Dry rub ribs. Sweet potato fries. Baked beans. Pulled pork.
    Brittany B.

The ambience was very cute with an all-American vibe; patriotic, flags and comfy pillows in the booth. I loved the pillows, made me want to stay for a long while. The radio was playing country. The TV had...actually, I don't remember what the TV had on. Which is pretty nice, since some places have the tv so loud and in your face it makes it hard to enjoy the people you came with. Our server (I think their name was Dylan, but I may have misheard!) was EXCELLENT! Very friendly, asked clarifying questions when we ordered, got all our items quickly and even remembered somethings we forgot. Made good recommendations on the food. Very attentive and kind. The owner was all smiles and friendly. I definitely got a good vibe from this place. All this points to a stellar experience that I would return to, but unfortunately I gotta say the food was mostly a miss. The baked beans were a little hard. I liked what they did with the presentation but I they were under cooked. The bacon green beans were more vinegar than bacon. The Mac n cheese needed more salt but that also could be a perceived lack of salt caused by the salty Texas Twinkie, which was the second best thing we tried. Not that any of the food was bad. Far from it. But I've had turkey and brisket from Texas and bbq sauce from Tennessee and this didn't hit. The turkey and ribs were dry it seems they don't have an actual smoker on site. What they could probably pull off really well with the equipment that they have is a great smoked salmon or rainbow trout. If they marinate it well, it'll be stellar. The pulled pork was mid. The brisket was good but still missing something. And most items tasted like vinegar. It should have the zip but not overpower. That being said... I would come back just for the sweet potato fries and the house old fashioned. I have no idea what wizard they made a deal with to unlock the secret of the best sweet potato fries in existence but they did something magical here. Also, we get an old fashioned at every bar we go to and this one was smooth as silk and tingled the tongue. No whiskey bite, which I normally look for but I can't complain. Definitely recommend. If this place can figure out its BBQ, they'll have something pretty special here.

Decided to try this place cause of all the good reviews and I was not disappointed!! First of all the service was fantastic the girl with the colorful dreads was so sweet and helpful with suggestions! I got the lean brisket, chicken wings and fries! All so tasty! The wings especially were my favorite! Loved the pickles it came with! My sister got the turkey and beans and they were also so tasty and juicy! I got the cornbread and butter and omg do not go there without ordering it!! The best I ever had! My one and only complaint would be I wasn't a fan of the bbq sauces. They were all tangy so if you don't like tangy, you won't like any of the three flavors

Another episode of "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!" Okay the Good; The smell when you walk through the door is Legit! Smokey and enticing. The place is good size and is clean with plenty of tables. The Honor Old Fashioned is " On Point" The Corn Bread is a big thick fresh slice that is moist and delicious, and the butter is Soft. The Texas Twinkie was mostly good. Big and served hot. Good Flavor but the Brisket filling was a bit pasty from over-purée ing it! The meat looks dry but I will attest it is quite the opposite! Moist and tender. The Sausage is exactly what you get in Texas. Crispy and Smokey and a bit spicy. The Chicken Tenders, best thing on the table maybe! Definitely made in house and fried to perfection, not overdone yet crispy! And the Deviled Eggs are good. The Brisket has almost no flavor of Smoke or Rub. The Bad; Reiterate the Twinkie was good but has room for improvement. The Peach Cobbler was huge! It however was meh, nothing special and mostly Peach and it really needed more of the Cobbler part and it was only slightly warmed. The Slaw, while made fresh, had a bit of crunch and plenty of dressing was also nothing special. Look it's better than 89% of what is being served all over town. It just would be so much better if there was a bit of pizzaz to it. Some spice or herbs or onion or anything to make it pop! The Beans are Basic as well, Needs work! The Mac and Cheese...Don't waste your time! No Cheese,No Flavor, No Effort! It's creamy but that's it! Overall these guys do a good job with the meats and are giving Great service. But if you are going to the trouble of making your sides, and they are, then put forth a little more effort or why bother. So Good overall but not worth the long drive to get this meal.

    Turkey, brisket and sides.

From the service upon arrival, to the recommended cocktails, we had a great time. The beer is cold and being from TX, the bbq is actually very good. The brisket was juicy and that turkey was actually smoked. The sides were great and the in-house sourdough roll on the burger did not suck. I'd head home after this meal and sleep it off. Can't wait to head back!

