Such a cute little shop in Chinatown ID.. so cozy and cute inside with their big table to do some work or lounge on the comfortable sitting area!! I ordered the Iced pandan Latte and that was a very strong coffee/oandan.. had to sweeten it up a little bit and then it was perfect!!

Arroz Caldo special was worth the wait! Full of flavor!

Love Hood Famous for their ube and other cheesecakes and finally made it to their storefront in the International District before the Seahawks victory parade. The line was out the door waiting for their arroz caldo special. It was worth the wait. Inside had lots of room and a cozy seating area. We were tempted by the other food and drinks. We ended up ordering their longanisa quiche, mechado pastry, a bag of Ube cookies and a manila fog drink along with the arroz caldo. We left with happy tummies and sustenance to brave the millions of fans cheering on the Seahawks! Will definitely be back to try more stuff!

The iced ube latte was great, very sweet and delicious. The ube tarts were amazing and not too sweet. Even when refrigerated for more than 2 days, they still tasted good. I want to come back for the Ube tarts and to try their other desserts. The workers are very friendly!

When you walk in to Hood Famous, there is an immediate sense of community - friends are gathered laughing, some are studying, others are savoring each bite of cheesecake. People seem glad to be there, and for good reason! The meticulously crafted drinks and treats, featuring classic southeast asian flavorings like pandan and ube, are just chefs kiss. As an absolute fiend for pandan, I loved the strong yet balanced pandan latte. The flavor shined through amazingly in the pandan cheesecake, too. The cafe is in Chinatown, conveniently located near the metro and other cute places to check out as a tourist. When I visited, I had just came from a flight but it wasn't too bad to get to. Overall, huuuge fan of Hood Famous. Definitely looking forward to coming back next time I'm in Seattle!

As someone who hasn't had Filipino foods or desserts much, the baked goods here were pretty good! I got pandoodle cookies, bibingka cornbread muffin, and Biko. It definitely tasted freshly baked. The cafe seems pretty big with tables to work. When I arrived, the self-order kiosk wasn't working which was annoying but I ordered with a staff member which was fine.

I always tell friends visiting Seattle that they should swing by Hood Famous, and while that still holds true, I as a local have stopped coming here. The price of food and drink is expensive for the small portions you get, and you can get the same quality pandan and ube drinks at a dozen other places that serve phin coffee for less. You can also just get the baked goods at Uwajimaya. What I really don't like about coming here are the judgmental stares from patrons and staff if you stay for more than 15-20 mins. Then my gut feeling was confirmed when I noticed the new sign - WiFi is not available on weekends. You're not allowed to even sit at the window booth on weekends because they need it as a waiting area. I get it, it can get crowded on weekends, but most people know to leave asap to make space. I have been there on weekends when it's only me and one other table, but 10 minutes in I already feel unwelcomed. Even if I come in on a quiet weekday and stare at the pillar, I feel like I overstayed my welcome. There really is no reason to be a frequent patron.

Came here as recommended by a Seattleite who is obsessed with their ube latte. Recommendation was definitely on point. I definitely enjoyed the Iced Ube Latte (sweet and not too milky) and also love their ube tarts.  Also this place can be a great area to find a souvenir. They sell totes, pins, cook books, etc.  Don't leave without trying their ube tarts!

Hood Famous Bakeshop offers some of the best Filipino dishes and desserts we have experienced! We especially recommend the ube cheesecake and the chicken arroz caldo (rice porridge). The service was warm and attentive, and the space is cozy, colorful, and thoughtfully decorated. Please note that only paid street parking is available in the area.

Checking off the things saved on my collections list and this place fell somewhere in the middle of my "was it worth the drive" scale. The cafe was adorable, a lot of seating. The workers were nice enough. The Ube cheesecake I ordered was great! A tier under my favorite Ube cheesecake but delicious nonetheless. My only annoyance with this spot was the availability of some of their hot items. I came looking for some of the items I'd seen on other Yelp reviews to sit down and have breakfast but they were no where in sight when I arrived. It must've been specials they had at the time. I do wish that was indicated. I also wish their hot items menu was bigger. I believe there was only one thing available so I grabbed my cheesecake and had breakfast elsewhere.

