Helpful staff that arrived quickly and got the job done. The staff member ensured to call me to alert me that he was nearing the location, then worked to achieve the goal of freeing my keys. The staff member also listened to me when I shared details about the situation. The staff member also did NOT threaten, harm, or attempt to mate with me, which I greatly appreciated. I just had a bearing replacement done by Horcher's, the rear bearings. They did the job very well, however, reviewing the on-average price on-line, I was charged significantly higher (both labor and parts) than the industry average. Their service is excellent, however, I am going to caution the prices as they seem significantly higher than average. I would've gotten more done to my car had they cut me a break. Now, I will ask around for better prices. read more

After waiting an hour and 1/2 for another towing service only for them to cancel citing not having the correct equipment although they told us they were on their way I went with what I should have in the first place and that is a wheeling company Horchers. They were there in 30 minutes with kind and prompt service. They've been serving wheeling for many many years. Honest good people. Call them before anyone else. read more

Was told by Herb on Monday that they were too busy and I should come In on Wednesday for an estimate. Called ahead on Wednesday and was told by Herb that a lot has happened since Monday, He does not remember me, and that I could bring the car In for an estimate In an hour "If I wanted to." Came In an hour later and Herb was not there, Kind and helpful Lady In the office called him and Herb told her one of the techs could look at the car and Herb would call me later. Herb called me later on that day with a $1500 estimate for Installing a timing belt kit, that Is $1200 for labor on a job that Is billed from 4 to 5 hours, as the Industry standard. After the Indifferent treatment from Herb I was not surprised at all when he wildly overreached on the estimate. Got the feeling that Herb really did not care If I came In or not, and the attempted overcharge just served to cement those feelings. Bought a brand new 11 piece Toyota timing belt kit for less than $300, I will research and do this job myself, thank you. I would strongly suggest that people do their research before accepting these rates. read more

They sent one of the team out right away and did some troubleshooting to get the problem solved, while making plans for a tow if needed. Problem solved in a few minutes and back out on the road. I have been a car enthusiast since I was a kid and have always tried to find that one repair place where they know what they are doing and are really honest. It's a rare find when you actually find one. Horcher's Service is one of those places. They don't just do what you tell them, they work with you to understand what's going on and what really needs to be done. They also specialize on trucks which is a godsend because I have a 4 wheel drive vehicle that needed 4 wheel drive service ('05 Tahoe - 2 U-joints, wheel hub, etc). OMG, I've lived in Chicago for three years and have taken my car to multiple places in the city. Working in Lincolnshire, I decided to find a place where I could leave my car to be serviced during the work day. It's a family-run business and it shows. They really give you the type of service that makes you feel like they care about their customers. They dropped me off at work and picked me up. They found quite a few things wrong with my car and needed to keep it longer than expected. But when I stopped in to get a couple of things out of my car that I needed while it vacationed with them, they showed me what they were working on and explained why the things needed to be done. No one had ever done that for me before and it made me feel very confident that they were doing what needed to be done. Then when it came time to pay the bill, it came out lower than expected. All in all, it was an excellent experience and I'll definitely be going back. read more
