Absolutely horrible! Don't waste your time and your money on them!!! They are so unorganized and inconsiderate. If I could give place negative stars I would!! Dropped off my vehicle off at 8 AM around 4 PM I called to see the status of my vehicle. They said they'll check on it and call me back. They called back 20 minutes later saying the receptionist has gone home and they don't know. Never herd back from them. They close at five. no curiosity call sorry for the delay we didn't get to it or pick it up tomorrow. Just radio silence! The next day comes, They open at 7:30 AM Still nothing from them. I just go there and walk in at 11 and ask for it. Upon driving in my car was in the same spot I parked it the previous day. I walk in and tell her my name, She said oh yes I was expecting you. It was almost done when you called yesterday. I asked her, if it was almost done why didn't we get a call back relaying that? She said we close at 5:00. I asked Or a call first thing in the morning? she said I don't know while shaking her head and stated she had a bunch of post it notes to tend too. We wait around another 10 minutes for her to looked at the computer and than for my keys (I also had to tell her where my keys were on the key rack) about this time it's almost 1200 after she gives me the keys walks me over to my vehicle she asks mechanic about it. apparently they didn't even touch the car at all! she lied about service being done the day before!! and then they're gonna give us our vehicle back without even having work done. The mechanic said he can work on it but it's gonna take a few hours at and that they were gonna close at 1:00. Side note: While we were waiting around for the paperwork and the keys, another lady was snapping that her car hasn't been taken care of in months that every time she comes in it's reschedule reschedule reschedule and she's tired of being rescheduled and tired of waiting around for months and months for her car to be taken care of. read more

Worst service department. Called about a tire balding on one side (out of alignment) on a 2024 Escalade v series I bought from them. They offered an appointment MONTHS out. I brought up safety and liability, lady claimed I threatened her and said I wasn't welcomed at their dealership anymore.. got a call a few minutes later to schedule a sooner appointment. Fast forward... day of appointment I arrive (with a 6week old newborn, mind you..) to them telling me their MACHINE IS DOWN and to go down the street! Clearly set up this way, to be petty lol. I was a very loyal customer, but over those 11 years service department at the counter must have changed at least five times. Impossible to get them on the phone to book even just oil change. Last visit for repairs they even broke off a piece of my door handle and have yet to call me with the replacement part. Too late as I have already traded in the car. Unfortunately I love the Cadillac product but would never buy from them again. Tried to contact general manager but unfortunately he was "out of the office" that day. Went to Honolulu GMC to sell my 2018 Subaru Wrx. Got messaged on Facebook by one of the sales representatives that they were interested in purchasing. Went to the dealership to sell my car and they told me that I would receive the check for my car Friday, and mind you I sold my car the same week on Wednesday. Come the next week I messaged them about the check and they kept saying they will check on the status of the check. My dad ended up going to the dealership and asked when we were gonna receive the check, and the dealership told him they don't know when the check is gonna come in or where the check is. If your planning on selling your car don't got to GMC! I basically gave them the car for free because they didn't pay me up front and lied about when the check was coming in! read more

I've been waiting for my infotainment system to arrive and install for over 4 months. Every time I call it's either backlogged or best case would arrive the week of Oct 14. I've been calling to get an update yet can't reach a person. I completely understand the concept of customer service and yesterday was completely unacceptable. I was on hold for almost 30 minutes to speak to the Service manager who was busy. I hung up called right back and asked for a call back but nothing. I even left a message before "holding" for almost 30 minutes and calling back. Got my first car here in November and ever since then I've had problems. I didn't know what I was doing but they let me leave with a car that had no plates, no tags and no registration sticker. Long story short, months went by still no plates so I went to the DMV myself and found out the car isn't even in my name! Update: GM Justen Chilcoat emailed me, and I tried calling him , left my name and number and NO RESPONSE. Kalae Mukawa, also no response to my observation of him sending a fraudulent car check report, of which I emailed him regarding. I bought a Toyota RAV4 and many items in the car check report were for a truck with a bed and a vehicle with a sunroof. Not my vehicle at all! Supposedly a respectable company, absolutely NOT!The WORST and DECEPTIVE company!Major NUMEROUS and BIG PROBLEMS with vehicle that were concealed and not disclosed. Sales agent stated they perform a 90 point check of the car to make sure everything is in proper working order. After having the car a couple of days I noticed issues with the brakes and a violent vibration when changing gears. I took the car to an independent repair shop and after they assessed the car they stated that all 4 wheels had virtually metal to metal brake pads. All 4 wheels urgently needed brake rotors, brake pads. All engine mounts were degraded and broken causing the violent vibrations and urgently needed replacing also the struts of the car needed replacing. I was advised not to drive the car until these serious issues were fixed. The car is UNSAFE to drive. I would like to know for the record what the Honolulu GMC and Cadillac 90 point check of the vehicle entails. The estimate to fix issues is $4,581.19! We called Honolulu GMC Cadillac 3 times and also reached out via email regarding these problems. No one has returned my call. Contemplating formal complaints. I will never buy another car from there and would advise others to do likewise. read more

