This was our first visit, and everything exceeded our expectations! I always order Brussels sprouts whenever I see them on a menu, and these were hands down the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The homemade pizza and pasta were incredible--fresh, flavorful, and even better than we expected. The Caesar salad wasn't just a side salad; it was a meal on its own! So crunchy, fresh, and packed with flavor. Last but definitely not least, our server Mandy made the experience even better. This is a favorite in our house. My 6 year old requested this for dinner to celebrate her birthday and we gladly obliged. Having gone a handful of times and experienced different servers, shopped around the menu and explored most of the cocktail menu, this has become a staple stop in our neighborhood. The pizzas are generous size, delicious and will make you make the tough decision of ordering a pizza with your entree or not. The chefs specials have been a home run every time and they listen to the people and add the favorites as menu items. A sleeper item on the menu as well is the bread, don't skip it! Service. The service is always great. The staff checks in regularly and has several fine dining tendencies that carry over through out the visit but still keep it a little more relaxed and friendly than fine dining. The staff also always takes the time to make it a special experience for my 6 year old. The atmosphere is busy and upbeat. What a cute place! My sister and I came for brunch one Saturday morning before heading out for shopping right as they opened. Wasn't super busy, but we did do a reservation just in case. I really liked the interior, really cute. There was lots of seating, including bar seating. Our server was attentive and very kind, she was also very on top of it! They weirdly didn't have coffee drinks on the menu, but they did have brown sugar syrup and was able to do simple lattes which was very kind. I ordered the eggs benedict and we got the fruit plate to share. What intrigued me about the benedict that made me get it was that it was on foccacia rather than english muffin and had prosciutto. Super happy that Nudo opened in our neighborhood since their happy hour is great value! We came twice, once during non-happy hour and once for happy hour. Note happy hour is only at the bar (and lounge?), not available for sit-down tables in the dining room. Food highlights: they have a legit pizza oven and make their own pasta, so everything tastes really fresh and high-quality. Their homemade focaccia is super airy and a great starter at $5. During happy hour, all of their pizzas are $10 - this is one of the best deals I've found in the valley so far given the portion size and the quality. The service has been impeccable, albeit we came during off times, so not sure if that's the case during more busy hours/days. We had a toddler with us one of the times and he was really understanding if she was fussy and when we mentioned that she was obsessed with balsamic, he was quick to get us some just for her (and replenished it when we ran out). He was so knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and just made the whole experience feel smooth and welcoming. People around us were casually striking up conversations, asking how the food was--it had that rare mix of being relaxed but still feeling like a place people put effort into (everyone was surprisingly well-dressed). Unfortunately we left hungry. The portions were small. Calamari onky had 7 slices in it and the breadding didn't stick to it. The white aauce that came with it was not good but the marinara was food. No lemon comes with it so that sucked. Her steak and my lasagna arrived cold. Not sure why restaurants rely on heated lamps when they dont seem to work, plus at my family's restaurant you had to bring the food at once and not wait for everyone's meal to be ready and bring because the meals done first will cool off. My lasgans was about 2 inches thick and was liquidy and falling about. Hardly any meat and ricotta cheese in it. Flavor was good I'll give them that. My wife's steak looked big but it was a thick as a breakfast steak. Again tasted good. Her veggies were not allot and the potatoes in it was about 1 inch diameter. Service was slow and it semed like just one waitress was working and she had someone else serving food. Maybe someone called in sick? And maybe that is why the food arrived cold. My limoncello drink was good. I would have given this a higher rating but an Italian restaurant that doesnt serve free Italian bread and makes the customer, esp an Italian-American ask for grated cheese is not good as far as I am concerned. My friend recommended this restaurant and I was really excited to try it with her. The restaurant looks beautiful inside. It is definitely a great date night spot or a place for a special occasion. They started us off with some tasty amuse bouches: cheese stuffed peppers, parmesan, and a pickled onion. All of them were delicious, but the onion was my favorite. We ordered the focaccia, which was light and fluffy with a perfectly crispy exterior. It paired very well with the olive oil on the