Not a great restaurant-- Panda Express is better. Very hot inside, I don't think the AC was on and it was almost 100F outside. Made for a nauseating dining experience. Inside seemed clean-ish but very worn down. Kitchen didn't look organized from what I saw. Crab Puffs were the only dish we somewhat enjoyed. They had way too much wrapper and hardly any filling, though. My Sesame Chicken was very hot and crispy but the rice tasted old. My Dad says his Garlic Chicken tasted like old grease and that the chicken was rubbery. The lady waiting on us was friendly but disappeared mid-meal. Quality of the food has dropped over the years. Service has always been so-so. I have never sat and ate inside, only ever ordered to go.

Everything was amazing. Went there for the first time at the beginning of the week and took my whole family there on the weekend. Service is awesome. But the absolute best part is the food!!! From chicken and egg fried rice to pork dumplings,, crab puffs, katsu chicken and general tso chicken everything was hot, fresh and delicious!!! The portions are huge so we did family style today and still had food left over for dinner. I will be going back again and again to try new things every time! Can't wait to go back and try sweet and sour chicken!! And my girls want to try the Lo mein. This place has so many options that it's gonna take us a long time to try everything that we want to try. Got there had to wait and literally yell for someone to sit me and no one came out. Then when someone finally appeared he asked if I knew what I wanted to order. I ordered my food and when I left was told that I ordered dinner not lunch which I went there before 3 to have. He didn't ask me anything nor offered me the option of lunch menu or entry but of course charged me the most. When the food arrived the rice was super hard, dry and the orange chicken I swear Costco would be the same if not much better. Don't recommend - poor service dropped the food and dropped the check. We were craving for some Chinese food and ordered a to go from GrubHub for chow mein and lo mein. They have so many vegetarian options, and we tried their veggie option. When the food arrived, the quantity was a lot, we thought it was worth the money and could easily work for a family of four. Both chow mein and lo mein were just average, taste wise. I felt they were too salty for my taste, though it had good amount of veggies, the sauce was less and the noodles felt dry. I'm not totally happy with this please maybe a dine in would be better, I would definitely want to give it a try and the price is decent too. read more

I went Gold Chef today and ordered a large egg drop soup and wonton noodles for the soup. When I arrived I checked the noodles and there were only one bag of noodles. I asked for a second bag of noodles because I had the large not small soup. The lady asked for the one bag back so she could give me a larger bag. She bag with two bags and quickly stuffed them into my bag. I left. On my way home (my mistake I should checked while I in store) all she had done was separate the one bag into 2. See pics! Sad!!!! I needed a small lunch/dinner. I've seen this restaurant several times and never stopped. This time I did! Pleasantly surprised, I ordered potstickers and chicken on the stick. The pan fried potstickers were EXCELLENT! Freshly cooked, perfectly seared and steamed. The dough was not to thick and the meat was lightly seasoned! The chicken was a little salty for me... however I usually eat a low sodium diet. I'll go back to try more items. Warning....it looks as if it's closed, but for a small sign flashing. Something tasted very wrong with my hot & sour soup. It had a chemical taste so I dumped it. The chicken & noodles were over cooked and weirdly gooey when eaten. First and last time had lunch today Saturday 1:10pm. Seafood delight with brown rice. Rice was crunchy barely fully cooked so they replaced it. The delight menu description included Squid...no Squid. The "? it was" in deep fried batter of a not deep fried item was not a seafood to be known. And the amount of fake crab was the main thing in my entree. We received a flyer on our door, but the phone number connected us to their fax machine. I looked them up online and the ordering system was easy, but checking out with a credit card and the text verification system was tedious so I just paid cash. Delivery was exactly what they said...55 minutes even though I live 5 miles away. No beef there...they were honest. I had volcano wings. These wings are a dry rub and no sauce. They were delicious. I'd order again just for that. I like HOT and they met the standard. The soft tofu (Ma Po Tufu) was one of the best. The Noodles soup with Shrimp was a complete disappointment. This is essentially chicken broth with a lot of spaghetti and a few shrimp and broccoli. Not bad tasting, but not worth the $8.25. I think I'd try something else. Overall, pretty good and I'd order from them again, especially for the wings, but would want more of a wow factor from the soup than I can do myself. read more

Absolutely terrible. My first time trying this place. Ordered Korean fried chicken and shrimp fried rice. The chicken is dry and over cooked and the rice has no flavor. Called the restaurant to speak with a manager about a refund and she refused. I was craving Chinese food for lunch and found this place at my nearest intersection. It's in the Walmart shopping center. I was greeted and seated right away, nothing fancy. The window says they have lunch specials for $5.95. I ordered the Mongolian beef lunch special, it comes with a cup of soup (she called it hot & sour but it looked like egg flower soup to me) and a tiny bit of wontons with sweet & sour sauce. One female employee was taking orders, clearing dishes, running food, answering phones ..busy lady! My food was not great, the rice was called fried rice but wasn't, came with an egg roll that had noodles inside, and a barely there cream cheese wonton. Seemed like a lot of empty carbs. The green scallions were the only fresh item on the plate, it was definitely a $5.95 lunch Worth the visit but probably won't be back. They seem to do a lot of takeout and delivery orders read more

