    Chicken Boat

We stopped in for a late lunch after walking the Seattle boardwalk. We ordered 2 boats on their iPad and waited about 15 - 20 minutes for our food to be ready. We ordered one of their original boats and chicken one. They arrived piping hot and they were delicious! I have always wanted to try Georgian food and this hit the spot! I'd recommend the chicken one. We'll be back!

One of my favorite places in downtown Seattle to eat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing view of the Seattle Great Wheel while you chat with loved ones and eat a delicious shared meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is kind and restaurant is clean and bright. The food is so amazing and we always get extra pickles and extra yolk! My boyfriend and I really love this place and always find ourselves thinking about it and returning. Definitely recommend Skalka as it never disappoints!

Wow after having this spot bookmarked for a few years I'm happy to have finally tried it.....one of the comfiest foods that I've had in the city! I had the chicken boat. Hearty, tasty, not overly greasy/salty at all. The bread is amazingly pillow-soft, and the cheese.....phew suuuper smooth and silky! The chicken with the tomato sauce gives it a savory marinara/shakshouka vibe to it. These boats are made to order; I got my boat about 15 min after ordering. Order at front kiosk. The gentleman who handed the order was all smiles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small cozy interior. I visited on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I never tried khachapuri before and I'm really glad I did! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This spot is a quick 10 min walk down from Pike's Place and it's quite spacious with several seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They now do a self serve kiosk with 2 workers. Tbh it was a bit unclear if this was a self serve or they would come to you, but it was definitely more casual dining. - Adjatuli Boat (5/5): such an interesting combination of beans, pickled hot pepper (spoicy and sour!) and the cheese and gooey egg yolk. This was around $20 with tax and was definitely enough to eat between 2 people. Great spot- definitely worth a visit!

Simple flavors that pack a punch! I mean, how can you go wrong with bread, cheese, and egg? I got the beef stroganoff khachapuri which I enjoyed. The balance between the creaminess of the stroganoff and the pickles was good as well. The size is good to split between two people. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store is bright and clean with tables inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You order by tablet and the khachapuri takes a bit of time to be prepared.

Stopped by here last Sunday for brunch with my daughter. Food was amazing. We had the Stroganoff with an extra yolk. It was very good, I don't like mushroom but I ate it up. If you haven't tried this place, you're missing out. Service was good, they were very nice and helpful. I want to note that I think each dish is baked in a batch so expect to wait a little longer than normal but well worth it.

Great place to get Georgian food! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved their service, near big seating area, and of course food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is big, they food itself was fresh, healthy, and delicious. I highly recommend and would come back!

We swung by Skalka on a Christmas morning since this was one of the few places that were open. Overall, the ambience was very casual but clean. We didn't see anyone at the reception so we decided to order at the kiosk and seated ourselves. Later, someone came to greet us and informed that our order would take around 15 mins. We were a huge party so we were surprised that we got our order so early, especially on a Christmas morning. The food came in piping hot. We got khachapuris (both veg and meat versions). The bread of the khachapuri was so fresh and soft. The filling was stuffed and very delicious too. The veg version wasn't that flavorful but the meat versions were really tasty.

First-time trying Georgian bread (~$18) and I loved it! You're supposed to mix the egg yolk and the cheese together first and then peel the bread to eat with the filling inside. Such a delicious and cool concept! Lobiani Boat - 4/5 I thought the banana pepprrs were too overwhelming and they didn't give enough bacon Stroganoff Boat - 5/5 delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes in here are super cute and I love the aesthetic![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's lots of seating too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cost is on the pricier side, but definitely worth it to try. I'd definitely come back

This place was open on the holidays. Pretty good khachapuri, not the best one I've had but still very good. One order of this is quite a lot of food. Enough for two people. There wasn't a very large drink selection so we just started our morning with some hot tea. The staff there were very nice. A moderate amount of seating.

I've been to this place at least once every time I go to Seattle! I really like the beef stroganoff khachapuri, it's basically what I get every time. So we did this time plus some hot teas! Although it's a self service to order and pay,I noticed how friendly the staff was. The restaurant is pretty casual and quiet most of times I've been there.

