and if we have it no problem! She had everything for it. She whipped it up and told me to try it and that she could change anything if it didn't taste right. I didn't need her to change a thing. I love when people go out of there way like that! This store is the best! Stayed at the Ritz and made a trip here at least once a day. Over the course of a week, had many different items, my favorite was the kimchee fried rice with eggs over easy. The mac salad is also very good. Grocery staples were a little expensive. I don't know if that is just what things cost in Hawaii or if you're paying a premium for convenience. English muffins and bread were between $8-$9. They also have dole whip! mm mmm! read more

What a great little find by the ritz Carlton. We were looking for a cheaper food option in the area and happened upon the honolua store (it reminded me of an ABC store). We ordered the mahi moco and it was honestly such a great deal for what we got - we had a huge piece of seared mahi, tons of brown rice, perfect eggs, and some delicious gravy on top, all for 8.99. I would get that dish over and over. They also had a lot of great sandwich, salad, fresh fruit, and other plate lunch options. We also got an acai sorbetto for dessert that was light and refreshing / it came with tons of fresh fruit and granola/honey. I'd definitely eat here again if i was in the area read more

Nestled in lush Kapalua property is this great little store... and I can't really tell if its a great kitchen attached to an ABC Store, or if the ABC Store wanted to attach itself to a really great kitchen. Either way, if you're in the area (or even if you want to take a beautiful drive up coast!) plan for a stop at Honolua Store and order something off their menu. The kitchen is way back of the store, past all the tourist trinkets and sunblock displays. The Loco Moco was flavorful and served up hot and fast; my only gripe about it was the quality of hamburger patty- it was more like a prefab patty than handmade. I get it, all the golfers line up for their burger orders after playing their rounds, they are rich and demand immediate gratification so you have to do what is necessary to keep the line happy and moving. Even for a prefab burger, it was still moist and tasty, not dried out and leather-like. My girlfriend ordered the hash brown breakfast; now THAT was good! Eggs prepared perfectly, just like the moco... but the potatoes weren't soggy and sitting under a heat lamp or in some staging area. Crispy, tender, flavorful... and the veggies along with it were just as good. To set all of this off on another dimension, the food prices were REASONABLE! I honestly expected to be paying premium (hey, its Kapalua!) but was very pleasantly surprised by the prices. So remember... when in Kapalua country and you want band aids or sundry supplies, head over to the Longs Drugs just a few minutes away (unless you don't have a car)... but for hands down, super ono food at prices that won't drain da wallet on your okole, give Honolua Store a try! A big ABC store with a large selection of yummy, affordable food in the back. Hubby got the Kalua pork loco loco & I got the friend chicken meal with Mac salad & rice. Got a large bottle of water and a cookie to share and it cost us about 20 bucks all together. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the birds chirping & the pretty area surrounding it. This is the place I find myself going to for quick breakfasts (cinnamon bun is amazing!) also their omelets and egg preps are tasty. Also go here frequently for lunches. Their hobos local style lunches are a fav Maui memory and their hamburger is hard to beat. The Honolua Store is just a great place for those last min items from earplugs to wine to a bottle opener. They have food you can take home and heat up for dinner which is nice to grab when arriving from the airport late when you want to avoid a big store. These ABC stores are quite expensive for your everyday run of the mill items, it's almost as if they know what "tourist" want/need and only those items are marked up. However, they're always so conveniently located it's hard to shop elsewhere. This location has a deli inside of it however, I did not utilize it while I was at this particular location although, if it is anything like the other locations that do have deli's PLEASE EAT HERE. Love the store itself but the deli guy maybe needs to find a new job mowing the golf course instead. Stood in front of the counter for 5 minutes and were ignored. Thought maybe I'm in the wrong spot even though I've been here before and walked over to the coffee counter to try to order and he decides he's ready to take orders. My wife very nicely asked for a half pound of kalua pork, mac salad and lau lau. Dude scolded her "I'm only one person.. one item at a time." like she rattled off an order for 10 people. Then we get our receipt and go stand in line to wait to see he voided half our order. Just walked out and went to napili market instead. We just happened to be staying in the Kapalua area at the time the Honolua Store was reopening after renovations (January). They didn't change much, but what they did change was well thought out and made the store even better! Breakfast is inexpensive and hearty, with lots of different options. They also serve lunch at their deli, but I've not tried it yet. They have all kinds of snack foods, as well. Most importantly, they stock what I call "vacation sized" staples like butter and cheese. I made the rookie mistake of buying all kinds of regular sized stuff at Foodland, and although the prices were good, we didn't use even half of the goods in our two week stay. The renovation added a "super duper" (the word my girlfriend used to describe the..) liquor section. Being from Canada where you have to go to a designated "Liquor" store to get booze, this is an incredibly convenient addition. It's well stocked with many varieties of the good stuff. The reno also relocated the entry doors, from the parking lot side, to the street side fronting Office Road. Makes sense, and the flow in and out of the store is much improved. Parking is decent and it's easily walkable from pretty much anywhere in Kapalua. Now that I've learned my lesson, next year I'll be getting fish/meat, bottled water, and similar items at Costco, a few things at Foodland (juice, eggs, etc.), and the balance of my grocery items at the Honolua Store. One final note - If you're an impulse buyer of insanely tasteful kitschy souvenirs, I recommend you STEER CLEAR of the Honolua Store. I found it nearly impossible to walk in there without buying a bunch of crap I don't need. Very high quality crap, though. My hawaiian iPhone case has lasted a good 5 months without any damage or scratches, same goes for my many keychains, Kapalua coffee mug, and hawaiian islands decal that resides on the back window of my car. All very satisfactory. I highly recommend checking out the Honolua Store on your trip to Maui. read more

