The tomato basil grilled cheese sandwich is amazing! You can't go wrong with the sides, either. The fries, tots, and side salads are great. My husband is a big fan of the avocado chicken salad. We happened to stumble on to this restaurant while looking for something to eat. It's a chain but this one in particular is located in a very nice and clean area. Their location is 8 minutes off the highway in a shopping center. Parking is easy and plentiful. Once inside, we were greeted very quickly and friendly by John (who was going to be our server). He was very attentive and gave us some recommendations from the menu when we asked him. He even brought us a specialty menu and a calories menu when we requested calories. He always had a smile and was professional. We then asked for starters, their cheese sticks (which were very good). We also ordered their buffalo boneless chicken wings, chicken club wrap and a Children's chicken tenders. All the food, came out quickly, perfect temperature and tasted great! This establishment is beyond excellent and John truly made our experience amazing. It's hard nowadays to find a restaurant that has great food and amazing service. We stopped in here for lunch after a doctor's appointment. Hubs had fish tacos; I had fish & chips. The food was good but the service was AMAZING! Hop Jack's used to have happy hour that was worth the money. However they have raised the prices across the board by more than a dollar, making the menu not worth it in my opinion. At this price point I'd rather go to a tapas bar or order entrees. The food is slightly better than places like Applebees. Not bad but never great. So with it being as hot as it's been lately, the wife and I have been ordering food more. We thought we had hit all of our usual favorite choices on Door Dash, but then came across this place and were definitely glad we selected it. We got the following items: 1. 4 piece Fish and Chips 2. Tempura Zucchini 3. Big Tony's BBQ Mac. Food came quick and was fairly fresh over all. (you have to grade on a bit of a curve when you're having fresh food brought to you via a 30 minute average delivery, especially when you order anything fried). The tempura zucchini were delicious, lightly breaded, still a bit crunchy and the ranch it came with was a lovely addition. The wife liked the fish and chips, admittedly the fish was a little overly breaded, but that's more a preference thing and not necessarily a ding on the restaurant. The Mac was delicious, however I really couldn't detect any BBQ sauce or bacon (which I swear is what it said it came with). It also was a bit greasy, but honestly, I ate every bite and would definitely get it again. :) There were numerous other choices on there that caught our eye. While we're unlikely to do the sit down dining thing any time soon cause of COVID, I can definitely say that we'll be giving these guys another look next time we order in! read more

Let me start off by saying this, I was searching for awesome burger joints that I haven't been to, found Hops n Drops on this site and decided to try it out. By far the best decision made in a while . The customer service was outstanding. The burgers had great flavor -fresh meat and veggies. The buffalo wings surprised me a lot -they were tender, juicy and not too heavily breaded. The fries, man oh man, the taste was awesome!! Don't know if I saw them on the menu but their fries would taste good with some carne asada steak on them or even nacho cheese would be bombdigity! Spread sauce on the burger reminded me of tartar sauce; it was awesome. Their fry sauce was really good and the lil donuts with chocolate was just icing on the cake. The crew found out we were new and one by one came and introduced themselves and greeted us nicely. I highly recommend you try it out. I will surely be making Hops n Drop's a go to place for my burgers and wings. Can't wait to try the western burger and some of their breakfast entrees. They did make one lil itty bitty mistake with one burger topping but man did they go above and beyond to make up for it. I appreciated that. read more

