I always support local businesses, especially new ones. I found this place near LA Puente city Park. I stopped by with the fam and decided to try it. We had to select different options because they didn't have certain things (Chicken Wings) that were listed on their menu and although we didn't order drinks, our order for 4 persons came out to $65 for chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches and popcorn chicken. The music was really loud inside and I had a hard time placing my order and understanding what the cashier was saying, so I just gave up, shook my head and paid the fine. We had originally planned on eating inside but decided to take it to go. It was so loud that I had to wait outside for my food. The food was just ok. The cashier was friendly and the ambiance is geared more for people that like to eat and don't mind a little hearing loss while listening to loud music at the same time. Will I come again? Probably not. The parking is really weird and the wait time for an empty place is over 20 minutes for just chicken to go. This place is a pleasant hole in the wall. The shop can be easily missed because it is in a plaza full of other shops. The staff was very nice, and they got out the food very quick. My favorite is the #2: 2 chicken sandwiches (yes, you get 2, whole sandwiches) and fries. Me and my buddy usually split this combo, and there's plenty of fries for the both of us. My favorite spice is the "Feeling it", and you'll definitely FEEL the spice in this sandwich. The agua frescas looked great and the menu has many options. We ordered two #3 sandwich and a tender in Texas toast. The meal did not look like the food porn pics on IG. But OMG it was so good. Chicken is tender and tasty. Spice level varies. My wife has zero tolerance for spice and said it it was still to spicy at nada level. I enjoyed my level at feeling it. Pretty damn good. First of all- for people complaining about "high sales tax", look up your local tax rate WHEREVER you are. it varies city to city, it's not subject to staying at a state level. Honestly was choosing between 4 and 5 stars. One of the main reasons is there was no air conditioning... in the california heat, I was dying in there. Another reason was I got a can of Diet Coke for $2 and it was barely cool, lukewarm at best. However, despite all this, I'm still going with 5 stars because the customer service was good and the food was really good as well. This place sucked. Took about 35 minutes to get an order of hot chick fries. I think they had to drive to a supermarket to buy more potatoes or something because I don't understand how it can take so long. There was about 6 people waiting for their food as well and they all had ordered before me. When they finally had orders ready they called multiple guests at a time. It's almost as if they had to wait on someone to deliver the food so they could serve it haha. This place is not ideal if you're trying to get a quick bite on a lunch break. You'd probably get seated and served quicker at Olive Garden. Customer service definitely swallowed. Customers were walking in at 6:45 and being turned away because they close at 7 and needed time to clean up. That's terrible service. Your business hours are over at 7, not your shift. Our go to order is their #4, we slightly prefer the hot Chickz sandwich over the chicken sandwich, and because it comes with 2 sandwiches the combo alone is plenty of food for both my husband and I. If we are extra hungry we'll sometimes order extra fries. We bounce between a mild and a medium spice level. The staff was very nice and friendly but the rating has nothing to do with them. This is based on the food I got. The two pictures shown are from the two plates that were ordered for my girlfriend and I. I got the 4 tender combo with fries with a side of Mac & Cheese and she got the chicken Sandwhich & 1 tender plate that also came with fries. The chicken here is HEAVILY breaded and the way it's prepared must mess with it in the frier because it doesn't stick to the chicken and it just creates this ugly looking shell around it and falls apart once you touch it. The pictures I attached have ZERO chicken in them, that is all breading that came off the chicken. Once all the breading came off, there was not much chicken in there. The fries were cold, bland and felt like they came from a bag. The side of Man & cheese was one of the best things that I had there, not saying it's a 10 out of 10 but it's decent, it can be improved with a creamier cheese sauce. It's not in the picture but the best thing that I had there was the strawberry lemonade, go figure right? Lol. Overall, I would probably never come back here as there are way better Nashville hot chicken options.