Not everything is under $10, but the prices are very reasonable, and the food is very goodPortions are substantial, so you won't go hungry. I had the loco-moco one day, a burrito another day, and eggs and bacon yet another day. Their coffee is really good as well and it's all walking distance from the Ritz! If you're staying close-by, this is a great place to pick up food, drinks, coffee and anything you might need during your stay in Maui. Their prepared foods are good and things there are reasonably priced. You're much better off picking up some rum (or your spirit of choice) and making your own drinks instead of paying crazy prices for drinks at the ritz or other closeby lodging. One note, for breakfast, their spam musubi is delicious. You can find it in a basket on the checkout counter. You can pick up a cheap pair of mask and snorkel here for 11 bucks. This place literally $AVED U$! As most of you know Maui is not cheap, neither is the Ritz Carleton. We were thrilled to be staying at the Ritz, but unlike many of their patrons we could not take full advantage of their dining options. That is where the Honolua Store came into play. They have a wonderful selection of breakfast and lunch options and their prices are outstanding. Their lunch orders will take a few minutes, unless you get a plate lunch, but it is all made from scratch. You can't beat a nice lunch for less than $10! They also have a nice selection of goodies that you can take back for your friends and family. If you are staying in the Kapalua area this place is a can't miss. read more

We were staying at the Ritz and having this store nearby was a blessing. This is basically an ABC Store with a coffee bar and deli inside. We came here a number of times to buy quick meals, drinks, and snacks (oh, and some wine, hehe). Store hours are 6:00a-8:00p daily. The deli and coffee bar are open 6:00a-3:00p, and the deli serves breakfast and lunch (there's outdoor seating for those who want to eat there). My family and I didn't order anything from there (they were usually closed when we came), but rather bought the ready made stuff like spam musubi, salad, sandwiches...be careful of the pre-packed meals with rice though, including the musubi. Some of them end up sitting under the heated display case for a long time, making the rice get hard or mushy. They have a microwave there, so a few times we got the cold pasta meals and heated them up to take back to our hotel room (eating a cheap meal with cheap wine on the balcony was so relaxing). For every $100 you spend, you can get a free gift - a reusable shopping bag, a mug, or 2015 calendar. I know it's like "yaaay..." for some people, but I get excited over small incentives so I got a HK shopping bag before our vacation was over. read more

Im rating this place for its overall convenience. They have a great little deli that sells good food at a great price. Sandwiches, salads, a few local eats, and a coffee bar. We stayed at The Ritz which is obviously overpriced and we ended up visiting the store everyday to buy food and snacks and essentials. It really helped with the vacation budget. Also, you can seriously buy souvenirs for everyone here. Actually we came in here quite a few times, more than the check ins indicate and enough to earn two free ceramic mugs (over $200 spent). Mostly we walked over from the RC to get our breakfast fix. The selection was pretty good both on cooked breakfast and bakery items. In addition to the dining option, they also have plenty of floor space dedicated to retail and liquor. The pricing seemed to be within reason and we bought a few trinkets to give to family back home. The mini mart items seems a bit high compared to mainland, but I think that goes across the entire island. My only knock on this place is that you have to get your order before they ring you up; if you are also purchasing coffee,drinks,etc. So you can either pay for both separately or place your order and then they will jot down your order on a slip of paper and then ring it all up with the food. Seems like there should be an easier process than that or having to pay for each order separately. read more

This place is probably one of the best places to eat for a nice taste of Hawaiian and American comfort food. It may seem like a strange choice as it's located inside a general store. I have to say it's such a great place. The area in which you order hot meals is located near the back end of the store. The staff is always polite and the space is very clean. You simply order, they hand you a receipt, you then can pay for it at the front desk or keep looking around the great general store and pay once you get your food. The food is always hot and made to order. I have eaten the Garlic Shrimp, mocoloco supreme, and katsu mocoloco. All of which is great! When you're in Maui. Check out this store. Great place to eat and/or shop! Very reasonable prices and quick service. The staff was so friendly and always smiling. Breakfast and lunch were both incredible. Shady spots to eat and they have DOLE WHIP you pump out like soft serve yourself. Maaaann I love this place, came here 4 times. You can watch the golfers play while you eat too.
