Very good! Ordered this for Mother's Day and everyone loved it. Will definitely order again!

I tried the spicy ahi poke bowl at this mom-and-pop spot and thought it was just okay. The flavors were decent, but it didn't really stand out compared to other poke bowls I've had. That said, they do offer a nice variety of other bowls and sushi options, so there's plenty to choose from if spicy ahi isn't your go-to. It's a solid neighborhood spot with options for different tastes.

Always nice to have a quick lunch to go from this place. The owners are nice (they love babies, so if you're not comfortable with people pinching your baby's cheeks, this place might be not for you). I don't mind it, but I prefer them not to haha. The grilled salmon maki is my favorite. I don't eat raw fish so I cant review how fresh their menu is. All in all, pretty good for what it's worth.

Conveniently located next to the mall on piikoi. Some metered parking right outside the restaurant. There are also 3 tables there if you wanna dine in but it's mostly a takeout spot. The fish was fresh albeit not the top cut. I thoroughly enjoyed their freshly made hamachi roll and rainbow roll! The rice and other ingredients were also good. You can place an order online for pick up. I like how they don't close till 8pm (last order 7:30) so you can get their food for dinner, not just for lunch.

    Ahi Poke Bowl

Poke bowl was freshly made, rice just right and ahi tuna very tasty. Order was made as requested remove jalapeño peppers and add avocado. Service was friendly and speedy. Chaptgp sent me here.

    Veggie Tempura (3 pcs)

My husband and I ordered Red Dragon roll, California Tempura roll, order of shrimp tempura and an order of vegetable tempura. This place is a mom and pop establishment that has outstanding food. The owners are super nice and obviously love to please patrons with their great food and service. Take out is available but you can also eat in. There's a great selection of food so you're bound to find something you like and the prices are reasonable. Try it!

Food was amazing, the service was fantastic. The gentleman behind the counter went out of his way to accommodate my request. Everything is a great price. The ambiance is very nice as well, with it being in close proximity to our hotel whilst maintaining a cozy atmosphere.

    Menu

Chicken katsu bowl is a go to for someone who loves the crunch of panko. Comes with a bit of imitation crab and drizzle of a savory sauce on a bed of white rice. The spicy ahi roll is a clean and not fishy, good amount of spicy mayo and well cooked rice. This is not a place to pig out. Prices are expected for a small hole in the wall. Everything made to order by the nice old couple that runs this place. Definitely a place to go and check out.

Ordered from uber eats and not sure if the delivery person refrigerated this or if the roll was cold to begin with? I was expecting a warm roll since the salmon was grilled? But pretty big sized roll and the flavor's good.

I came to Honolulu Sushi at 7pm on a Thursday, and it was completely empty. There were only two people working, and the lady in the front was very welcoming. She was very patient as I took a long time to order. My mom and I shared the ahi poke bento, and I got a vegetable hand roll for myself. The ahi poke bento was a really good deal at around $15. It came with 4 nigiri (ahi, salmon, shrimp, tamago), 3 hosomaki (cucumber, takuan, and ahi) and a decent amount of ahi poke and rice. The poke was super fresh, but a little over seasoned for my liking. The vegetable hand roll was okay. It had lettuce, cucumber, avocado, kampyo, and takuan. I wish the vegetables were distributed more evenly because in my first few bites I was just eating lettuce and rice. I did takeout, but there are a few tables inside. The parking lot here is small and confusing to navigate.

Would definitely return, the service was good, there's lots of options, and the food was super tasty. My only note is they go a little heavy on the rice. The rice is super tasty but in the making roll it was a bit heavy! I got a grilled salmon maki and a crunch bowl. They were both amazing.

The sushi here is delicious and tastes so fresh! It's also pretty affordable too, I got this pack of 8 nigiri for about $15. The spot is a little hidden, it's in an area with other vendors.

Off the Hook delivers consistent, high-quality poke bowls (trays?) in the heart of beautiful Manoa Valley. I've been coming to Off the Hook since it opened way back in 2018. While the prices have steadily increased, the delicious poke has remained the same. For poke bowls, you have several options to consider: 1) Mini or regular size 2) Rice option (white, brown, sushi, or green salad) 3) One or two choices of poke At this point I've tried almost every one of their poke offerings, and they are all fantastic. You cannot go wrong with whatever you choose. However, I'd say 95% of the time I stick with the Cold Ginger Ahi and the Spicy Ahi. These are guaranteed hits. I also really like the Wasabi Furikake Ahi. Lastly, makes sure you load up on their free toppings! Masago, tempura flakes, and scallions. Yummmy!

The soy-based sauce lets the clean, buttery quality of the fresh raw ahi take center stage without masking the natural taste of the fish. Standout Textures: The real star of this bowl is the inclusion of crisp sea asparagus and toasted macadamia nuts. The sea asparagus provides a fresh, salty crunch, while the nuts add a rich, buttery bite that elevates the whole dish beyond a standard poke bowl. The Base & Mix-ins: Loaded with limu (seaweed), furikake, and fresh greens over warm sushi rice. The contrast between warm, lightly seasoned rice and chilled, high-grade tuna is spot on.

SHOYU ONION AHI POKE BOWL (REGULAR) - 13.85 + 6.85 for a slab of uni on the side The bowl was pretty simple, just fish + rice, plus my side of uni. I slurped up the uni immediately, and it was fresh, creamy, and bursting with umami. It was off to a good start, and I'd most certainly pay for that again. The shoyu poke was marinated lightly, so it wasn't too salty. The fish was fresh, but I didn't think it blew my mind. Overall, though, this was a decent portion of poke for the price. I wasn't too familiar with some of the other ahi poke options, but in hindsight, I think the Hawaiian Limu Ahi would've been a better choice for me. The seaweed mixed into the poke would've given me more of the umami burst I was looking for. Maguro Brothers is easy and convenient. I can see it being the go-to poke spot for grabbing a bowl and taking it to the beach.