It has taken me a while to post this because I really believe that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. However, I worry that other people may be victims as I was by the shady service department. I took my Cadillac to be serviced, the tires were good and it ran good enough for me to drive it all the way from Waianae. They kept my Cadillac for over a week called me up and said I needed a whole new engine. Well I just as soon purchase a new car. When I went in to get my car, intention of speaking with the sales person. However, there was a man standing behind one of the cashiers, smiling and staring at me. I didn't really think anything of it until after I refused to purchase a new engine he asked me if he could have my car. I said no I was going to get it home and confer with my husband who was out of town at the time. They brought my car around and told me that I should not drive it home that it was too dangerous. I called a towing company and when he got there, he called me and said my tire had been slashed! After getting the car home, I received a text from the mechanic that met me near the cashier and wanted to know if I was giving away my car. That seemed very odd to me. I did end up giving the car away, to charity, but it seemed to me that that was very shady and suspicious behavior. Because of that I opted not to buy another Cadillac and went to another brand. read more

Service is the worst in my almost 70 years of life. Took my car there waited for almost 2 months and I got a call from the service girl that they couldn't service my car because my battery is dead. What? Can't charge my new 6 months battery because they wanted to sell me a $500 battery. I spent over $10,000 in this dealership fix regular maintenance. I bought a lemon vehicle from here but they never disclosed to be the full reason why it was a lemon vehicle from the beginning. Try trading it in to other dealers and they ask me if I knew about the lemon title and I said yes and if I knew it was in a moderate collision I said no. Contacted them and they said oh it was a minor fender bender lies. Sold the truck went in to cancel the extended warranty they said I will receive a prorated refund and it'll take 30-45 days to get the refund. Thirty days later contacted the mainland financial for the status of my refund they said they didn't receive the cancellation form request from the dealer. They finally processed the cancellation now it'll take up to 8 weeks to get the refund. I would highly suggest to buy from somewhere else if you can. read more

Went to Honolulu GMC to view a vehicle we seen on Facebook marketplace. It was priced at 24,889 by one of the sales rep. The day we got there the vehicle was dead, they asked us to return the following day, and the vehicle was still dead except now they stated they needed to replace a battery and wires are exposed. Not a great look especially since we were interested in buying. Not to mention we came later in the day and they could have better prepared. The vehicle was dirty on the inside, with red dirt in the crevices of the seats when asked they stated that the car was detailed which it was not. The sales rep didn't really have any information in regard to the vehicle. The Tesla was also promoted as performance however it was only a standard range. That's a big difference in range. Ultimately it landed to the numbers not being right for us and we gladly walked away, but in the future would not recommend this place... read more

