We wanted to try Chix's custard shake and, since we were there at lunchtime decided to order food. My best girl ordered chicken tenders. I ordered the buffalo fried chicken sandwich and we shared a large order of French fries. We ordered chocolate and blueberry pie custard shakes. The chicken tenders were juicy and fried to near perfection whilst the buffalo fried chicken sandwich was lovely although they could back off the buffalo sauce a wee bit. The staff were super friendly and professional. This location was very clean and bright with 70's rock music playing in the background. Boy oh boy! I got the Bacavo Ranch (bacon avocado) chicken sandwich and let me tell you what! Such a delight. Even the restrooms were superb. Did I mention the sauce bar?! They have a plethora of choices all in pump form. Ranch, signature sauce, Nashville hot, and so much more. The staff was also incredibly helpful when it came to decision making. This is the second Sunday in a row I've had lunch here, both visits I've been happy. Service is very friendly. Food is made to order. Fries are very good. Chicken sandwiches are cooked great, lots of sauce options. Unfortunately it's Pepsi products on the fountain machine but they totally redeemed themselves by having a Diet Mt Dew as a second diet soda choice! I'm disappointed at so many reviews that bash the price. Sure it isn't inexpensive but it's a different day and age. The parking lot is big, the exterior of the building is clean, it's in a safe and accessible location--- they aren't cooking out of a trailer in a gas station parking lot and charging dang near the same $. It's a business that has employees to pay, that demanded a higher minimum wage so ya the food is going to cost more. I don't see bad reviews of Starbucks because they charge $7 for a coffee. I saw another review attacking the "ice cream" here, which is actually frozen custard, so I decided to write a review. We've been here several times, and it is so good. The chicken is juicy and tasty, think a cut above Chick Fil A which I also love. The portions of custard are very generous in my opinion and every flavor I've tried has been yummy. They have a full dipping sauce bar for you to go absolutely wild on and you can't leave without ordering some custard for the road. I personally love the Reese's or the mint chip. Service is typically friendly but I have had the occasional person who is irritated with the existence of humans. The restaurant cleanliness is hit or miss. If we could do 1/2 I would rate it a 3.5. First ever visit to a Super Chix. They have been open a few months I think. They are chicken, salads & custard. Everything is a la carte. Sandwiches do not include fries. I had the Blackened Cajun sandwich and got Cajun fries. The sandwich had nice flavor but it is a thin filet and gets lost with the size of the bun which isn't huge. The lettuce was fresh and leaf instead of shreds which I prefer. The fries were heavily seasoned to the point I couldn't eat all of them. Lots of sauces to choose from. Cashier was friendly and the restaurant was fairly clean but some things needed attention and stocking. We ordered the fried tenders, grilled tenders, blackened grilled chicken sandwich and loaded rosemary fries - the fried tenders were very soggy and could have been left in fryer a little more. Basic tastes nothing that would bring me back. Not even with the sauce bar sauces could help. Grilled tenders were too spicy for some small kids. None of it was eaten by them. I didn't like much either. Fries were ok- some crunchy parts that would chip teeth and some good and normal. We've been back to Super Chix several times now and have had great food every single time! Love their hot, crispy fries, sauce bar, salads, and sandwiches. Love that you can sit outside in nice weather, too. The people who work there are always polite and promptly get the food out- it's always freshly cooked and hot. I loved the one in Puyallup which had their service and food down. So I was kind of disappointed with the federal way location. The order takers were efficient and friendly. The restaurant itself looked clean and new, although the configuration is a bit odd. The food delivery - I couldn't tell what was what, and nothing was labeled or explained to me. You have to sift through the bags on the counter to find your food with no help from the staff standing behind it. They were recently opened so one of the very young people was loudly explaining to about 4 or 5 staff about how to do their jobs. I had two bags and had to remove each item and inspect the food to tell which sandwich was which. I also ordered a large and small fries. They were dumped in the bag with the sandwich boxes. I honestly couldn't tell which was which. They looked like the same size unfortunately although it was a generous serving if one of them was a small. The food was a mixed bag - literally. The bacon avocado sandwich was disappointing because the avocado was not fresh and was brown (see pic). I disposed of it and added my own avocado I had at home. The blackened chicken sandwich was very tasty, but it was thin and floppy. I felt a bit ripped off for the $9 chicken strips. As in the pic, it was an odd assortment of misshapen small and one large strip. It was not appetizing and was flavorless, but I suppose that's what the dips are for. The custard was delicious.