We stopped in for the first time and had such a great time. The food was very flavorful and had great portions! The potato salad is one of the best that I've ever had! Also our server Amanda was great! Very friend and knowledgeable of the menu! A definite must try, you won't regret it

As a Texas girlie, barbecue is comfort food to me, and I try to visit every place in town that offers it. When I heard this spot boasting about Texas style meats and Tennessee style hospitality, I added it to my calendar for some wholesome election day stress eating. I got the pick-three combo with turkey, smoked wings, and brisket, plus sides of mac and cheese, potato salad (at the server's suggestion) and added on a Texas Twinkie - their word for their bacon-wrapped jalapenos stuffed with brisket and cheese. Overall, I was pleased with my meal. The restaurant smells like barbecue when you walk in, to whet your appetite, and everything came out reasonably fast. The turkey was juicy and flavorful, and I really liked the dry rub on the wings. However, the brisket looked dried out and reheated? It didn't taste awful, but was a little fattier than appropriate and was not visually appealing. The Texas Twinkie was okay, did not seem to have cheese in it but was a large portion that went well with their house ranch (from the wings). I did enjoy the sides, the potato salad was fresh with red potatoes and the macaroni seemed to use a white cheddar and included bagel seasoning, which was an interesting twist. Service throughout was great, though I did not catch her name. Location was clean and decor is perfect for a BBQ joint, with American flags and wood furniture, plus a large bar in the middle. Hopefully I just caught the brisket on an off day. This spot is far for me but one I'll be suggesting that others try!

Honor BBQ is a neighborhood BBQ spot located at the main entrance of the Mountains Edge Community. Upon entering, the hostess was friendly, and sat us promptly. We were quickly greeted by the waiter, and went over some items on the menu. We took advantage of the bar, and ordered a couple cocktails, and started with the fried deviled eggs. The eggs were nothing spectacular, but I dont think much flavor is gained from frying a boiled egg. There is probably a better deviled egg recipe that would represent the BBQ pallet. For the main course we decided on 2 meats and 2 sides to share. The choices were sliced brisket, jalapeño Cheddar sausage link, street corn, and sweet potatoes fries. All the food was great. The sausage was one of the best I've had, and the brisket was full of flavor and moist. I particularly don't care for biscuits a whole lot, but the biscuits here are amazing. I'm going to say it was some type of Cheddar biscuits, but not sure on the recipe. I didn't have room for Desert, but planning on stopping in to just get some pie and a coctail at the bar. My only criticism would be that this place didn't have the BBQ smell inside. I feel like that smell of BBQ smoke, wood burning, sets the mood, and gets cravings going for some BBQ. There are TVs present so you can have dinner, and not miss the big Game.

Right in the neighborhood! We walked in and were cordial let to a window table. We ordered 2 combo plates. One is Brisket, ribs with green beans and coleslaw. Other one is brisket, pulled pork and sausage with baked beans and fries. The rib meat falls off the bones and absolutely delicious. Brisket is so tasty one sauce is needed, the side dishes are very good! Definitely will go back!

Saw this place driving by and said let me try it. The establishment is clean and very tastefully done. Smells great inside. Beautiful bar that I may have a drink at down the road. Ordered brisket only. Had it chopped up. It's $14 a half pound. Got original sauces with it. Come home and opened up the package. Lots of big fatty pieces. That's fine, I put them aside. Tried the meat, it was not super tender. It wasn't bad tasting but I've had better. The original sauce was terrible. Maybe just not for me. It also came with a roll, maybe a cheese roll of some sort and butter. That was meh. Overall, I won't buy brisket again. I do want to try the ribs next time. I alway give 2 tries if I didn't like the first unless it was just horrible which wasn't the case here.

Beans are not even cooked and the liquid is Apple cider vinegar.
    Jesse D.

I wanted to like this place so much but the food was just liquid smoke and sides soaked in apple cider vinegar. Spent over 100$ for small sides and fake bbq flavor. Would be nice to taste those REAL SMOKE FLAVORS but was overwhelmed with liquid smoke. I actually did go in and didn't smell any smoke. Did not even give off bbq vibes inside looks like the previous restaurant even down to corn hole outside. If you want real BBQ there is a place right down the street that's a popular food truck turned brick and mortar.

