I was able to steal a bite of our son's Mac & Nut Pancakes that was a mouthful of sweetness.we were fortunate to have some other family members staying up that way so we told them to get in line when we were a half hour away and the timing was perfect as soon as we got there, we bypass the line and they were just being seated. Overhyped esp with dine in. Crazy wait times, so we ordered to go and sat on the grass and enjoyed! We went twice, once for the Mac nut pancake and once for a half portion fried rice. We liked the fried rice more than the pancake. The pancake was massive and a lot more than we needed or wanted and after a second day working on it we gave up. The whipped cream disappeared though! We also didn't notice any banana in it either. The fried rice was very good. rice was a tad soggy but the half portion was perfect for 2. Excellent service but expect a very very long line, mine was 1 hour 15 minutes. The wait is worth it though, the hype is real. The macadamia nut pancakes were top tier. I got the combo that came with bacon and eggs, everything cooked exactly how I like it, the eggs scrambled slightly soft and the bacon with the right amount of crispy. The POG juice was amazing. Still my absolute favorite in Maui! This is one of two place I HAVE TO VISIT each time in Maui. Get there early, or order to go out the back door. I dream about the macadamia nut pancakes when back at home, and I'm still trying to replicate their breakfast fried rice between visits. We waited over an hour in line to eat here because we heard the banana mac nut pancakes and fried rice were good. We got both and the breakfast burrito and all of it was so lackluster and mid. The banana mac nut pancakes barely had any banana or macadamia nuts. It was mostly bland pancakes and cream. The fried rice was so bland we had to douse it in soy sauce for it to be remotely edible. The breakfast burrito had crunchy, raw peppers in it. Also the host who also brought our drinks acted like I asked for a complicated fancy frappuccino or something when I asked for an iced decaf coffee. Rude service from her but our server was very sweet. It's evident that this place only cares about getting crowds in and out. We returned on 7-6-26. They have not changed. The food is the best we had on our whole trip to Hawaii. Same as what I ate in my 2015 review. Size of the portions was large enough for two meals. Helpfulness of the waitress was topnotch. Constantly refilling my water. The birds are as aggressive as ever. The line to get in is still long. This time, we sat at a table where we could watch the beach and the ocean (20 feet away). I learned that this restaurant started in 1975. They serve the best fried rice I've ever had (and I'm an islander)! That and the macadamia nut pancakes are a MUST! I'm not a fan of coconut or fruit on my food so I was hesitant to try the the coconut syrup - but it's absolutely delicious! I always get the corned beef hash and the POG juice alongside the fried rice. It's a huge portion so we get a half serving - but if you want leftovers, get a full order! When you're done, take a relaxing stroll around the beautiful coast. Tip for anyone who don't want to wait: Get it to go! We ate here this morning & it was wonderful. We showed up around 10:30 & waited maybe 30min in line, but it was a beautiful view next to the pool/ocean. We both ordered the eggs Benedict, but I had the vegetarian type while he had the traditional. We also ordered a side macadamia nut pancake since that's the specialty. They did not disappoint. Amazing views and one of the few options on the beach in the area. The lines can get long but it's quick and service is awesome. Food is fine. The egg Benedict was mid, but the fried rice was huge and solid, I spied the breakfast burrito that looked massive. Overall, a solid spot if you're walking distance and want a filling, basic, big portion meal. The views are stunning, but easily gotten at the beach below. My family and I finally tried this place even though they've lived in Lahaina for 7 years. We came on Saturday, 6/27/26. There was plenty of parking, and it was easy to find will all the signs. We got into the semi-long line at 10a and were seated at 10:45. There is a small 2-person bench that my mom and I sat in while my stepdad stood in line for us. Other than that bench, you have to stand in the sun. They provide umbrellas if you want protection from the sun or rain. The service was pretty good. They were nice and helpful. Our waitress could've been more attentive, but it also could've been worse. It's a pretty small place with a wonderful view. They played music at a good level. My mom liked her eggs benedict, side of bacon, and single pancake. My stepdad liked his combo specialty pancakes