Better than the Indigo, more comfortable. Parking is quite close to the door which is nice. Staff is friendly. Upon entering the room it is difficult to understand precisely where the light switch is for each part of the room. Bathroom was nicer and has a tub which is a bonus. There is ability to completely close curtains if you need a full black out in the room. The upholstery of the bed frame was torn which was the only tacky part of the experience, otherwise you will enjoy your stay. It is not as close to Riverwalk as Indigo but well worth a couple minutes drive for a more comfortable stay! read more

My wife and I recently celebrated our 32nd anniversary and spent the evening at the Hotel Arista. Prior to our stay, since we had never stayed there, we stopped by the hotel one day and asked to see a few of their finest suites & rooms. We were very pleased with one of the hotel staff, Jake, that accommodated us with providing a tour of the suites & rooms. We made the reservation and the suite we stayed in was amazing. Our room was the Gran Luxe Suite with a very clean and very comfortable King bed, large living room, separate shower, large soaking tub, double his & her sinks, his & her robes. Also in the bathroom is a TV built into the mirror and lighting was great. In the morning we ordered in room breakfast. Eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, toast and Lavazza coffee. I was impressed in the speed of the service, the appearance and quality of the food. I also want to mention that the evening hotel staff was very accommodating as well as the evening Bellman and I highly recommend this hotel for either business or pleasure. read more

TL;DR: Save your money and go to a Hampton or Marriott for an identical experience. Staff was really nice and helpful. There's no need to try to get a Gran Luxe room when the only difference is you'll be on a higher floor. Not a lot of views around the hotel for that (construction and cranes, highways, no real "Wow" views) For paying mid 200s I expected way more from this "4 star" hotel. We got married and wanted to spend our first night here but got no upgrades or anything additional which is disappointing but shouldn't be expected I guess.. Room is more for show than being practical. There's a frosted window that separates the bed area from the bathroom so when you turn on the light you blind someone trying to sleep and you can't lock the door. You MUST request anything and everything you want otherwise you'll get a bare room. Microwave, fridge, these standard things if you don't request it it won't be in your room. Thought it was odd it wasn't standard until I got an AMENITY FEE for them.. The bath tub wasn't cleaned properly, when we were filling it there was black spots floating around even after emptying and filling a few times (is it from the water?). There's also no drinking fountains in the building to fill up water bottles, you have to BUY a water bottle which was annoying. read more

Clean, modern, memorable and enjoyable are words that come to mind after my recent stay. Rooms are well designed and bathrooms are HUGE--separate shower from large tub and a private water closet. Parking is ample though there is a valet, the lobby has a morning coffee bar but it shuts down at 9am (curious), WiFi is included with reservation too (whoa), there's a small fridge in room but you need to call room service for ice (why not), the on-site restaurant offers a nice weekend buffet style brunch but the kitchen has some minor kinks to work out. I would definitely come back though--great property and overall experience. read more

We stayed in hotel Artista for my sons wedding for 4 nights, very clean new hotel with a beautiful bathroom with nice deep tub I took 3 baths soaking and watching TV in a mirror very high quality natural soaps and lemongrass bubble bath and lotion. Bed very comfortable with very soft bedding, big TV on the wall. It is green hotel that mean use lest energy to run AC it stayed on making nice white noise, very quiet and comfortable room. Manager Sunny was very friendly and knowledgeable and give us good tips for drinks and dinner. We had a breakfast I ordered smoked salmon with bagel, huge portions to share and very good. For dinner we had drinks Old Fashion, fish for dinner nice portions and very fresh using fresh herbs. Wood burner pizza was excellent. Few other breakfast and coffee shops in walking distance. This hotel has very friendly and accommodating staff, I will recommend to anyone who is looking for nice place to stay. read more

Do not book this hotel for your wedding block!!!! I have never seen such poor hospitality in a hotel. My friend booked this hotel for her wedding block this past weekend and the bride, bridal party, and guests were very disappointed in their stay. One of the biggest reasons Hotel Arista was chosen for the wedding was that it's bar was open late, except we weren't actually served any drinks. After the wedding, we arrived at our hotel at 12:30am. We were told that the bar would call last call for alcohol at 1:30am. So we thought okay perfect we have an hour to get a few drinks and hangout in the beautiful lounge area. Only problem is that there was one bartender to serve 2 wedding parties and other hotel guests. The bar area wasn't even at capacity, but people still couldn't get a drink without waiting 20 minutes. Yes 20 minutes was what the bartender said the wait time would be. And I totally get it! How can one bartender serve 60 people all by himself? I worked in the restaurant bar industry for 10 years and I know that you need at least 2-3 bartenders to serve that many people. At her point we have about 50 minutes until last call so I went to the front desk and asked the front desk supervisor Mike Domingo if we can get another bartender to help. He told me that he had someone running food up to room service and as soon as he is finished hel send him behind the bar to help. So 15 minutes goes by and no one is back there. I go back to the front desk and another guy is there. He said his name was Andy (refused to give me his last name) I ask Andy where the help is and he responds that no one has a license to serve alcohol other than the bartender.... so you're telling me that you have one person in this entire building on a Friday night that can serve alcohol. Last call is now approaching and many people still haven't received a drink. I ask both Andy and Mike for some sort of compensation for the bride and groom. They told me they can send up beer and charge their room. Uhmmm do you know what compensation means??? You're correcting what you have done wrong sir, not selling to us. We tried buying your beer at the bar. That didn't work. Now I think it's a respectable time to make up for your mistake of only putting one bartender one. When I expressed my disappointment Andy looked me strait in the eyes and said "get out of here". I responded with "excuse me?" At that point Mike told Andy to walk to the back. Andy continued to stand there and stair me down. This man looked like he was going to hop accords the front desk and attack me. After about a couple minutes of this guy trying to intimate me and Mike trying to get him to leave the front desk. Andy says "have a good night" in a slow lispy voice. Is this guys seriously working in a hotel?!! So now I have a worker clearly trying to intimidate/ hurt me in some way and has access to my personal information and my room. How am I suppose to feel safe? Not only am I upset that my friends and family are unable to enjoy the night, I am now worried about my belonging and my personal well being while staying at this hotel. This is a warning to anyone who is considering having a large group of people staying in this hotel. Just go somewhere else. read more