I came by on a weekday afternoon and the café had a steady amount of people coming in and out. It's a smaller, cute café and has tables and seating close together. I think it's a solid spot to work or study (wifi is available only on weekdays). For parking, I parked at the Uwajimaya parking lot and walked over. Super convenient if you're already in the area. I ordered their Ice Pandan Latte, which is one of their signature drinks. It was my first time trying, and I really liked it! It had a slight nutty and vanilla flavor and wasn't overly sweet. The staff was friendly and chill. The next time I visit, I'd like to try their bakery item or ube cheesecake!

    Ube pandan soft serve
    Katherine G.

This place is beautiful and has a good amount of seating. They have both a store/market type vibe and general cafe. Known for their ube items, I had to give those a try. I got their ube pandan soft serve swirl, and it was packed generously high. Between the two flavors, I think I liked the pandan more - maybe I am just not the biggest ube fan. The texture was pretty good though too, and it was big enough to share with a lot of people. I also tried some of my friend's ube latte which was pretty good as well, but not too much ube flavor. A solid spot!

Que belissima! Completely delighted with menu. What a wonderful stumble upon while visiting International district

Great food. Amazing staff. Nice change of pace for an international district outing I didn't try the Ube Latte, but everyone else did

Ask the Community - Hood Famous

Is this a good space to work?

They have free wifi, so perhaps during the day on weekdays when they are the least busy. However, during the times I've visited, lots of people come in to get drinks and stay to chat, so not the quietest environment.

Is there a working phone #?

    Yes! It's +1 (206) 261-2066.

    Are any food items gluten-free?

I think it's best if you contact them directly

    How is parking here?

street parking--usually able to find some in walking distance!

Do they have a loyalty program here?

Yes. Put your email after your purchase

Will you ship out of state to Arizona?

they ship the cookies and select merchandise from there website

If I'm planning to buy the 4 mini cheesecakes and I plan on trying ube and matcha for sure, what should my other two mini cheesecakes be?

The mango is a classic! I also recommend one of the seasonal flavors (since they switch out pretty often)

    Any plans for vegan options?

not that I know of food wise you may have to ask them directly. They do have Hemp, Almond and Soy milk for alternative milks so you would be able to get a vegan latte at least.

Do they carry the mini Ube tarts at this location?

I don't think so I haven't seen them there yet, and I'm there at least once a week.

