Heard really good things about this place. If you step inside, it's super neat and clean with a big menu. The menu was slightly overwhelming for me and I had to ask for clarification. We ordered three regular sandwiches and a bag of chips. It cost about $33. I did make one change for my daughters sandwich (to remove tomatoes and add pickles). I saw my order correct on the screen but didn't realize they made the sandwich incorrect until we got home. Overall, the bread was soft and the ingredients tasted fresh, but nothing really stood out as super amazing to me. I ordered the turkey bacon avocado, my husband got the prime, and my daughter got the regular blt with no tomato and add pickles. Overall, might go back and try something more complex to see if those have more of a "wow" factor.

Turkey Bacon Avocado on garlic cheese bread - YUM!

Tried this place for the first time today and wow is it delish! I had the Turkey Bacon Avocado, and my husband had the Reuben. He also had a side of mac salad. Both sandwiches had super soft, fresh baked bread. Loved the big slices of avocado (not mashed) on mine. My husband enjoyed his Reuben and only wished it had bit more sauerkraut on it (he will ask for extra next time!) He said the mac salad was great, just sad it was only a few bites in a tiny little cup for $3 - not sure it was worth it - but the flavor was great. Great to have another sandwich option in the area (beyond the typical Subway and Jersey Mikes). The folks running the place were friendly. Very small seating area - but you can order online for easy pickup. We will definitely be back!

Best sub sandwiches ever! As a food reviewer, I eat at so many places, but Big Town Hero is the best! I truly enjoyed both of my sandwiches! I got the clasic club & the Italian Panini! They were both amazing! I even got 2 cookies , those were awesome as well!! The customer service here is world class and the establishment is incredibly clean! I can't wait to come back to Big Town Hero! Follow @eatwithjustinm on TikTok & Instagram

It is a new location for regional Sandwich shop by the Auburn mall. This was my first visit and they had a pretty good menu of sandwiches salads, Panini's sides, and a few breakfast items. The service was mediocre. The young girl taking orders didn't seem like she knew completely. What was on the sandwiches and had issues customizing. There were three people in our party and the only sandwich that needed customization regarding a change in the cheese and removing tomatoes wasn't done at all. It is a small shop with a few tables and a counter against the windows. The sandwiches themselves were good and the bread was unique compared to any other chain sandwich shop. It was light and squishy/fluffy. Not a heavy or crusty bread. According to one of their slogans, they don't work from frozen dough. They were out of wheat bread at 1 o'clock on a Saturday so I don't know if this was due to how they make their bread or it could've been. It was before the Christmas holiday and they were going to be closed and we're getting rid of what they had on hand. They are available on food delivery apps as well.

Food was good but the bread was too soft. Bread needed to be toasted and a little pricy. Service was good but slow.

We understand that the restaurant was busy, so we patiently waited for a table. However, after being seated and placing our order, we waited another 20-30 minutes for our food to arrive. While the food was good, the service was extremely slow. The most frustrating part happened when we ordered an extra pancake for our child. Our server told us to pay for it when we were leaving, which sounded fine. After waiting another 20-30 minutes, we went to the cashier only to be told that we should have ordered it at the front counter. If that had been explained to us earlier, we could have done so right away and avoided wasting more time. The food was enjoyable, but the poor communication and slow service left us disappointed. Sadly, this is the second time we've had the same experience.

I can say that they have some of the freshest ingredients to build a salad and the options are numerous in your choices to build a salad. I decided to add tuna to my salad. I thought this would be a great touch to such a fresh salad. The Caesar dressing was good and went well with the salad. The most disturbing part of this salad was the tuna. As it turns out, the tuna is canned with a strong fishy smell and flavor. I had assumed that the tuna with be cubed or sliced. This is a great place for vegans and vegetarians as well. Now, the fishy taste of the tuna was so string that I immediately brushed my teeth to get the taste out of my mouth. Please keep in mind that these salads start at $12-15 dollars plus the add-ons you like. Since I love salads, I had many extras and the salad was $26. My only regret was that I could not give back the tuna. I will try this place again, but for god sake change the tuna or skip it all together.

When I called in, the lady that took the call struggled to take down my order. She was not familiar with the menu at all. I patiently repeated my order several times but she responded by naming different dishes. I was not confident that she would place my order correctly, so I asked to speak to another staff. Once I arrived, the same lady asked me if I was dining in and I told her multiple times that I had ordered take out. Then I found out that the order was never placed so the kitchen never made our food. There were no other customers there so I don't know how they didn't put in my order since I had placed it 10 minutes prior. To make matters worse, once we got home, we found out that they gave us an incorrect order. Instead of crispy garlic chicken and rice, we received a shrimp pad kee mow. This was extremely disappointing because my boyfriend does not eat seafood and doesn't like noodles in general. We went out of our way to come to this restaurant and chose Sweet Rice over other options that are closer to us. Considering the poor service, we will not be coming back or recommend it to others hence the 1 star review. I generally don't rate restaurants based on the service but the service was so bad that I lost my appetite for their food.