For over $150 a night, I expected a cleaner room than what I had. The bathroom had hair all over the place. I was asked to "upgrade" to a deluxe room and it was even less nice than the rooms my family had which weren't even deluxe! We had a reservation for two people in our room and only had one robe and no slippers. I was disappointed by the lack of continental breakfast and the high prices of the available food options. The best thing about this hotel was the parking situation and its proximity to Top Golf. The staff was friendly, but when there was a billing issue I needed resolved, the lady at the desk did not seem to understand English and could not resolve the issue for me. We have stayed at this hotel a few times, and it does not disappoint! It is a boutique hotel and service is amazing! We were greeted by the front desk staff enthusiastically and were given a room upgrade because of our return visits! It was greatly appreciated, as were there to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The Zorba Lounge has great service and solid drinks! We sat out on the patio with the fireplace to enjoy our cocktails. Beautiful! The room was beautiful! Room service was average, but on time! First off, let me say, the bed and pillows are so incredibly comfy!! The headboard is as well, and great to lay your head on too. We all had a great night's sleep! For the amount of money we paid for the room, they should've left more toiletries in the room. There was 4 of us sharing 2 separate queen size beds, and were only left 1 bottle of shampoo, conditioner, soap, and 2 bath robes. We did call down and ask for more, and they came up within a minute, which was amazing! Their service was awesome! What I like the most about the location of the hotel is that right next door, there are a few shops and a coffee shop. It is also located near the highway. This is a wonderful hotel! Over the years, we've stayed at a number of five-star hotels and, to our surprise, we believe the Hotel Arista is the most hospitable and comfortable of them all. (Our last stay was in the Mark Hopkins in SF.) Every member of the staff went "above and beyond" to make our stay comfortable. Kudos to the front desk staff, the bar staff, the restaurant staff, housekeeping and Michael, the Bell Captain. The room designs are "smart" and the amentities are first-class. We strongly recommend this fine hotel. (I believe "everybody imitates the Boss" and we met the owner in the lobby one night. I can easily see that her enthusiasm and care for her guests would be the benchmark for her staff.) read more

No bueno.... Ok - so upon first impression the room is AWESOME.... It's ultra modern, and it's sexy, and something you would expect paying the price you pay. Unfortunately its all a show. Here is a short list of MAJOR POSITIVE things: 1) The customer service here was by far the best thing about this place. The ladies at the front dest were extremely helpful, and fun, and just a pleasure to do business with. 2) The room is awesome, the TV is huge (also a negative pt...) , the bath was small but I was able to relax. 3) the bed was ultra comfortable!! Ok - but why the 2 stars?..... here are the no no's. 0) This was the weirdest thing ever!!! - Yelp.com was blocked while staying here..... that was the ONLY site I couldn't access..... very strange. 1) $6.95 for a glass of ice tea?!?!? Seriously, WTF!! Who the hell do you think you are charging that much for a freaking glass!?! OF TEA!!!! --I was dying of thirst one night, and had room service bring me up a PITCHER of tea..... the server comes up and only with a glass. THEN hands me the bill - I look at it and it says, $6.95 --- TEA. I immediately laughed and said she's joking.... I wasn't expecting to pay for a cup of tea - let a lone $7..... but I then got stern and said - "I ordered a Pitcher of tea, and I"m not paying $6.95 for a GLASS...." She replied "Sir this is what we charge!?!?" The look on my face must have been that of disgust! About 5 minutes later, and a few harsh words, I signed the bill and she went to go get the pitcher I ordered..... NOT GOOD! 2) The TV starts off on the usual hotel program - but the software that they have, is HORRIBLE. You have no menu, no real way of surfing.... etc. .. annoying. 3) The rooms ARE quiet - IF nobody is next to you!! Now the hotel is sadly empty, and the investment loss the Calamos family is taking on this development is huge (but that's a different story). I could hear the guy next to me SNORING all night. I couldn't fall asleep and was seriously going to ask to be moved....... if I hadn't had all my crap everywhere!!! Paperthin walls is a no go. 4) Roomservice!!! What roomservice?!? For a 4 star hotel you would think that the options where huge! Nay.... Just a simple tri-fold pamphlet with a few things on it...... No bueno. 5) Pre-pre-checkout?!?!? IT was around 10:30 at night when I got a knock on the door and it was one of the workers.... She said she needed to come in and check the mini-bar?!?! Really....... now? Why check now, when I can still have something tonight, and you have to check tomorrow anyways?!?!?! Ugh- frustrated. * 3 1/2 stars review! Yes, it is a trendy hotel with a very young crowd attraction but the hotel is a little too overrated in my opinion. Yes the bed sheets are nice and the tv in the bathroom mirror is superb but my room was definitely not very clean and even though I have told them I had my dog with me, it took them 2 days to actually give her a food bowl and snacks like they had promised when I checked in. The floors were full of stains and crumbs and I was deadly afraid that my dog would pick up something like chocolate pieces which can kill her. read more