My family and I visited Honor BbQ on 7/13 and our service was amazing. Our server, Bobby, was very attentive, friendly and informative. He gave us a run down on the foods on the menu, his recommendations and what he thought we might like based on what we told him. We chose some of his recommendations and they were absolutely amazing. The meats had great flavor, the sides (street corn & Mac and cheese) were so yummy. After our meal, we ordered desserts, basically one of each item, and they were all on point. My husband and daughter love the chocolate cake. This is a new BBQ place and I must say, they're pretty tasty. The staff were great and very friendly as well. The ambiance was chill and relaxing, not overly loud so you can have a conversation without yelling. All in all, good place to bring the family.

This was ok. I had different expectations after hearing how the owners or cooks background was. The corn bread appetizer was a waste. So small. The play portion was ok. Their prices were reasonable considering the portions they served. The ambiance was nice and the waitress was nice. Not sure if I will return. I've had better unfortunately.

Located in the Uncommons, I parked in their parking structure. I hung out for longer than 2 hours so I think that's why I paid $3 for parking at the end of the night. Entrance located in the Quad Area. Our waitress Bella was sweet and recommended the right drinks. We tried the Li Hung Hula margarita, Monkey In A Tree piña colada, and the Oso Panda signature cocktail. All drinks tasted amazing and looked very good. I loved the ambiance of this place. They have outdoor patio seating and inside seating. It gives a comfy feel with their seat cushions, small tables, and stools. I noticed it got busier as the night got later. They have one T.V. that they had on when I came in but was covered up by the time I left. I definitely recommend this place. Glad I came after dinner as they do not serve food here. I would definitely come again!

I will say on weekend nights, I had always seen this place crowded and lively. I was for sure curious. On a weekday evening, I strolled into this venue. It had great chill music and had some customers, but not busy at all. The weather had been a little more humid than usual and with the full opened walls/doors to the outside patio, it was a bit warm, little muggy sitting at the bar. The decor is really nice though, a really good tiki vibe. The bartender addressed us right away and we were first looking for an espresso martini but they had a Carajillo, which was explained to be a Spanish version of an espresso martini. The bartender said it was really good. We got it - and you have to expect something that is the same as the espresso martini. The flavor was alright, but the knock for me was that it was all ice. There was very little drink in it. The agua fresca was a winner - the Sundown Sipper. It was refreshing and a great blend of juices. Not tart, perfect amount of sweet tropical flavor. I did really enjoy this. If you're not a drinker, you have options here.

It's large enough to serve as a light but satisfying meal on its own. The Maine lobster ravioli was solid, though I wished for more creaminess in the sauce and more distinct chunks of lobster. The filling leaned more toward a lobster cream rather than pieces of lobster. The sea bass puttanesca was baked to perfection, and the sauce was flavorful. It would have been even better with a side of pasta to soak up the extra sauce, as there was quite a bit left. It clearly wasn't memorable, because neither of us could recall a single dish we ordered. This time, our timing was really bad. We arrived on a Sat afternoon to find a massive wedding reception taking over about 80% of the place. The noise level was wild, women screaming like they were at a Chippendale's show. Honestly, it would've been better for everyone if they had closed down for the event instead of letting paying customers sit through the fiasco. We came specifically for their $19 two course lunch special, which is a solid deal in this depressing economy. The salads were great, fresh, flavorful, and dressed perfectly. My man enjoyed his spaghetti & wagyu meatball that was enormous, soft, and delicious. My fettuccine Alfredo was also promising, loaded with mushrooms and plenty of chicken, but the chicken was rubbery and inedible. It ruined the dish for me. As we were finishing, the wedding party started popping balloons and I nearly jumped out of my seat each time. Between the screaming, balloon popping, and my rubber chicken - 2.5 is a realistic rating because we left with headaches. Not exactly the relaxing and yummy weekend lunch we hoped for.

It delivers that street corn flavor, but with a good mix of textures and spice. My tacos were delicious. I tried one grilled shrimp taco and one carnitas taco, served with rice and beans. The blue corn tortillas were a nice touch and pillowy soft! The carnitas were amazing, great flavor and super tender. Adhering to the Brazil vibe, it has a gold jaguar climbing the bar and a very chique vibe with pops of gold and patterned seat upholstery. And it's a perfectly convenient stop for a drink when meeting others in the lobby to leave for dinner. Bartender Christian is as friendly as all the staff at the Rio and took great care of us. The cocktail game is real and we had some excellent, beautiful drinks. There was a live singer some nights. (Lapa & Luckley's have happy hours a few days a week) Also, I don't know how often this happens, but while in the casino we were given a buy one get one coupon for drinks here! But be sure to tip on your total before the discount ;)

