As a server, I understand sometimes you have a rough table every once and a while. However, there was just no reason that this many things should have gone wrong. - The bartender and the servers had no idea how to make a martini. Instead they sent out some concoction with coke and a lime slice. - I sent that drink back and ordered a gin and tonic instead. They had no tonic, so they sent out a martini-esque concoction with lemon juice in it. Sent that back, too, and settled for liquor on the rocks. - The appetizers came out AFTER the entrees. - BOTH of our entrees were incorrect and had to be remade. - It took almost 20 minutes for us to pay our check, because our waitress was sitting in a booth talking to her friend instead of taking care of us. We were one of 3 tables seated in the entire restaurant, and service took far too long for that level of business. Based on our experience, I don't think either of us will be going back. read more

Went back to this location for a third and final attempt. Service the first time was OK. Second was horrible. Third was great. Service was how you would expect. We were seated immediately and our server took our drink orders immediately. We had the combo appetizer of fried pickles, mozzarella sticks and onion rings. Everything was good and came out in a timely fashion. For dinner we had original wings which were awesome. Very happy to see this location improve on their service. It's true, you really go here for the wings. I was so happy when they opened one here. It's so close to where I love that this is my new go-to late night option. They never seem overly busy, but I never go on the weekends so maybe it picks up then. I love their breaded bone in wings. The hot sauce is not super spicy, but has good flavor. Wings are juicy, and pretty sizeable. Their nachos and fried pickles are tasty too. Prices are what you expect for a chain restaurant. Not cheap, but not expensive either. They have a great deal on wings for happy hour...20 for the price of 10. They have a decent beer selection, though I wish they rotated it a little more. I wish they had late night happy hour, or had more midweek drink specials. The only downside is the service. My boyfriend and I usually sit at the bar, and at best get passable service. Maybe because I'm a girl the bartenders don't bother talking to us beyond the necessities? We're there maybe once a week and the bartenders never seem to have any personality. read more

Well, I gave 2 stars only because I will give this place another try when I find out the bartender isn't working when I go again. (Maria). If she is there I will simply walk out. First off, I went with a buddy of mine. We sat at the bar and ordered a few drinks. Then realized the bartender, Maria, were playing with her phone by the register for a good 5-10 mins. She would then walk past us while our glasses were empty just go to leave the bar and go someplace in the back for another 5-10 mins. She'd come back to only sit at the host booth for another 5-15 mins. This was almost like a schedule. My friend and I were there for over 3 hrs and only 3 drinks a piece. The rest of the staff didn't seem too friendly. It's a shame cause the place is very nice and looks clean. I paid the bill in cash with the tip included. Maria walked by, grabbed it and didnt even look or say a word. Usually when you pay with cash don't the servers/bartenders ask if you need change? HORRIBLE AND MISERABLE WOMAN. Resturant appearance is definitely a step up from my local Hooters bar and their menu has a lot more options than my local Hooters. Actually, decided to change back to 1 star because thats how bad the service was. EDIT: Forgot to say, Hooters must water down their drinks because I can get the same type of drinks that I got from here, anyplace else and I would have atleast felt a buzz. Oh wow... Is it Halloween?... Because the service tonight was horrifying! So, my UFC buddies and I decided to try Hooters out because we knew there would be at least a 2 hour wait at any Buffalo Wild Wings for UFC 229. We called Hooters in Somerset on Cottontail lane and the hostess told us they were showing the fight and that they have tables available. *Fist pump* Score!... Not so fast. We get there and 9pm and were promptly seated at the table. this is where it goes down hill. By 9:30pm, no has even come by our table. By 10pm, we are starting to get hangry. We stopped the hostess (think her name was Theresa) and she apologized that they are very busy and understaffed (Hooters, don't make a big stink and advertise on social media about UFC 229 if you can't properly staff the event) but will send someone over. 10:30pm had passed and nothing. We finally flagged a waitress, Sabrina, to take our order. By 11:30pm, we are seeing other tables that came in after us get there food and we are starting to wonder