The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, garlic potato mash was also amazing.. to top it off the crème brûlée was the best I've ever had. I had the steak sandwich which is really an open faced steak on a slice of bread with nicely cooked french fries. The steak was a very small 4 ounce piece. That's not surprising given that this is a lunch. Finally, I had their cheesecake, which is apparently their best thing. It was average though. Weirdly firm exterior. Not crispy so much as an odd texture of firm and smooth exterior. The inside was moist and decently fluffy. Probably their most successful side dish. I actually took the leftover veggies home and made it into a casserole because I didn't want to waste the food. We also tried their shrimp cocktail. Wow that was really not good. You could totally tell they were poorly frozen prawns that probably got over boiled before being chilled. I would skip these. The cocktail sauce was the best thing about this dish. The steak for two was actually quite good, nicely cooked and tasted beefy. Bonus points for arriving hot. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. I think I would come back to try another variation of their offerings, but maybe sticking to the very basics of steak and fries, and eschewing anything too far beyond that.

The caesar salad and escargot are good shareable appetizers as well. Recently, I tried the sticky toffee pudding dessert as part of their special feature menu and that was delicious! The warm bread and cheese/herb butter at the beginning of the meal is always a delight as well. Service wise, the staff are always friendly, attentive, and professional. I've never had an issue with service at this location.