Fire orange like the colors of the Phoenix, then a switch to neon blue hues of color all above me!…read moreHow appealing and seductive the lights are! Flare is an extremely unique experience and lure! The lights continually change making drinking oh so exclusive and fun! On my most recent visit, I lent my ear for someone that so badly needed just someone to listen too. This someone is my bff. I will always have her back, and vice versa. Where better than a bar to distract her. The lights of flare have always been something that distracts her. Wanting to stay away from the strip and closer to home this bar is a fantastic location for both of us. Flare is located in the Silverton Hotel in the middle of the casino. Free covered parking, no cover, minimal people, and not touristy; perfect place for us. We arrive at different times, with my friend still stuck in traffic I just sit with a beer waiting. After she arrives she orders a Crown and Coke. I give the bartender the card and ask him to start a tab. As we sit here the orange and red hues wash over us from above, bathing us in its color. As it switches to bluish green we notice the pink coloring. My bff is smiling now we are getting somewhere. The smile from my bff is perfection and it is so great to see her smile. The tears were checked at the elevator as I watched her approach Flare and her eyes were immediately engulfed in the changing lights from above my head as I sat at the bar. Getting up I hugged my bff and the bartender seemed particularly interested in my friends unsettled mood. The bartender even asked what was bothering her. This bartender was so attentive to our order ensuring that we were not bothered by anyone asking to buy us a drink or if we needed a shoulder to cry on. As we drank the compassionate side of the bartender was fantastic. He even bought us a round of Crown and Coke too. Aside from having a wonderful bartender, whom was alert and always on his toes for keeping our drinks coming and water cups filled. The bar is a great place to try your luck with blackjack. The machines on the counter are level enough with the most comfortable chairs that I have sat in. The chairs at the bar are white bar type stools that are very fancy. This bar has that old world feel to it. Having traveled to many places, my favorite were those small homely places that are so ordinary that you have to stumble upon it to know it's greatness. When I discovered Flare my husband was gambling and I wanted a drink. The color changing of the lights beckoned to me. Answering the call, I discovered my cozy new place. My bff fell in love with the concept they used in designing the bar. As I listen to my bff the lights above keep changing. My eyes are constantly being drawn to those tempting lights. After a while the Crown and Coke got old, plus we wanted to walk out of the bar after drinking; and not be carried. Switching it up we asked our bartender what he would drink after so much Crown and Coke. His suggestion was beer. They offer a special happy hour price for $4.00 a bottle for Miller Lite. That's what we had, everyone likes happy hour prices. With work tomorrow and my bff mood changed we are going to find some food. They do not sell food here so it's off to find something delicious to absorb all the alcohol we partook of. In our merriment the service and atmosphere of Flare was exactly what we needed to reset ourselves. Come and see what the lights of Flare will do to you. The experience was magical and the bartender was fantastic. Thanks to making our troubles wash away and be replaced with hues of new color to enchant our week!

Firefly has been on my mind for a couple of months and I decided to book a reservation here at their southwest location for our monthly date night. They also have another location on Paradise Road. Through Yelp, I made a reservation for 6/20/26 at 7:30pm. I guess a reservation wasn't really necessary because it wasn't busy when we showed up and there were plenty of open tables available. It did start getting a little packed towards the end of our visit, though. Tucked away in the back of the restaurant is a small, cozy bar and more regular seating. We started off with some cocktails. I got myself a La Paloma and my LTP got the Fly Tai (possible pun on Mai Tai?). The La Paloma was very fruity, had a salty orange rim, and a dried orange slice on top. The Fly Tai was also fruity and had a dried rosé on top of its' frothy texture. We were also given complimentary bread along with a scoop of butter. Next, we ordered the tapas. We weren't 100% sure how big they were going to be, so we decided on one to share, one for me, and one for him. We ordered the following; Serrano Sliders, Manchego Mac and Cheese, and Tortillas a la Española. The Serrano Sliders came with crispy onions on the side that you can put on by yourself. I'm not a big meat person anymore but these sliders were totally delicious! The Manchego Mac and Cheese was excellent and probably one of the best mac and cheese dishes I've had in a long time. The Tortillas a la Española had a very colorful orange sauce drizzled on them and they were basically like cubed mashed potatoes. The portions on each tapa were very decent and weren't too big for us, so we ended up sharing all three of them due to their size. I loved everything about this place, especially the mac and cheese. The ambiance that had perfect date night feel to it and the service was excellent from beginning to end. I would love to come back again!