table. For our entrées, we ordered the bucatini and the branzino. Both were outstanding. The bucatini was perfectly al dente and the sauce was buttery, garlicky, and lemony. It was delicious with the perfectly cooked shrimp. The branzino was moist, flaky, and well seasoned, and it paired beautifully with the broccoli and tomatoes. I really enjoyed both dishes. For dessert, we tried the "spaghetti and meatballs." The cheesecake was incredibly fluffy and creamy and it was such a fun and tasty way to end the meal. Service was excellent. So I came here on a recommendation from someone who can be a pretty hash critic so I was a bit surprised that my experience was not better. I was surprised to find a very cute, contemporary restaurant in an unassuming strip mall on a very quiet street. We had reservations on a Sunday and were seated quickly. With about half the restaurant being full. Service was great. We were greeted promptly and water was brought to us immediately. Our server was nice, gave recommendations, but also didn't hover and gave us our space to catch up. Here are my thoughts on the food: Foccacia: (4/5) good but slightly oily Calamari: (5/5) I usually don't order calamari but so glad we did. It was full of flavor and super fresh. Crudo: (3/5) I was not a fan of the sauce that came on it. It was sweet and i didn't think it paired well. Diavola Pizza (4/5): the crust was perfectly cooked and the pizza had a nice kick to it! Pipe Rigate (3/5): pasta was perfect cooked and great texture but the dish was bland and didn't have a ton of flavor Mezzi Rigatoni (3/5): same as the pappardelle, pasta was perfectly cooked but I barely tasted the cheese or even the pepper Pappardelle (4/5): this dish had more flavor than the rest but I still felt that it was bland Tiramisu (3/5): even the tiramisu was bland. Not enough espresso flavor or even sweetness Overall, I'm a bit surprised by the lack of flavor because of the rave reviews I had gotten. Perhaps it was an off night. We just moved into the Southern Highlands area and I'm surprised and a little upset I hadn't heard of Nudo sooner! We've driven past it for a while now and last night after a long day out at the lake we decided to finally try it and I was so so pleasantly surprised! Vegas has no shortage of Italian spots but Nudo brings the culinary expertise of the strip to your local neighborhood restaurant. It feels like the type of restaurants you find downtown (like Esther's or Sparrow and Wolf) professional and upscale- but built for locals. The pricing for what you get is great, the ambiance is beautiful and upscale but still approachable like a neighborhood spot. It really does what a lot of local restaurants fail to do and delivers a high quality and chef driven menu without being overpriced or pretentious. Our server Tony was awesome, and clearly an industry pro- again finding that perfect balance between being welcoming and casual while still providing the best parts of upscale dining- awesome menu spiels, in-depth knowledge of all the dishes, attentive to what mood we were in and making recommendations based on that, great table maintenance etc. I could break down every individual dish we had but honestly it's unnecessary- even the basics like the margherita pizza and the rosemary focaccia stood out because of the quality. Everything was delicious, the pacing felt perfect and the cocktails and wine selection were great. The only thing we were disappointed by was not having room in our stomachs to try more- but our server told us about the Happy Hour and their new brunch which we can't wait to try so they will be seeing us again very shortly! It was around 7 when we arrived and only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. The interior is nice and cozy, but the real reason to come is the food. We ordered calamari which had a lemon sauce and a spicy marina. That was pretty good. We ordered a caesar salad, which for $13 was just ok. Lettuce, dressing and some finely grated breadcrumbs. The drink tasted great and was smooth, however I hate the abundance of all the small ice, just one big piece of ice would be great. I had the Gemelli with the Italian fennel sausage, broccolini and cherry tomatoes. This meal was packed with flavor and was a tad spicy but I would definitely suggest it. It is not heavy and taste very fresh. My husband had the Pipe Rigate added chicken. This is a pasta with vodka sauce that was also delicious and well made packed with flavor and very clean tasting. There is more food in the dish than it appears and you'll get full halfway through. We also tried the tiramisu. It was good but I did not taste a lot of espresso coming through but the custard was nice. Second time at Nudo, but this time we had to try the bar. We showed up right at 4pm when they opened and it was PERFECT. The bar was almost empty and the service was great. Quickly the restaurant started to fill up, but I highly recommend the bar for the different ambiance. We ordered a drink off vibes and the bartender did not disappoint. Our cocktails were refreshing and not too sweet. We ordered the calamari, the diavola pizza, and the shrimp bucatini.
