Avoid this place at all costs. Crooked Sales Staff and incompetent Service Staff Bought a truck with a Buy Back title (they said it was a non-issue) drive it off the lot and immediately have a Brake Caliper fall off. They fix it after a week. Drive the truck for 2 years, go to sell it and nobody wants to buy it. Chevy dealership says they won't even look at it because of the title. So I bring it back to them and they buy it back 2 years later for almost half of what I bought it for. The manager gives me an extra $1,000 and says "If someone sold me that truck I'd have punched them in the gut." Now, they promised me the check for the sale within 3 weeks. it is now almost 5 weeks. Went in today and when I explained that I needed them to make good on their promise of a timely delivery of funds the manager laughed at me. Go anywhere else. WORST GMC DEALERSHIP EVER, AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!! Visited dealership today with my family to price and order a new GMC Truck only to be met with a manager who refused to leave his office to meet with us and provide specific pricing details and afford my family the opportunity to order a new model. INTSTEAD, he shamelessly hid in his office shuttling a young salesperson back and forth between his office and where we were forced to sit, insisting that a new truck would cost the exact same price as the few he had present in his inventory that included a 2024 model and a 2025 that both lacked any of the options we requested. No mention of incentives, military discounts, or even the opportunity to document a written quote or purchase order for a vehicle that met my requirements. This is exactly the kind of bait and switch tactic that gives the auto industry a poor reputation. After we sat at this desk for over an hour seeing that he was never going to meet with us face to face, we walked out empty handed. Owner should absolutely remove this guy for disgusting customer service and for letting a sale walk right out the front door. In 2016, I was thrilled when I bought my dream car, a Cadillac ATS. I mean it's a freaking Cadillac! However, I regret that decision because of the quality of Cadillac and the quality of their service department! The only Cadillac dealership on Oahu has lied to us and stolen our money. While looking into selling my car, I found out about the KBB Instant Cash Offer. After going through the process, an associate from Honolulu GMC contacted me. I expressed my concern at how low the offer was (my car, a 2013 with less than 70k miles) was priced more than 2k more on the private market. I told her I understood that the dealership needed to make money and adjusted my expectations based on the trade-in value. She assured me that Honolulu GMC pays top dollar and encouraged me to come in. What a mistake. First of all, let's talk about safety procedures. There were none. We are in the middle of a pandemic, and no one I interacted with wore a mask (even though they are required to by law). In fact, the associate joked that he had left his mask at home. No sanitation stations. Nothing. Thankfully, I had a mask and wipes. In terms of the process, it was what I expected. The associate I texted with was not available, so someone else helped me. He asked some questions, looked at the car, brought me back in the showroom, and then said that he needed to talk to his manager. If this sounds like the usual dealership experience, it was. The manager then went outside, looked at the car, and talked to the associate, who returned with an offer $400 under the already low KBB estimate. I am a knowledgable customer and individual; the same car, lower model, and higher mileage was being sold on a lot two blocks down for 6k more than what he was offering. Dealerships need to make money, unfortunately, it appears fairness was not in the cards here. When I expressed my disappointment, there wasn't even an attempt to negotiate. Overall, it is what it is, and my experience here did nothing to change my perspective on dealerships as a whole. Thankfully, I drove 10 minutes down the road and had a better experience, negotiating an offer that I was happy with and that was fair for both parties. I went car shopping and found a used car that was below the budget I had set. I told the car sales guy Sean that I had another offer that I planned to look at if they would offer me a better deal. Long story short, they misrepresented themselves with the car fax documents they showed me, unresponsive, and was unprofessional on so many levels. We were sold the wrong car in January and they still haven't resolved the situation. I got the corporate office involved November 1st which they responded by saying they would conduct an investigation and get back to me in 3-5 business days. It is now December 16th, and regardless of the 7 follow-up emails and 3 voicemails left, Lithia has failed to respond at all. I have been a customer since 2006, and traded in 4 vehicles since. After hearing they were a Lithia dealer, I was quite surprised because I've had notoriously horrible experiences at Lithia dealers across the island. These guys are truly the worst. I don't like leaving negative reviews, and most of the time I just chalk up my bad experiences to a service providers employee having a bad day, but this is definitely not the case. This outfit is extremely unprofessional, I've heard lie after lie from everyone there, from the salesman Brian all the way to the GM Justin. I bought a new Yukon Denali, in December, and traded in my truck to do so. My truck had a ton of equity and was only a few years old (Lifted Sierra). I was told I would receive a $35k check in 2 weeks after the sale - after 6 weeks of waiting and hearing all the excuses, the salesman Brian said "I never said that you would get your money in 2 weeks". When I reminded him of his exact words - he got real quiet and I left it at that as I did not want to push the issue further (just wanted my money). After finally receiving my check, a few weeks go by and the car died, engine failure at 4 months old. I wasn't mad about this because these things happen and its not the dealers fault - However when I said I wanted to trade out the suv because I  bought a new car and didn't want to own a lemon, he told me that I wouldn't be able to lemon the car AND if I was able to lemon the car I would legally have to buy another from that dealership that is the same cost or more. 2 things about this statement: 1) He wasn't even willing to try to find a solution for the customer unless it generated more revenue (even after all that has happened in a short amount of time) and 2) My understanding of the lemon law after previous attorney talks disagrees with every piece of that statement, and so I asked him to put what he told me in an email, he knew he got caught in a lie and walked away. BTW, the 2021 Yukon Denali was in the shop for over 60 days. If this is how they treat someone who is buying one of the most expensive vehicles they sell, how do you think they are going to treat YOU! I bought my car in June of 2022, there was something wrong with the stereo it works when it wants to and just won't work at all for days and all of a sudden work again. I was told and it's in the contract that I signed when I bought the car that it was supposed to be replaced completely. It's been a year of back and forth. Bout a month and half ago I was told we're going to replace it and we need to order the dash kit and it would take bout a week. That week came and went. I am moving off island in 3weeks and they were 100% completely aware and informed of this. I left for KC on the 28th of may and was told that it would be done before I come back on the 18th then I was told the dash kit wasn't coming till the 24th of may but I was assured that it would be done by the end of the month before I need to put my car on the boat. It is now June 13 I been calling and checking to get the status of the dash kit and was told today that the dash kit was recalled. GOOGLE is free I was able to find one that works..... i don't see the problem. I want what I was promised, the dealer got my money but I wasn't given what I was promised. However, when I came in I was told the vehicle was under maintenance and wasn't able to be shown; not even an estimated wait time was given. This is UNACCEPTABLE, and I was given the lame excuse that the workers job is just to get people in, and they don't have any actual knowledge of the inventory. Ok, so the sale of the car went off without a hitch. Got a nice deal on an Encore for my mom. Matt, the sales person was delightful to work with. Not pushy and made the transaction painless. The service department here, however, sucks. We had a little problem with mom's car after we took delivery. A small issue with the Navigation system (SD Card Error message). Called our sales person who said to just stop in and check with the service manager - he may be able to fix it and it may be something simple (turns out, it was). So we did. The girls working the service area advised we need an appointment and we couldn't' just have the SM take a look at it but instead required us to make the appointment and leave the car for the day. So, we set the appointment, brought it back, dropped it off. Was told we'd get a call back that morning to give us status. . . . . tick tock . . . tick tock... fast forward to 2 p.m. Not hearing anything, and needing the car the next day, i tried calling. what a joke. No one answers the phone. left messages, no one calls back. Finally called again at 4 p.m. to have the call answered by who i assume was a mechanic. He checked and tells me that apparently they are waiting to hear back from General Motors on this issue. Well, i need the car back! He was like "oh, ok guess you can come get it then". When I arrive there's a guy in the car checking it (and its sitting in the same spot i left it by the way). I don't think they even bothered to check it until then (5 p.m.). Mom bought a car because she needed a car . . not because she wants to leave it at the dealership for days on end while they sit on their hands allegedly waiting for GM to call with a fix. So I take the car and tell the guy to call me when they hear back from GM. The next day, i was amazed to hear back from him with a simple fix, which should have been done the day i brought it by. . . make sure the SD card is unlocked. I checked it, unlocked it and that did the trick. I wish they would have actually checked the car while they had it instead of taking it in for the repair and being lazy and punting to GM to come up with a fix. Try maybe looking at the car before contacting GM? Sorry, but if this is the type of service they have to offer after they sell the car, I have some concerns about the "what ifs" . . what if something major is wrong with the car? How many days (or weeks) will it take to repair it, especially since they won't even start looking at it until late in the day. Unfortunately, this vehicle had all the the things my mom wanted on a car, so she bought the Buick . . . and even more unfortunate, they are the only dealer in Hawaii. read more

