He found the car we were interested in and we took it for a test drive. It seemed to be perfect and decided to get it. Unfortunately, it took 3+ hours just to get through the paperwork. We negotiated the price, shook hands and signed on the X. Once he came back with the paperwork, he also came back with a mechanical disclosure. He proceeded to tell us all the problems with the car. The sway bars and bushings needed to be replaced. The water pump may have issues since thier mechanics noticed water spots around the water pump. What? We are spending over 16k for a car and NOW they disclose the problems? The salesman told us they just started doing things differently now. Well..that doesn't seem fair. We agreed on a price. I signed papers. We couldn't back out now. Rush hour was hitting and I wanted to get home ASAP. We ended up getting the car anyway and drove home. The car drove home fine. However, we have yet to fix the problems. Very disappointed with that process.

Overall he' is unorthodox car salesman, but asking people to put 500 down, not knowing anything about financing is a weird business practice. If it was partially or fully refundable I would have done it. But Ahmed , as most capitalists are self-serving. Bring cash or else.

I cancelled the inspection and decided not to buy the car in large part due to the car not being available for the inspection which was scheduled a week prior. I called to find out why the car was not there. They told me the car was having some work completed on it. Seriously? Ok, so that in itself was a deal breaker. But, the car having a rebuilt title suffered some damage. I asked for a copy of the report that shows the work on a left rear wheel which was significantly damaged in a accident. I was told they did not have the report or receipt of work having been done. I was told that they are trustworthy and they would not sell cars if they did not have the cars repaired to specs. What? I should just take your word for it? Keep in mind that they are an auto seller on 82nd ave which is known for shady business for cars. Pretty weak. That in itself was also not a deal breaker...but all thing combined, I said I am out. Pre inspection cost was higher specifically because of auto sellers on 82nd ave. Buy at your own risk. I did my research on cars, saw the damage, was willing to risk the damage IF the car was repaired properly. No proof, no purchase.

Their price is very competitive, they don't add any extra dealer fees, and they're willing to work with you on things matter most to you... whether that be price or services. As mentioned above, I'm not from Oregon, so I had to make a purchasing decision sight unseen. To help with that decision, I requested a walk-around video with the engine revving and pictures of the underbody to check for any rust. Phill was quick and sent those to me immediately. He then sent over the paperwork through email - I read through it in detail, was satisfied so I signed and sent it back, then we got on the phone and I put a deposit down through my credit card. The whole process was quick and easy - not once did Phill try to sell me anything extra, we just talked about the car, what I needed from them, and how we can get the deal done... that was it. A few more details - they held onto the car for me for an extra 2 weeks in their lot because I had to find time to fly in to pick it up in person - in exchange, they requested I put a higher deposit which counted towards the purchase price, which was fair and not an issue. Phill also graciously offered to return 50% of the deposit in the event I didn't want the car. The day I picked up the car was just as easy. They had the car on the lot ready to go, I inspected and test drove it, it was every bit as good as it looked in the pictures. I paid the remaining amount, we finalized the paperwork, and I happily drove back home! I'm writing this review about 15 days after I picked up the car and 1K miles later. The car drives like new, I've had no issues - I'm very happy with the purchase price, the car itself, and the whole experience. Thanks Phill and the Kova Team!

I came across pdxminivans.com on Craigslist and was impressed by Felix's prices. The clincher were his reviews. As a result, we scheduled an appointment, this past weekend, and in addition to having the two vans we were interested in, sitting out and waiting for us, he had a comparably equipped Honda Odyssey parked next to them, so we could compare. Felix was incredibly helpful and when we were ready to test drive the Sienna that we were interested in, he handed us the key and encouraged us to take it on the freeway and "really feel the engine."--That's right, he stayed behind and let us try it out for ourselves. His prices were already considerably lower than any of his competitors, so it wasn't necessary to try to "haggle" (check KBB, if you haven't, already, and you'll see that he is even lower than their recommended purchase price). When it came to our trade-in, he gave us more than a fair price, and got us out the door for $150 less than what I was pre-approved for. According to my math, before meeting with Felix, I was prepared to write a check for the remaining balance--not come away under budget. Additionally, he was extremely helpful with advice and tips for some body damage that I have on another vehicle (even polishing some of scuff marks out with rubbing compound, when I came back a short-time later to drop off the second key for our trade-in). I have bought more than 10 vehicles in the last 12 years (all but 1 were from dealerships) and I have never worked with anyone as decent and honest as Felix. There are a myriad of examples I could include to note just how friendly and helpful he was; he is truly exceptional to work with!