Service was great. Chicken chipotle ranch flatbread: flatbread was cooked to perfection, yet would have liked it a tad bit thicker, chipotle ranch sauce was too saucy and a bit salty. I think adding some red onion would have given the dish some pop and blended taste. Triple Threat Crispy Chicken Sandwich: the Burger was moist, but a bit bland. Would have liked the chicken patty to have more spices, as indicated. I think adding a slice of red onion and jalapeño slices would have given a good compliment to the sandwich. We thought it might have been and off night or two but the drop off in the quality has been consistent enough for us to notice a what appears to be a permanent change. We wanted to try something new and so we decided to try Hop Jacks' since the reviews were pretty good. After spending our dinner time at the location - I can only think there isn't any choices in Lake Tapps if this is a 4 star restaurant. First - the restaurant was not crowded - and we get seated in this "cubby hole" booth all by itself - against the wall in the back. If there was just the two of us - it could have been romantic but with a teenager along with us - we were crowded. I joked and asked if they were trying to hid us and a few other lines like that which went right over the waitress head - finally my wife just asked if there was another booth available and we were moved. This is the same waitress that filled the two female water glasses up - twice - while leaving mine empty and giving the girls the bill - not putting it in the center. The best part was when I mentioned the water situation as I received the bill - you might think she would apologize and perhaps fill my glass up then - well you would be wrong. Is it just me or all men :) The same waitress when she asked about dessert we said we would like to consider it -came back a few minutes later - asked if we decided - at which point my wife said we had no way of knowing what they had for dessert - and she replied Oh, I guess you need menus - you think. ? I guess the job pool has ran out in Lake Tapps. Our teenager (16 years old) ordered the Mac and cheese 410 bland. She said it was bland and we tasted it and all agreed - no taste to it at all. (really - bland for $10.25) My wife and I split the tomato Basel sandwich and at best I would give it an ok - also not cheap at $9.95. You could not taste the tomato and there was hardly anything on it (for the price it could have been a lot better) The Oriental Chicken salad was good - but $10.75 for a regular. In summary - pricey fast food - better off going to Wendy's for Oriental Chicken salad - just as good. If you want the restaurant effect Applebee's is much better and they have been the "neighborhood eating place" a lot longer - they even took the Applebee's slogan. read more

**One of the best customer service experiences of MY LIFE** The food is pretty predictable - all american bistro fair (large portions, lots of fried foods), not that I'm complaining. But that's not why I'm giving Hop Jack's 5 stars. They get such a high rating because of their amazing wait staff. Our waiter was funny, knowledgable, and caring. For example, I asked if there was nutritional information for some of the menu items and he went and printed off a word document specifically for me! I've never had this type of service before. This shows that a great restaurant experience is not completely dependent on the food that is served. Service plays a large role and Hop Jack's really stepped up. I came to Hop Jack's for a much needed female-family-members-night-away-from-kids-and-men. :) We were on a drinking mission and not an eating one, so we didn't try anything from the food menu but it looked pretty good. If we hadn't *just* finished dinner, we probably would have at least tried an appetizer or two. We sat at the bar (which is really pretty, btw) and Silver took care of us. My sister ordered a black & tan because another bartender here had screwed it up and she wanted to see if someone else could get it right...Silver didn't disappoint! Finally got to try this place! Took the back roads home to avoid traffic and ended up driving by so we decided to stop for dinner. Probably not the best idea considering it was crazy packed due to power outages in the area. David (manager of another store) provides excellent customer service! Despite it being a mad house he was patient with our questions as well as getting us our drinks and taken care of in timely manner. Our server Sarah was sweet too but we didn't see much of her. Fish & Chips- Delicious!! The batter was very flavorful and perfectly crisp. The fish itself had great flavor and texture. I would definitely order this again. Jalepeno Burger w/ Pineapple- BF ordered this and he liked it. I had a bite and thought it was pretty good. Lemonade- Pineapple was soooo good. The blueberry was okay. A little to sweet for my liking but delicious none the less. Long Island Iced Teas are amazing!! BF tried 2 flavors, the grapefruit (eh ok) and mango (bomb.com). He wants to come back to try the other flavors. Lol. I don't blame him. They were pretty tasty. Donuts- Served in a paper bag. They were good but not memorable. Overall I will be back!! While I don't always dole out five stars I thought it was appropriate here because we went two days in a row to Hop Jack's and everything was consistent even though it was different staff and different items ordered. Our first evening we sat in the bar and just had drinks for the evening as we had gone to dinner but the establishment we were eating at was very hot and not relaxing. While Hop Jack's isn't a relaxing environment because it's fairly loud, it was more comfortable. The waiter we had in the bar was absolutely hilarious and earned a good tip. Nikko was funny, cracked appropriate banter with customers including us and ensured we were well taken care of and never went empty on our beverages. Evening number two was just as good and this time we went for happy hour and sat in the restaurant. I was glad to see that you didn't have to sit in the bar to enjoy the discounted food and libations. We ordered a number of things from happy hour and ended up not order an "entree" because we sample a number of things. The battered shrimp were very good, I particularly like how they were prepared. We ordered their garlic fries, which were extra garlicky which was excellent, and its fresh garlic too, not out of a can or just powdered. The potato chip nachos with the blue cheese will be something I order again, they were excellent. I could sit and eat those darn things all day long. The last thing we ordered, which were good but over priced, were the wings. They had good flavor, they were meaty and overall good. But even at happy hour price, they were way more expensive than other wing and non-wing places. Not sure I would order them again. The service, was also very consistent the next night.
