Never thought I'd like the Lemon Pepper dry rub wings BUT I'm now obsessed! Always got the spicy buffalo wings (extra saucy!) cuz that's the traditional style and always wondered why anyone would get anything but! Well, it wasn't till my daughter ordered it and now that salty, zesty and lemony flavor won't leave my palate! Then I discovered you can get Buffalo AND Lemon Pepper together - the best of flavors in one! I always love how small their wings are. Whenever I think of wings, I'm usually more about the crispy out layer drenched in spices more than a mouth full of chicken meat. If I wanted chicken-chicken, I'll get a rotisserie chicken or similar but wings, I like them nice and small and lean. The curly fries is a must to pair with the wings. They're always so crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. And I love it when I get the super long ones that extend about 6-8 inches when you uncurl them. It's like finding a treasure! lol. Hot Wings Cafe has never changed anything in probably decades which screams consistency which I truly appreciate. I just wish they made more of their Veggie Soup to last through the night. I'd heard great things and was genuinely excited to finally stop by. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite match the energy I came in with. When I walked in, I mentioned it was my first time and commented on how busy it seemed, trying to start on a positive note. The response I got back "we're actually a lot busier than this", felt a bit egotistical. I understand everyone can have off days, especially when it's busy, but a little friendliness goes a long way in making new customers feel welcome. Despite that, I still left a small tip because I didn't want to risk the service declining. The food came out fast, which I appreciated, but when I got home I realized there were no napkins, utensils, or ketchup included, basic things I assumed would be standard, especially for takeout. But most of all, my celery!! Also, I ordered the "8 Piece Combo" and was surprised there was no drink included. The word "combo" typically suggests a complete meal, not just food items. Very disappointing experience. Hot Wings Cafe should be serving hot wings, not vinegar wings. The wings had a strong vinegar taste and almost no spice at all. The burger bun did not taste fresh--it seemed like it had been frozen and then defrosted, with a cardboard-like texture. I forgot our server name but she was good, and accommodating. Happy my friend decided to come here because it's been years since I've came. The food was good and done well. I ordered the 8 piece combo with half spicy bbq and the other half hot. For my side I substituted for Caesar salad instead of fries. My friend order fries and mozzarella sticks, and they looked really delicious as well. I tried a few fries and they were really good ! The inside it good for large parties and gets pretty busy. Good ambiance if you wanna hang out with your friends or chill and eat. Not too much decor just pretty much basic. You can park in front or in the back. They don't pay attention to the order details--my husband's food was ice cold, possibly from being packed with the vegetables in the same tray, and they also forgot our 1/2 pint of ranch. The servers in the restaurant are subpar, and the original owner's son, who seems to be running things now, is consistently rude, rushed, and appears annoyed. So they keep getting bad reviews taken out it seems. I'm reposting with edit so people can see the truth. Wings have gotten 60 percent smaller- many have pieces of the feathers- wings come really dry so you can get charges for extra sauce. They used to give you 2 little ranch cups for your order now it's 1 so you can get charged for more. I loved this place but now I've come across wings that have almost no meat on them. I've been a long time customer here and can say that service and food quality has gone down. So many complaints from tonight's visit and probably will think twice before coming back. We sat down and not soon after we were asked to move to another booth because they wanted to seat another group there. They took long to attend us and once they did, the food took forever to come out. The table we were moved from had their food come out first and we ordered way before them. What a great experience! Greeted immediately while we came in. I've had their buffalo, bbq, spicy bbq and lemon garlic buffalo. I'd have to say the best one was by far the lemon garlic buffalo. I figured they'd at least include 2 or 3. The cheese fries had 2 visible pieces of sliced cheese melted on it. Cheese fries costs $2.25 more than regular fries. So you're telling me these 2 pieces of melted cheese are worth $2.25? Seems like management has started cutting a lot of corners to save some money but it's at the expense of customer satisfaction because this is laughable. The cheesesteak was incredibly dry. I didn't even know it was possible to make a cheesesteak dry. They're supposed to be extra cheesy and greasy. The buffalo chicken sandwich just two chicken tenders thrown on a roll with half a slice of cheese, wilted lettuce and an overripe tomato. Also incredibly dry. The only saving grace was the wings which are good, hence the stars for this review. But they put one small cup of ranch for 16 wings. Extra ranch was an extra cost. Please. If you just want wings I guess go here? But anything else you're wasting your money. Added un-bonus - the Door Dash driver took half an hour to drive 3 miles.