So found this place on Yelp. Was looking for a breakfast place near our hotel and this place had over 1000 reviews and 4+ stars. Well we arrived at 1130am and the place was EMPTY! Was a little concerned about this and if the place had only 25 reviews we would have gone someplace else. But we trusted Yelp. Ordered 2 different Kahchapuris: Stroganoff and Lobiani and the were both awesome and huge. Well could have ordered one and split it. Luckily they had takeaway boxes. Super filling because of the dough crust. Really recommend eating in as the dough probably isn't as good when it cools down and hardens (assuming it is like pizza dough crust in that respect). Just a great meal. One note, this is a really "low touch" place. I don't think it is a post-Covid thing. I think the staff doesn't speak a lot of English. So you order on a kiosk and the only time I saw anyone was when they delivered our meals. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is large, spacious and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But if you want "personal" service, you won't get it here. You will get awesome food though.

Great place to get great quality Georgian Adjaruli. I am located on the East Side, but our family loves these boats, so I stop by Skalka and pick up four boats every few weeks. The Adjaruli are best to eat right there at Skalka, but they also heat up great in the oven. Great place and highly recommended.

What do you replace the egg and cheese and butter with to make the veggie boat vegan? We don't care if it is gluten-free, that has absolutely nothing to do with it being vegan.

We don't have vegan options. Milk and eggs are in the dough. At this point, we don't make gluten-free or vegan dough.

    What are the delivery details?

You can find us on UberEats, Grubhub and DoorDash!

Looks amazing. Safe for peanut allergy?

We do not have peanuts in our bakery.

    Do you offer dine-in tables?

Yes, we do! No reservations, first-come, first-serve.

Do they require proof of vaccination?

    Yes

Is it possible to eat here with a dairy allergy?

No, because we use dairy to make our dough.

    Do they take weekend reservations?

They did not have reservations available when I went. It's a small restaurant and gets packed quickly, your best bet is to get there 10-15 mins before opening if you can.

What happened to the closed cheese pizzas? Not seeing them on the menu for takeout.

They updated their menu (received tecent email) to focus on the egg boats. Dumplings are available via pop ups. I think they halted the Imerulis you mentioned. You can call or email directly to be sure. (5/9/21)

Are there any vegan options? What is in the dough?

Dough has milk and eggs. We have vegan fillings, but we make all boats with same dough as of April 2021.

Looks delicious! Any gluten free options? Thanks!

Possibly soup or stuffed eggplant, but it's pretty bread-centric.

    Is there any lunch specials?

Yes! We have beef soup + house bread ($8.5), Georgian salad + 2pc badrijani + house bread ($11), and 4pc beef khinkali ($9). Available on weekdays 12pm-2pm.

