Many of the projects were completed to our delight, some to our satisfaction, and most recently we noticed a slip in quality. Overall we recommend LJ. And would suggest Ro anyone engaging them to walk everything down - grading, elevation, proper footing, dimensions, methods TWICE. Go over everything twice. Make sure you are on the same page and that the final intended put-through end result is CLEAR. What they did: 1) retaining walls - mortared w flagstone (6) 2) retaining wall - dry stack w shale (1) 3) added stairs to existing wall (3) 4) flagstone walkway (4) 5) convert lawn to river rock bed (1) 6) add shale surfacing to compressor slab (2) 7) install compressor slab to protect/land HVAC and split compressors 8) weed, edge, mulch large garden bed (1) 9) install flagstone landings (3) 10) source, deliver and place large boulders (one pallet)

A small team returned the next day to complete part two of the job, demonstrating great commitment. Not only did they leave my backyard looking even neater than when they arrived, but Manuel's team also went above and beyond by weeding and mulching the front yard and side yard (not pictured) with extra mulch at no additional cost -- even though it wasn't part of the original scope. Pricing was extremely fair, and the quality of work was excellent. Manuel truly lives up to the positive reviews I read beforehand, which is why I decided to give him a try. Matter of fact, the crew went above and beyond on the cleanup. From dealing with Karen to the men who came on the property to perform the work. Great service all around. Was it the lowest price? No, but I never tend to buy low bid for something that involves danger to my property, the people working, or my neighbor's property. All the estimates were within 10% of one another, for whatever that is worth. Already talking with American Landscaping for our next project!

We had a stand of bamboo that we wanted removed, and American Landscaping in Silver Spring, MD, did…read morean excellent job. They came the day after we initially called and gave us a low quote. Their crew was efficient, was careful to preserve our perennials, and removed all the bamboo rhizomes leaving a beautiful area of clean raked earth. They cleaned up everything at the end of the day so that anyone walking by would never have known 24 hours earlier there had been a 35 foot high stand of bamboo in our front yard.