what the hell is going on. We see the manager, Jose, and stopped him to complain about our wait. He said he would check on our order. He comes back and informs that the order was put in the system but was NOT sent to the kitchen by our server. At this point, I've completely lost all civility and start pointing out everyone that came in an hour after us with food on their tables. He apologizes and tells us he'll put the order in ASAP. Our food barely makes it to our table by the main event. By then we are beasting like ravenous animals. They brought out the check and closed the tab at the worst time possible (during an intense exchange between Connor and Khabib). The server never even apologizes for not sending the order and maintains that everything was ok when we questioned her. The manager did do some damage control and come out to apologize and comp 20% of our bill. I think it was too little too late. We WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER go back for another UFC fight. A 2 hour wait at Buffalo Wild Wings would seem like a privilege after tonight. What could have been a very exciting fight goes down as a complete bust thanks (but no thinks) to Hooters. P.S. Wow, I was promised good service and great wings but all I received was constant incorrect orders and a missing waitress for an hour. Our waitress and the manager came out after 50 minutes of waiting and brought the wrong orders, missing sauces, didn't ask to refill the beers or waters, and went missing constantly without once coming to check up on us. Wings were flavorful but very small and had very little meat on them. Also within the 50 minutes of being there we watched the same waitress spill 2 drinks on people. Very unprofessional, will not go back. Hopefully the one in Wayne is better. read more

If you are going into Hooters for more than wings, football and scenery then you are expecting way too much out of it. I've been across many Hooters around the country and this one impressed me. I do admit, I was a bit concerned when a buddy and myself came here one of the first two weeks it opened and it took 30 minutes just for a waitress to take our drink order on a slow Wednesday night. But that changed very quickly and we didn't want to judge it by our first visit. I've been back on many occasions, for football and also for a random night on a weekday with friends and hockey teammates. I've never had an issue since that first night. If you are basing it off of one experience, please give it another chance. Plenty of TVs around, they will seat you near a game if you ask for it and they will also change a TV to put a game you may want to see near you (depending on the crowd of course). Did I mention this is one of the very few Hooters that has a full fledged bar? Thankfully, the restaurant area is not overly crowded on a big event day either. I guess it helps that they have more space than most other Hooters. I'll definitely be back there many more times in the very near future! read more

DISAPPOINTING! Hoping to make this a memorable night for my adult special Needs son and his BFF on his birthday. This is probably the worst service I have ever had in my entire life. After 10 minutes for our drinks orders. Another 5 minutes went by to receive the wrong drink orders, we waited a while to flag her down. I went to ask her if she got the wrong beers and she interrupted me saying "chill out". I was incredibly shock because I was being considerate and polite. She then proceeded to avoid our table for another 20 minutes asking if we wanted to order food. The restaurant was not full at all. She took our orders and then we waited another 15 minutes and brought out the wrong appetizer. It was getting ridiculous at this point. The rudeness of the waitress and manager was off the charts. Anyone that suggests that the food here is good is either delusional or have shaved their taste buds off their tongue. I, along with some friends, frequent this spot often for trivia on Wednesdays. Trivia is the only redeeming quality about this place and the prize money for free beers and wings is the only thing that keeps us coming back. The service is sub-par at best. There are definitely some friendly waitresses, but I've seen tectonic plates that shift faster than these women move to serve you. We do however appreciate the complimentary entertainment in the the form of waitresses screaming at each other outside in the back of the restaurant as we are coming and going. We find it quite funny. Food... The only way I can justify buying boneless wings (my preferred) here is the special Wednesday pricing. The meat tastes like D grade chicken that fell off of a container ship heading for Somalia on an emergency relief effort. I'll get pieces that are full of gristle or just pure fat with little meat at all. And don't even get me started on