Reviews for 2 separate occasions: I got an email that they wanted to buy my car back, so I went in to see if I could sell them my car and get a new car. The sales guy asked me if I had the registration on me and I said no, I must have forgotten it at home. He asked for my key so that he could check out the car and asked me to wait inside. When I got in my car, everything was moved around like someone was looking for something. A week later I get an email regarding my credit score, they did a credit check without my approval or knowledge. My car has been jerking when pressing the breaks, the Engine light is on and the Traction Control System light has been going on and off every once in a while, so I took it in for them to fix. I paid over $1,000 for the repairs and they told me that everything is working fine. I drove my car today and the engine light is off but it still jerks and the Traction Control System light still turns on after the jerking. I finally get in touch with them via email (thank you Samantha). Hopefully these issues get resolved soon. read more

Giving an update to my original 1-star review. After writing my first review, I was contacted by Samantha from the service department and was finally able to get my car serviced, just within the 60-day window. It turned out that my rotors were warped and alignment was off; the rotors weren't technically covered under the warranty, but due to the issues in miscommunication between us and the sales department about the terms of the warranty, we asked that they cover the costs, which they did. Samantha in particular went above and beyond to make our experience right, and I am very thankful for all her efforts. I haven't given a full five stars due to our initial experience, but they did make a true and honest effort to fix it in the end, and we appreciate that. read more

How often can we say we have had an EXCELLENT experience with a car dealership repair department? In my case never- UNTIL NOW! I turned in my vehicle last week due to a MAJOR malfunction (car's computer quit). I agreed to the $220 diagnostic charge, and was getting myself mentally prepared for the inevitable overpriced parts/labor that was sure to be required. Instead they called me to say that the vehicle had been fixed and road tested, and that the total due was only $250!!!