Stopped in on Friday. Lunch specials are $5.95 ( not including tax). Many special you can view prior from their outside window display. If dining in - you'll receive a complementary small cup of Hot & Sour soup along with a small bowl of fried wontons and sweet & sour sauce. Drink is also included in the meal. I had the General Tso chicken recommended by the server. It was delicious. A light battered tempura- fried chunks of chicken in a sweet spicy sauce. The sauce was really good! I would have preferred noodles over rice, rice wasn't anything special like a Chinese Fried Rice should be. Also, with the meal I was given an egg roll and a cream cheese wonton. Great deal for a good meal. In speaking with the waitress, they do get a lot of take out orders. In fact, during the time I was there two people came in to pick up their order and they had an employee that was out delivering. I was the only patron dining in. Location is busy with their deliveries and to go offers. Dining indoors are busier in the evenings and on the weekend. I really appreciated the fresh quality of the food, made to order. The dumplings were yummy and the egg foo young was cooked just as I preferred it! My friend didn't care for the egg foo young but he loved the dumplings. Ya know... in this game of ours, this Yelp game, you just never know how it's gonna go down. One day, you can order a meal at a restaurant and convince yourself that you'll never go back. The next day, you can order the same thing at the same restaurant, and have a completely different experience. I just had the sort of ride with Gold Chef. Last week, I ordered my usuals from them (one eggroll with spicy mustard, Singapore Lo Mein, Kungpao chicken). I wasn't really impressed but I didn't review them at the time. Today, I ordered the same plus my new standards (Mongolian beef and walnut shrimp) and it's like I've ordered from a completely different restaurant. 1) The eggroll was really nice, and had thin rice noodles in it as well which added to the texture. Last time, the eggroll which I received was insanely (drippingly) greasy, and I wasn't a fan in the least. However, this one was passable, and on the tastier side of acceptable. 2) The Singapore Lo Mein actually had just a little bit of kick to it, and the meats were decently sized. The veggies were pretty thick as well, and all-in-all this was a damned nice helping of one of my fav's. 3) Kung pao chicken- You know what it is, you know what it'll be, and this is exactly what you think it will be. However, the veggies were cut a little larger than I've gotten from other places, although they were limited to green and clears (ie no baby corn, water chesnut, or carrot). It was fine, but not exceptional- possibly the weakest offering of the group. I'm pretty sure that the garlic they use when they cook it is that gloopy stuff from a bottle that swims in salty liquid, instead of fresh-cut cloves. But whatever. 4) Mongolian beef - So, real talk, I'm beginning to think that this image I had in my head of Mongolian Beef being served atop a bed of thin crispy white seifun noodles is just a fantasy... but that being said... there WERE a few little noodles at the bottom of the container of this dish! So I'm holding out on hope, there. This was honestly probably the strongest dish of the group- there was a pleasant sweetness, the scallion were thickly cut, and everything came together really well. 5) Walnut shrimp - Again, an extremely solid offering. My only beef (lol) with this dish is that they mix the mayo sauce in with it in the container, which is fine when you first sit down to eat it but utterly destroys the texture of the fried shrimp when you reheat it (yes, reheatability is a factor to take into consideration). Other places have served the mayo sauce on the side in a separate container, and that's definitely my preference. Other than that, it was great, and the steamed broccoli was either freshly cut or a *damned* good brand of frozen. All in all, I'm pleasantly surprised. I expected to be a little disappointed by this order, but they gave me no reason to be. The last time I ordered from them my eggroll was literally (and I don't mean that hyperbolically, I mean it as in IT WAS EXACTLY LIKE I'M SAYING IT WAS) dripping out oil, and the scallops with snow peas dish was probably one of the foulest entrees which I've ever received in a Chinese delivery order. I'll order from them a few more times to see if this one was a fluke, and if the subsequent orders are good then I'll bump them up at least a star. But for now, I'm very happy to have been pleasantly surprised. read more

Little hole in the wall, favorite of my brother so off we went. Several tables seated and quite the line for take out but gal said "wherever" so we sat and quickly ordered. He ordered Black Pepper Chicken with broccoli (not on the menu by the way) and I the House Special Pad Thai. Food was out in a flash and a large portion. Very hot ( temperature ) and delicious. The House Pad Thai indicated it was spicy but there was no spice at all but IT WAS DELICIOUS as well as the Black Pepper Chicken. Drinks were refilled several times without asking and the steady stream of people for take-out was pretty constant. Then I received the bill..UNDER $20!? WOW and enough for lunch tomorrow-bonus! I said to the lady 3 times what i wanted and SHE was confused, now im stuck with a large container full of vegetable rice and no general tsos chicken what a waste of time and money. Customer service sucks. Oh and the cherry on top i was being yelled at through the phone by a man who was flustered at me because he didnt understand what was going on. I have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant ever since Yin's closed. I think I have found a new favorite. I have only tried the fried Tofu, Garlic Chicken and vegetable fried rice, it was hot and good. There are a few more items I want to try. Pretty good food, we ordered sweet and sour chicken which was crispy and tender, I also tried the honey shrimp which was crispy and moist, sauce wasn't overly sweet. I did Oder the crab puffs, they were fresh and had a hint of sweetness. Delivery was supposed be about 45 minutes, needless to say they were at my house in 20 minutes.