the dressings. You should all be ashamed for serving ranch and blue cheese that you, presumably, cut with water to save money. Absolutely disgusting. As for the rest of the menu, there is a smattering of appetizers, ie: onion rings, fried pickles, mozzarella sticks etc., that not even Hooters can mess up, but for the most part the food is just straight up not good. Everything just tastes artificial. The running joke in our group is that the real trivia is determining our food's contents. Suggestion: You have to spend money to make money. - Up the quality of your food and overhaul your recipes. - Buy decent chicken. - Use real cheeses on nachos and for beer pretzels; not cheeze whiz or whatever vile, lower intestine hating garbage you currently use. - Don't skimp on dipping sauces. These are just basics for a wings place in my opinion. We probably won't be coming here any more until we see drastic changes, which is a shame because it really is conveniently located. Service was REALLY bad. My server was a blonde by the name of Kaylin. She didn't smile or greet our party at all, which is odd for a restaurant like Hooters. She seemed to be really rushing our ordering process as if she had somewhere better to be, even though the restaurant was practically empty. I saw her hanging out with other customers and her fellow servers at multiple points when my table needed a new tub of ketchup, extra sauces, paper towel, etc. If they actually did their prep work and stocked the table caddies, I wouldn't have needed her. Not to mention the table was filthy. The food was mediocre. Fries were a bit chilly and one of my friend's dishes was almost completely col. Seems like they have a hard time timing the orders out, or Kaylin was just too distracted to bring them to us on time. Once we finally saw her again after her multiple disappearing acts, she asked for the bill. It was another 30 minutes or so until my friend just got up and gave it to her in hand because she was so busy talking to her friends and playing on her phone. She's a TERRIBLE waitress and I'm shocked that the management is so bad that they allow their employees to behave in that manner without consequences. I don't understand the low reviews. This is a really nice restaurant connected to the Clarion Hotel in a good location. The wings are awesome! Definitely try the Dakota Wings! I sat at the bar and had Crystal as a server who was super friendly, professional and interesting. She had great beer recommendations and we had a great time chatting. Huge fan of Hooters. I love, love, love the wings. I think Buffalo Wings are definitely my favorite junk food, no doubt about it and I'm a big fan of breaded wings. I actually think Hooters has the best breaded wings. Whenever I get Hooters, I also have no problem shelling out the extra dough to get all drums. For any wing fans out there, you know what I'm talking about. One minor knock against Hooters is that their blue cheese isn't very good. It's incredibly runny and watery vs thick and chunky. Clearly, I prefer thick and chunky blue cheese. About a year ago, I noticed a billboard on 287 showing that a Hooters was open. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get over here until last weekend. This Hooters is attached to the Clarion Inn which is definitely kind of an odd set-up although there are many Hooters attached to hotels, at least in NJ. It's right off exit 12 on 287. It's not the biggest Hooters and I couldn't believe how empty it was while we were there and it was about 5pm on a Saturday night. I hope that isn't the norm. Besides the wings, I'm not really a big fan of the food at Hooters. We got the pretzels with the cheese dipping sauce and they were just OK. The wings were on point, though. Large, spicy and meaty. Absolutely zero complaints from me there. There is no doubt this place will become my go to when I need my wing fix. I will also say that they had a pretty good draft list and some very solid NJ crafts, like Kane and Brotherton. The only issue was that the Kane was a little on the flat side which is disappointing because it's an absolutely excellent beer. I came to this location while visiting from Virginia. We were seated very quickly, which I thought was great for the busy crowd. It happened to be Tuesday's Bike night. We placed our order and it came out wrong. The sides are horrible, they focus more on the wings and main dishes. The waitress' were by far the worst. I guess because we weren't men we were not entitled to the same service as the other patrons. Our waitress spent more time chatting and flirting with the guys across from us that we were ignored throughout service. After we finished our meals, we waited for 18 minutes before someone came to ask if we wanted anything else. Then another five minute wait for the check, 10 minutes to come back for payment.