This dealership is very shady. I'm surprised GM hasn't shut this place down. The service area is like some backyard mechanics shop. VERY unorganized mess unlike other dealer shops. VERY tight to fit in stall so there's always a chance to scratch your car ....like mine. The wife wanted a small Caddy SUV. There was no way I'm buying a vehicle here. Lying sales manager, dumb oil techs over filling / under filling, scratch when service vehicle...instead went to Servco. Night and day difference sales and service techs and service booths. I've never seen this dealer service write up doing ZERO walk around for notes of dings or scratches on vehicle when you drop off.....WHY ? It's because THEIR mechanics and oil change techs are boneheads. Every time I take my car in for service there's a scratch. So, unless you have him do a walk around , you can't say that scratch or ding was them. .. THATS why they don't write up. They're careless. All other dealer service write up person do a walk around when you drop off your car. I gave up servicing my vehicle at this place. Buying a brand-new GMC Sierra EV from GMC Honolulu in December 2024 was a mistake I won't make twice. The sales team--especially Kathryn Benson--heavily promoted the federal EV tax credit as a key selling point. What they conveniently failed to do was provide the legally required Clean Vehicle Seller Report, which is essential for claiming that credit. When our accountant asked for the report, we realized we never received it. Since then, we've spent days trying to get in touch with someone--anyone--at GMC Honolulu. We've called. We've emailed. We've texted. We've left voicemails. All of it has been met with complete and utter silence. Meanwhile, GMC's marketing department has no trouble finding our inbox. The dealership continues to relentlessly spam us with sales emails, trying to push more vehicles and products--yet they can't be bothered to respond to a critical, time-sensitive request that affects our ability to claim a major tax benefit. This is not just poor customer service--it's outright negligence. Either they don't understand the basic requirements of selling EVs, or they simply don't care once the sale is done. She came in for safety check - said they couldn't fix a light to pass safety, and used high pressure sales tactics to sell her a $35,000 car she didn't need. She was crying the next day about what happened, and they refused to nullify the sale. Human garbage salespeople. Update after damage control response from Justen: My family has already spoken to you about the brand new 2021 Buick Encore you sold to Tutu a few years ago after claiming her old car couldn't pass safety check and couldn't be fixed because they didn't make the part anymore. But your salesman still offered to "take it off her hands" for $1000 because he "knew a guy who could use it." If he knew a guy who could do it, then he should have directed tutu to him to get the repair done instead of selling her a brand new car. I (not a mechanic) was able to buy a $20 universal light from Amazon, install it on her old car, pass safety, and sell it for $3500. Not mad about the trade-in vs private party cost, but it just shows that your team knew the problem could be solved and chose not to share that it the customer. read more

Bought a used car and in the deal was getting a second key made and programmed. Made an appointment the day we purchased the car before leaving. Went in for the appointment and the service department had no clue about it, went over to sales to see what was going on and told the guy to cut the key wasn't there and they were "trying" to get a hold of him. After an hour of waiting and not hearing from anyone I asked for the number to the key guy, who I called and had an answer within 5 mins which was "they never contacted me about this and I don't have the software to make that key" so it has now been almost a month of trying to get a hold of someone about getting my second key I PAID for for a car I purchased here. I would NOT recommend working with this dealership at all. They never answer or return calls and always have some type of excuse for everything. read more

I reached out to them and the Michael the service guy denied ever working on it and said "well how do I know you didn't work on it or take it somewhere else?" SHADY AF! Don't waste your time or money at this dealership that will try to scam you out of money if they can. I came in today for my recommended servicing package, which is in the attached Pic below. Just to be told by Micheal in serving that they don't do packages and that what I was saying didn't exist and he asked me to show proof of this so-called service package. So I pulled up the email I received from their dealership with all that came in the package along with the price of the services. I was told that they don't do that and won't honor what was already scheduled. I told them that if you can't do what I'm here for, then cancel my appointment, and I'll have to go to the other dealership. Micheal rudely said bye, I am stuned by the lack of professionalism and customer service. There sales is awesome but the service department sucks they don't answer you get put on hold for 45+ minutes. They never call you back and it like the workers don't even know how to do there job. One lady in that department was complaining how she had a headache from work and need to go drink and it wasn't even 9am yet. I have to drive all the way from Makakilo to speak to someone about the same issue. They were supposed to repaint the roof due to contaminates and fix dents also replace the armrest. Went to get my truck and the invoice said they completed all task. Well the roof was repainted but none of the other work was completed. Fraud! Johnny is full of BS and said thy replaced the armrest and I called him out saying why is it that the indentations in the foam the exact same and I want to see the original arm rest. Moose said he wasn't going to keep reordering armrest. Well if it's defective you better. Next step is BBB. If you're reading this you better replace it. I told them let's look at another Canyon to see and they said they don't have one on the lot which is BS cause there were several in front. Also it's almost 3 months since my purchase and I don't have my plates. When I inquired in person was told the DMV rejected the registration. I took off of work to bring my car in on the confirmed day and time and was told that the app doesn't work with their appointment system.