We ordered the Shroom Shroom Fried Rice with chicken, Pancit Canton noodles with chicken, Fried Oink Oink Adobo, and a Pandan Old Fashioned. The Fried Oink Oink Adobo was tangy, rich, and satisfying, though I was surprised it didn't come with a side of rice. Our office gets a list of the weekly offerings on Monday, so when I heard that later in the week there would be Salu-Salo Filipino Kitchen, bringing Filipino food, I most definitely made lunch plans. I was coming in from a meeting in Fremont, so didn't go to the pop-up/Salu-Salo Filipino Kitchen as soon as it started service (around 11am). With that said, I nearly missed out on the chicken adobo! I took the last of the chicken adobo an hour and a half after the lunch service started, so was counting my blessings! I ordered the lunch plate, which came with chicken adobo, pancit, rice and pickled veggies. My lunch plate was solid. Chicken adobo was tender and really, really liked how vinegar-y the flavor was, which, any Filipino would tell you that all food tastes better with vinegar! Pancit wasn't bad, but not the best. Some of the noodles were on the dry side, but I did like the cabbage and green onion throughout. Pickled veggies were a nice addition, adding more sour flavor to the overall entree. For someone who hardly ever has Filipino food and desperately misses mom's cooking, I was just happy to have Salu-Salo bring some adobo to the area. I would definitely recommend checking out Salu-Salo if you ever see their stand around. They don't update their social media channels, unfortunately, so is a little difficult to find where their stand will be. And when I asked if they participate in any markets, they do not. But the owners did mention that they visit downtown Seattle often at other office buildings around. Therefore, I have a feeling I'll be seeing them soon and getting my Filipino cuisine on. For example, my favorite dish on the menu is the Laing Express, which is made with coconut milk, taro leaves, topped with a delicious crispy piece of pork belly. With a topping of pork belly, how could anything go wrong? This dish has an amazing earthy flavor, with a bit of a kick to it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. How often to you get to eat purple desserts? Ube cake gets its color from purple yams! Salu-Salo's ube coconut topped ube cheesecake balls are not just adorable, they are addicting. Not overwhelmingly sweet, and perfect for sharing, these are a treat. For those with dietary restrictions, Salu-Salo is a great option because there are plenty choices. As someone who is gluten free, all of the main dishes are fair game. This is often very rare when dining out for me!! Here's to Salu-Salo for exposing Seattleites to what Filipino food is all about. Rosario's cuisine feels like a healthy take on comfort food. Each dish bursting with flavor, yet still accessible to all ages. The idea behind comfort food is all about the thought that goes into the prep. After tasting Salu-Salo's food, I promise you can tell a lot of care goes into the preparation of each dish. I am looking forward to this becoming a Seattle institution, and hope it inspires more Filipino cuisine to start popping up in the PNW.

My wife, daughter, and I ate at Oriental Mart in Pike Place Market and had a wonderful experience…read more We ordered the pork adobo, longanisa, salmon sinigang, and lumpia, and every dish was delicious. The pork adobo was tender and flavorful, the longanisa was perfectly seasoned, and the salmon sinigang had a rich, comforting broth. The lumpia was crispy and fresh. We also appreciated the complimentary soup and rice. The longanisa came with pancit, which complemented the dish perfectly and made the meal even more satisfying. The food tasted authentic and homemade, and the portions were generous. The friendly service and great Filipino food make this a must-visit spot in Pike Place Market. We will definitely be back! To be honest, I don't know why this place is so hyped. If you come expecting life changing Filipino food, then you'll probably be disappointed. But if you just want some solid home style cooking, then this is for you. This place is famous for their salmon sinigang but they always run out super fast (like before 12 on weekends), so if you want some, you better come early. They usually have the sinigang broth with small pieces of salmon that you can get with your food though. I think the best things here are the longanisa and the bangus head. The longanisa is homemade and packed with flavor. I loved how fatty and rich it was and the strong flavors paired with rice and vinegar are so good. The bangus head is also really good. The skin is super crispy and the meat is tender and fresh. I must emphasize that you have to get the head. The body is too lean and the meat was pretty dry. The adobo has good flavor but I also felt that the meat was dry.

But I needed to order and pickup food for a potluck, and FilCuisine is the nearest place to get Filipino food for me. So I gave it another chance. Pancit bihon and lechon kawali were excellent. Now, service is still an issue. There was one server/cashier and I felt really sorry for her. She was doing her best to keep a smile on her face, and I wanted to give her flowers or something. So maybe until they get their staffing fixed you can consider getting takeout instead? I will -- I'm a lazy cook who constantly craves for food from home. I'm rooting for you, FilCuisine -- fighting!

Even though it was little dried and hard on the edges. Could be expected due to the process of oven then fried. But, it seems it was chopped up before fried, hence more crispy edges than fried first and chopped up later. That is my assumption. It came with a large bowl of rice and more than enough for two. And I love the sauce that comes with it. Sour and not too salty. If you like German pork hock, you must try this crispy pork hock. Values for money is 5/5 Located in a plaza with huge parking lot. Service is on par.