The arboretum-inspired interior creates a warm, inviting space that's perfect whether you're meeting friends, getting some work done, or simply taking a break from the day. While I ultimately decided that I'm still a fan of the classic mocha, I'm glad I tried it--it made for a unique coffee experience. Another nice surprise is that Hagen also has a full bar, so it's a great place to return later in the day if you're in the mood for a cocktail instead of coffee. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, making the experience even more enjoyable. Between the excellent coffee, creative drink offerings, beautiful interior, and relaxed atmosphere, Hagen Café is a place I'd happily recommend to anyone looking for a unique café experience in Seattle. Thankfully they are open today on the Fourth of July (they will just close a little earlier for the holiday), and I was happy to see that not much has changed since my last visit. Without even realizing it, I ended up ordering the exact same drink I got the first time: a Matcha Float with mochi. I guess you really can't go wrong with it because it's still just as creamy and satisfying as I remembered. The only tiny downside is that it only comes with three small mochi balls, so for almost $9 I wish there were a few more. However, the quality of the matcha is consistently excellent, sooo I don't regret coming back. They have wonderful customer service too! The employee helping me at the register was incredibly patient while I stood there trying to decide what to order. As an awkward introvert, I always feel a little flustered when ordering, but she never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. She asked my sweetness preference for the Matcha Float, whether I wanted to dine in or take everything to go, and even carefully packed up my yuzu green tea packet with the rest of my order. She was very kind and thoughtful so just wanna say I really appreciate how welcoming she was. Even from my last Seattle visit two years ago, I still remember the employees being helpful and friendly here. I also have to recommend their desserts from my previous visit. (I skipped the sweets this time due to my budget but I still suggest picking up some of their sweets!). The Matcha Basque Cheesecake and the Matcha Tiramisu were both absolutely delicious, and I still remember how amazing they tasted even two years later. The tiramisu is only around $7 and is definitely worth trying if you're a matcha lover. This visit, I picked up their yuzu green tea packet to take home (last time, I got the hojicha). Each packet contains 15 individual tea bags and costs about $10 (not bad for how much tea is in each tea bag). They also sell matcha powder and other tea goodies. I'm looking forward to brewing the yuzu green tea at home since a good cup of hot tea is always comforting, especially when I'm sick (I've been recovering from a cold so tea has been a lifesaver to warm me up!). I actually stopped by for lunch since I didn't eat breakfast, and ordered the Sukiyaki Don (it was much more satisfying than I expected). I was craving a beef bowl and Nana's was one of the few places in the area within walking distance from my work, that was actually open for the holiday today, lucky me! It came with miso soup and a soft-boiled egg, and I was pleasantly surprised to find tofu and mushrooms in the bowl alongside the beef. It left me FULL, my tummy happy, heck yeah. Costs almost $20 but worth satisfying a craving. I won't lie.. I somehow managed to spend about $40 today between my meal, drink, and tea to take home. More than I intended to spend but no regrets, because everything was delicious and the quality has remained consistently high over the years. The only thing that made my visit a little uncomfortable wasn't the café itself. There were quite a few homeless individuals lingering around the front of the building, so I decided against dining out front like I had originally planned since I wanted to enjoy the nice weather, but one of them was panhandling me so I promptly left (thankfully I asked for my order to be packaged for takeout). That's obviously outside of the café's control, and it didn't affect the food or service at all. They still had many seats available inside but probably because it's the holiday. If I recall, the place was packed during the afternoon when I last visited on a weekday. I will still say that Nana's Green Tea continues to be one of my favorite matcha spots whenever I'm in Seattle. Between the consistently high-quality matcha, delicious meals and desserts, excellent selection of teas to bring home, and genuinely exemplary customer service, it's a place I'll happily keep returning to whenever I'm back in town and have the time to visit.

Both parts of ube were nutty, sweet, and paired with the ca phe amazingly. Strong Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk always hits but the ube mixture is a cherry on top. Up there with the other ube coffees around. Strawberry Matcha - honestly a simple no frills strawberry matcha. Smoothly whisked matcha, lightly sweetened strawberry puree, and a cup to be mixed in. Maybe more jam than other spots, which can help sweeten the drink and add some texture (chewiness), so might have to say above average.

It was a fairly…read morequiet lunch rush after 11 am, and there were a couple of people working from their laptops. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the selection of pastries, hot brunch items, and coffee drinks. The coffee tasting menu looked enticing. If I had more time to leisurely work or talk with company here, I would have opted to go this more adventurous route. However, I did end up trying one of their seasonal menu items - the Sakura Blossom Cloud Latte. I customized this drink with oat milk, even though the foam has to stay as dairy. The oat milk added a nutty creaminess that I particularly enjoyed. There were notes of the sweet Sakura syrup with a slight saltiness from the cream foam that gives the drink its perfect balance. It was a refreshing drink for a pick-me-up and they only had it for a limited time! My only thing is that I felt some coffee beans at the bottom that may not have been grinded as finely but other than that, the drink was amazing and I would recommend as a good backdrop for a spring walk!

They offer plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (note that pets are not allowed indoors). They have a great selection of hot brunch items, plus pastries and cakes. The whole place is modern and bright. The coffee tasting menu is unique, offering latte and espresso flights, and pour-overs. We tried the latte flight, which comes with four adventurous, creative flavors--including a miso latte! Overall, they were a bit on the sweet side for my taste, but very fun to try. The pour-over, however, was phenomenal: deep, rich, and full of berry notes. For food, we had: * Almond Croissant: Perfectly crispy on the outside. I loved that the filling was distributed all the way to the edges, so you get some in every single bite. * Chicken Avocado Salad: A wonderfully light meal featuring grilled chicken breast and a light dressing.
