Should of went to Waffle House. Living in Houston for 30 plus years I have experienced the best and worst this city has to offer. Please trust me when I say this is the worst! From the moment you walk in you get the feeling that no one wants to be there. The waitresses seem almost ashamed of the food. Not once were we asked how the food was. Well let me tell you it was gross. I got a bacon and Swiss omelet with home fires and biscuits. The omelet was way over cooked and had absolutely no flavor, half the home fries were underdone some were even a little cold in the middle. The biscuits were obviously microwaved, rubbery and wet on the bottom from being defrosted in the microwave. My wife got scrambled eggs with sausage and bacon. Again no flavor from the eggs. The sausage was black on the outside and luck warm at best in the middle. I just hope that people visiting form out of state or over seas don't judge this great city and its wonderfully diverse cuisine by this poor excuse for a dinner. read more

Had breakfast at a place by the airport called Hot Biscuit. Waitress was very friendly, but food was extremely cold even the coffee was barely warm. I ate the buffet and asked the waitress after I made my plate to put it in the microwave. Last the cashier never spoke never said anything never mentioned how was your breakfast Nada. So glad I didnt read the rvws before coming here. Cant always believe the rvws. I never been here before and I had been driving in the rain to get to my hotel and I was starving and didn't want fast food or hotel food. So I figured they are open 24hrs they gotta have variety. And boy they do. I ordered the steak and shrimp for 15.99 and 2 sides and a piece of toast. The steak was cooked properly and yummy. I got fried okra and mashed potatos with white gravy. The white gravy alone was delish! Would be good for bisquits gravy! The mashed potatos tasted instant but I could be wrong. But they were tasty with the gravy. The hush puppies I thing were over cooked but I am not an expert to hush puppies. The fried shrimp were tasty as well and so was the toast. All food was piping hot! They were a few patrons while inwas there and the staff was great. No complaints here. If you want a lot of food for affordable price I def reccomend. If I am ever in the area again in will def come back. read more

I loved this place. It was a little dodgy at night, but not too bad. 24 hours, and they serve cheap beer and wine until 2am, which is great if, like me, you get caught in a canceled plane situation. Most of them are clean and fast with consistent good food. We avoided the buffet but pretty sure we had bacon from the buffet anyway. Cold, hard, over cooked. Biscuit was good but don't hope for good gravy. It's blah cream gravy. They will upgrade to sausage gravy but what they do is cut up a dry small link sausage into the cream gravy. read more

Great service, good food, and an immaculate restaurant made my breakfast stop a pleasure. After an early morning run to the airport I stopped to eat breakfast and avoid traffic back to my end of town. The wait staff was friendly, coffee was good and constantly topped off, breakfast arrived very quickly and was tasty, and the bill was extremely reasonable. The place looks pretty vintage but was absolutely immaculate including the restrooms. I could not have asked for a better spot to eat and kill some time during rush hour. read more

Passing through IAH on Thanksgiving Day, this was apparently the only nearby diner that was open. Bonus points for them, they were serving Thanksgiving dinner with turkey that was reasonably juicy. The food wasn't great, but it was passable and there was a pretty good variety available from the buffet. I particularly liked the pepper steak which was thin but well-flavored. The price was also quite cheap; the buffet ran about 8$ per person. Finally, the service was pretty good too. I can't say I would seek out a place like this just for the food, but for a short layover near the airport, this is alright. read more

Stopped on our way to the airport. It's been there forever and hasn't been updated. The food was good. Husband had the buffet and everything looked freshly made. Daughter and I had fried eggs and bacon with hash browns. I had grits and she had toast. The food came out hot and tasted great. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Bad food, but worst service. I walked in from my hotel across the street to get some dinner around 10:00 PM. I wanted my order to go, but from the moment I walked in, it took me 25 minutes just to catch someone's attention to take my order. They kept making eye contact with me, but they simply would't come take my order. Now if a restaurant is busy, I would understand, but there were maybe 10 people total at the restaurant. Then the lady couldn't ring me up cause she couldn't work the register. Then the food, I ordered a simple dish, two chicken breasts with veggies and oh boy it was awful. I asked for fruit which came from the buffet and it was old & nasty tasting. My husband ordered two eggs over easy & they were cooked fine. Writing this review as my husband and I are having a cup of coffee after our dinner. I had the buffet, while he had the hamburger steak dinner. After reading a few of the reviews here on Yelp, the food is surprisingly very good. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. In fact, the entire crew was a pleasant bunch. If I had anything negative to say, it would be the coffee is a little weaker than we normally drink, but then we're from south Louisiana, where dark roast is the lightest we drink. My boyfriend and I had missed our connecting flight in Houston due to weather delay. It was super late and Hot Biscuits was the only place open. We were in terrible moods and had to walk there in a downpour from out hotel. When we got there the waitress was leaving. She had her purse and other belongings on a table near the door. After being seated by the hostess she didn't leave and waited on us. I am a vegan and had all these annoying questions about the food. They were so accommodating! She looked up all the ingredients on certain items I had asked about. I was so shocked because I had assumed that I was being that annoying CA vegan woman and they didn't make me feel like that at all. I ended up so full with a great meal that was completely vegan. Plus, the portions are beyond generous so I had leftovers for the next morning. The only odd thing is that when customers left the restaurant the hostess always said, "Be careful out there" rather than "goodbye and thank you." This kind of freaked us out wondering if we should google recent crimes nearby but we laughed it off and made it back to the hotel full and without incident. read more
