The food was fine. Generally solid. Spice levels are pretty meaningless though - hot wasn't any spicier than medium. I'd even suggest the medium was a bit warmer. The biggest issue is the nickel and diming. Asked for water to drink. They brought bottles of water - in hindsight I should have known that they would charge...but you'd think they would ask about bottled vs tap water. Most restaurants give you complimentary onion/pepper/pickle with your meal. Not here. It's like going to Chuy's and getting charged for chips and salsa. If it was cheaper I might have understood, but this is not really any cheaper than a traditional Indian place. Delta pricing with Spirit service. I won't be back. read more

I had their lunch buffet a few days ago, but should have avoided it. They had 4 chafers: mutter paneer, yellow tadka daal (replaced by daal makhni rather than refilling it), chicken tikka masala, and boneless chicken biriyani. Along with plain basmati rice and raita, that was all that was served. The plates and utinsels ran out, but they didn't restack them. I had to reuse the plate, which I think goes against health regilations. They provided one order of naan, a few vegetable pakoras, and a jug of cold water at the table. The chicken is cooked perfectly and the seasoning is on point. To go: I ordered a medium level of spicy for the butter chicken. It was perfect for me (I like spicy). The butter chicken was a favorite for my sister, (it does have a stronger tomato taste fyi) When I returned I ordered the chicken korma but they didn't ask me what spice level I wanted. Definitely considered asking the spice level when you order! I would have gotten it a little spicier. The chicken korma was really good in my opinion, my favorite thing there so far. It has peanuts! My daughter and I stopped by for a nice lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As other reviewers noted, this place is just a diner so don't expect much for atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went with the recommended Dal Makhni, and it was very good. My daughter had palak paneer and enjoyed her food. The included rice was basmati. The nice thing is this place was able to adjust the spice for us. I had spicy with mine, and my daughter went for the mild. We asked what naan was recommended. Loved the meat-stuffed keema naan. The garlic naan was also very good. We had some lassi drinks. I tried the unsweetened masala lassi, another recommendation. This drink was awesome and went well with spicy food. My daughter thought the mango lassi was great. I'm doing the Mediterranean diet, so it's nice to see the many vegetarian and seafood dishes on the menu. Good food and great recommendations. I want to try the biryani next time. Come on, Katy! I have been waiting to try this place for the fact that they have tulsi chicken. It was unfortunately, underwhelming. It reminded me of La Madeleine's tomato basil soup with chunks of chicken added and some red pepper flakes on top. This is not a slam, for it was tasty, just not what I expected. The aloo Saag was delicious, but needed a little more spice and salt. The garlic naan was flavorful and stood out as the best part of the meal, along with the pakoras. I just wish there was more chutney to go along. I'm giving 4 Stars for the absolutely polite and friendly man who was behind the counter. This place has a great backstory, I would love to support it. We enjoyed having lunch at Tikka Temple today. Our server was knowledgeable of the menu, pleasant and kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall ambience was good, simple.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My vegan friend was excited to see a lot of vegetable options on the menu. Everything we had was good. There is also an option of the buffet for $10.99 that included select items from menu, which my mom liked as well as a glass of the mango lassi. For appetizers, we had the vegetable pakora, cauliflower Manchurian, and bullet naan (loved the spicy kick and the dips that it came with). I had the chicken madras, which was good but I wished it had some spice to it. My friend had the bhindi amchoori, which came out piping hot. Once it cooled off a little, we were able to enjoy. I ordered Aloo Paratha's and let me say the worst I have ever had. First off they are flat as can be and should be fluffy and thick. There is absolutely no filling what so ever of potato's and spices. So stingy and literally just flour dough. It is ridiculous how you can call regular paratha aloo paratha. I notice that other reviews have not been posted as they appear to have been made by friends of the owners. However they are in the right ballpark. The food is pretty good but the ambiance of the place as a restaurant is severely lacking. (see also my review of Tru India) My appetizer vegetable samosa (2) were tasty but probably not made today - pastry was a little over-crisp. Fish Madras was OK but unlikely to win any prizes. Naan was fine. Service was fine too. I will happily use this location as a Take-Out location but Tru India is marginally closer to me ( I have not compared prices) read more
