This place has been inconsistent first time I went it was great last weekend we went and made me not want to ever go back. Our Company, Aaversal Global Relocation had a lunch meeting at Hops on Tuesday February 1st around noon. Our server who sat us and took our orders for lunch is 'AMAZING'! She always recognizes us when we come to eat, meet as a group, or just relax in the atmosphere after a hard day at the office. The food is always hot and delicious when served. To start off... WOW!!!! Everything was sooo good, from food to drinks to customer service. Ill start with the customer service. Its the best I have received in a while. Since we arrived and got seated, every employee was really friendly. Our waitress Bradley was really efficient. He was on it with the drinks and food. Always with a smile and jokes too. Our food, OMG!!! We ordered to start the wings. They had a perfect kick to them and the taste was amazing. Then we ordered Mac n Cheese for the little one, it was good. The best part of the dinner was the jalapeño cream cheese burger. It comes on a Texas toast, it has french onions, cream cheese with bacon bites and to top it off... a huge fried jalapeño on top. Then I went ahead and ordered it with a side of tater tots. To finish off the drinks, I had a strawberry drop. Its like a lemon drop but strawberry flavor and its served on an icy cup. That will for sure keep your drink cold for a while. They had really good flavor and it seems that many fo the drinks they have, they use real fruit. To finalize it has a good atmosphere for date night, good place for kids and fast service even though the place was packed. Ill sure be back for more and sooner than later. I've been to several Hop Jacks locations and I really do enjoy this restaurant! I think of Hop Jacks as a new and improved Red Robin. They have a big focus on the burger menu, but they also have a wide spread of options and offer some unique and seasonal dishes as well. Also like Red Robin- Hop Jacks has fun alcoholic beverages- but theirs are better than any 'chain' restaurants I've been to. Again, if you're going to drink- come here! They have such fun and amazing drink options for any occasion. They have a large tap list, good wine selection, and wonderful cocktails. I like to try a new 'drop' from their menu each time I visit. The drops come in a really cool ice glass! They have everything from traditional lemon drops to blueberry drops. During football season, Hop Jacks offers some fun Seahawks drinks as well! The food aspect of this place is always pretty good. I like the food, especially the Avocado Salad and Philly Sandwich. The only thing is that some of the food can be a little overpriced for what it is. Other than that, I've eaten here over a dozen times and have never had a problem. Wasn't sure if I wanted to go here, cause I was afraid of hops bein in everythin (since I am allergic). However, we decided to take a chance! Boy am I glad we did! The food was outstandin, great price and great portions! The food tasted fresh and they had gluten free/low carb options! Our waiter, Ivory, was exceptional! His smile was contagious and welcoming, and his service was grand! If we lived in Auburn we would make this a frequent date night spot, and we would ask for Ivory to be our waiter! I absolutely love the new mixed drinks they make. They bring it in a iced shape cone with a separate mixed drink bottle to pour as you please. I have not seen this anywhere else. Definitely give it a try. They make good Moscow mules. Menu is ridiculously big, there is plenty to choose from. Really good French onion soup and the clam chowder. Fish n Chips is the prime of prime. Also serve breakfast, I think on the weekends only though. It's the same type of Hops n Drops you'd find anywhere else's you been to one. I decided to try this place for the first time I ordered a typical hamburger with fries to go luckily I stay really close by when I went home I had a completely opposite order it was a salad Wrap and tater tot's . At first I was going to just keep the order so I didn't have to go back but the tater tots were hard and it tasted like all the oil it didn't even taste like tater tots it was so gross and the wrap was dry around the corners it was disgusting I couldn't eat it so I had no choice but to go back they gave me the right order the burger was OK except it was really pink in the middle but honestly I've kind of made the burger better myself as well as the fries so I'm kind of disappointed that I decided to go there . read more

I've been here once before tonight and sat in the bar, got the fish taco's and they were pretty good! HUGE portions, I couldn't finish all of them. Tonight though, on a beautiful summer night where we got to sit outside and enjoy our food, it was perfect. I got the Morning Burger, which had a fried egg and bacon. Talk about yum! I normally am not a burger person, but this hit the spot. As soon as I saw this on their (very large) menu, I knew this was the choice for the night. My boyfriend got the Mushroom Burger, which he finished in seconds and my son got the kids meal cheeseburger, which he also...finished in seconds. Their (bottomless) Strawberry Lemonade was to die for, even better than Red Robin's. Their fries are excellent as well. The only downfall was their tots. Not seasoned enough and tasted just like the oil they were fried in. Yuck. One awesome thing I am going to try out next time is they offer you the option to get a turkey burger as a substitute. Their burger patties you can tell are not frozen and they melt as soon as they hit your mouth. The service was great, we didn't wait long even though they were busy, got great seating outside and didn't wait long for our drinks OR our food. This was an extra special visit to Hops n Drops. The power was out all around the area and people were flowing into the restaurant to keep warm and have a hot meal. There wasn't much room in the bar or restaurant and the service was slower than normal but we know how the service is on a regular day so for that reason, I need to give these guys five stars cause they worked so hard to help take care of all of us under the circumstances. If I never came here I would have never known how good this place is!!! First of all, get their lemonade. They have 8 different flavored and it is bottomless, so if you are really thirsty you can try all 8 :) and it comes in a huge tall glass. Next, the service is good, our service was so friendly and helpful and nice! We got the guacamole burger, chipotle chicken flatbread, the jalapeño burger, and the nachos. Whenever I feel like Jacking hops or hopping Jack, I head up to my friendly neighborhood Hop Jack's. I was excited to try this place and for good reason-- it's great! They have a good selection of beers, including rotating taps. The happy hour specials are decent as well. I think it was $4.25 for a pint of craft beer during the 2-6pm happy hour. They also have THE DEATH. IRISH DEATH. That beer just puts you on your ass and any place that has it is good in my book. The food is pretty good too. The menu is kinda strange... It's like burgers, mac & cheese, and a couple of soups and salads. It isn't very extensive. They have a steak and a couple of sandwiches but all in all it's good. The donuts are damn good though. You gotta get some at least once if you eat here. I love having this place up the hill from me! It's the best! read more

I've never heard of Hop Jack's but attended a going-away event for my boss here and was pleasantly surprised. The Lakeland location is fairly new and probably has only been open less than a year. The service is top-notch (at least the server we had). They had a good selection of beer on tap and I enjoyed my pineapple mojito. Food was good, nothing that will knock your socks off but standard bar fare. The breakfast menu looked appealing so I will have to stop by again to give breakfast a try. read more

First restaurant attended during quarantine. The safety standards they advertise are not being followed. Not using disposable utensils. Not using disposable ketchup. It appeared that the restaurant was fuller than 25% capacity. No hand sanitizer at the door. Went to Hop jacks and read the reviews before hand. I went for lunch. I had the regular cheeseburger, tots and my friend had a turkey sandwich. The burger was nice size, good grill, good taste, fresh veg, good cheese melt, tots were a little like they had been sitting for a bit but they were still good and hot. My friends turkey bacon sandwich had about an arm of turkey on it. It was huge. Bacon all coming out the sides. Looked really good as well. She said it was good. I would go back here. You can always count on good service at Hops and Drops. I've been here many times and they never disappoint. The food is very good and the vegetarian options are pretty good as well. The tomato basil grilled cheese sandwich is amazing! You can't go wrong with the sides, either. The fries, tots, and side salads are great. My husband is a big fan of the avocado chicken salad. The flatbread is also really good. Here's a tip: They serve their beer very cold, so if you're ordering a darker beer that you want at a warmer temp, order it in a non-frosted glass.