with coconut syrup, side Portuguese sausage, and some fried rice. I slightly liked my combo specialty pancakes and some fried rice. I tried my mom's potatoes that came with her eggs benedict, and they were burnt. I thought the food was a little bland. I've had better pancakes elsewhere, and these weren't that sweet or flavorful. I wish the fried rice didn't have purple cabbage or bell peppers and had more seasoning. The portions for the pancakes and fried rice were huge though, so that's good. I drink tap water at every restaurant I go to and my own house, and the Gazebo's was the gross kind. Popular breakfast spot with beach views. We read other reviews that recommended arriving here earlier than the 7:30am opening time. We arrived at 7am and it was 35 minute wait after opening. The line moved slowly because there's limited seating and people don't rush but it's a vacation vibe, so what do you expect. We ordered the combo pancakes and the half order of fried rice. The half order portion was huge - I still had leftovers after the meal. Cash and credit cards accepted but it's more expensive to use credit cards. We were staying within walking distance to the Gazebo, from all our research for this trip a must visit for breakfast. While there is usually a line to get in, I figured because it was rainy we would get right in. I was wrong, there was still a line. The Gazebo had large umbrellas you could use, the line is outside. The damp morning brought a beautiful rainbow over the water. About 50 minutes later we were in. There was a line the entire time we were there. The pancakes are the thing, and also it turns out, fried rice. Under their Specialties, I ordered White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, two fluffy pancakes topped with those items plus a generous topping of whipped cream. While it was wonderful without syrup, I did eventually try their white super sweet coconut syrup. Another in our group got for the table a full order of their Egg Fried Rice, and it was a mountain of food on a large plate. The savory rice really helped balance the sweet of the pancakes. All around amazing. The banana macadamia nut pancakes order comes with two perfectly cooked pancakes topped with a mountain of whip cream. I added their coconut syrup that is made locally and completely elevated the dish! My husband and I split the order and our waitress so kindly served it on two plates for us. We also ordered the fried rice to share - it was more than enough ! Could have done with the 1/2 order however, it was nice to have left overs for later. The fried rice was delicious and the perfect salty compliment to the sweet pancakes. In regard to the wait, we showed up about 30 min early and were able to be sat right away. But I can't - some people arrived around 6:30 to get in line to ensure they were seated upon opening. We arrived at 7:20 and it took about 40 minutes to be seated, so highly recommend arriving early. They stayed their line is like that every single day so just go take an early day to do this. The fruit was cooked into the pancakes which added amazing flavor. At first we thought they were just plain but quickly realized our mistake in this. The service was quick and efficient to make sure the turnover kept happening. I never had to ask them for a refill because they made sure my coffee stayed full. I highly recommend this place! We finally got to try this place! We were here in May and when we tried coming the wait was 2 hours!! But this trip we finally got to try it and it did not disappoint! We waited about 15 minutes in line. We are a party of 6 and the space is limited so we had to sit a separate tables which we didn't mind (they did have a table for 6 but we would've had to wait awhile for the group that was already at the table to be finished). They have umbrellas outside to use while waiting in line which is nice especially if you're going to wait in a long line in the sun. Service was great! The food was delicious. Overhyped. The wait is extremely long. If you're use to eating at great breakfast spots, this place will seem average at best. It's a very small place, but I will say the view is beautiful. They don't have a system in place for the lines, which caused some people who were far behind me, to get upset, when the 2 couples behind me, went first, not realizing I was ahead of them. They accused me of cutting line. When I had patiently waited for an hour To make things even worse, the older hostess, thought I was cutting line. Each one was huge -- we definitely could've ordered just one and added another dish for variety. * I ordered a tailor-made omelet, which came with home fries and sourdough bread. Since I'm gluten-free, I gave the bread to someone else. The food was all very good.