If you are looking for hotels in which to block out rooms for an event, say, a wedding, DO NOT use Hotel Arista. Their sales department is literally one employee strong, and if you work regular business hours, don't expect to ever get a hold of her. When you do, don't expect answers right away. When you drop off your contract, don't expect anyone to let you know when your guests can start using the whopping $10/room discount. They won't. You have to do their jobs and keep track of everything. If you choose this hotel for your guests, they will probably be happy, but it will be the most frustrating and involved part of planning your entire event. *Edit: since writing this review, Hotel Arista has changed the price of the discounts for our block to the price they originally quoted us. read more

All i can say is WOW! My boyfriend and i attended a Halloween party out in the suburbs and this hotel popped up on hotels.com. The staff was incredible and the hotel was absolutely 5 stars! We got there and the valet guys intermediately got our bags and walked in to introduce us to the receptionist. Friendly, fast and very welcoming! Our room was HUGE!! The bathroom was incredible! Everything was top of the line and modern. We called for room service for some additional towels and literally within 3 minutes (yes i looked at the clock) someone was up with towels. I stayed at many nice hotels but this one was one of THE BEST i have stayed at. The nightly rate was $112 and it was money very very well spent! read more

The Hotel Arista is a beautiful sleek modern boutique hotel about forty minutes West of Chicago in the Western Suburbs. The attached complimentary parking garage is appreciated. I also appreciate that the hotel restaurant Che Figata is not a typical hotel restaurant and offers a fine culinary experience. As nice as this hotel is it's just not on the same level as a world class hotel such as Langham, Waldorf Astoria, Ritz-Carlton, or Peninsula. To me the decor of the rooms and public areas is nice and well done but also minimalistic and unoriginal. If you happen to stay in this area some attractions worth visiting are Fox Valley Mall and Chicago Premium Outlets. read more

I stayed in the Arista last year and loved it. This time, I had a long business trip planned in the US and I made certain to choose the Arista for my last week despite it being a 20 min drive from the office. Unfortunately this visit did not live up to the last... There is a lot right with this hotel so let me list that off first. It's gorgeous. Nice decor, comfortable and spacious rooms, lush bathroom with a deeeeeep bath, beautiful toiletries, some very nicest staff you could meet, fantastic cocktails (bloody mary & martini's are to die for) and great breakfasts. So why the 2 star review? Well you can't really enjoy the "nice decor, comfortable and spacious rooms, lush bathrooms" when there is a horrible smell coming from the drains of both the toilet and shower! During the first 5 of 6 nights that I stayed there, I raised this with them 4 times. Only on the 4th complaint was I offered another room - with one night left to stay and a long work day ahead I had to decline as the effort outweighed the gain at that point. The previous 3 complaints resulted in a temporary improvement but seriously - sending a maintenance guy with ajax to put down the drain is not going to fix the issue! I am fairly shy and found actually making the complains extremely uncomfortable - to make matters worse (and more uncomfortable) I felt like my complaints were completely ignored - they heard me but there was no sense of empathy or apparent desire to resolve the issue for me. "Effortless" it was not! Only on the last day when I said that I had not really enjoyed my stay did one of the staff have a reaction that was anywhere near appropriate.... unfortunately too late. There were other issues as well - like my laundry not being collected and when it was being returned a day late and an incident of inedible room service (way over salted). I was not charged for these items - that's great. I'm happy to not be charged but I had to enquire as to the outcome of the complaint... there was no "we're sorry about your meal we have deducted it of the bill" - just "I'll let the manager know". Good but just not good enough. Really I think the issues boil down to poor communication more than anything else. Each complaint was made to a different person and no one closed the loop on any one of them. Regardless of the reason it did spoil my experience and when travelling with work I will think twice about staying at the Arista again unless absolutely necessary. I'll miss the bath but them's the breaks! read more

The Hotel Arista completely met my needs on an emergency trip for my father's passing. The hotel was a sanctuary of peace and little luxuries in a very distressing time. I cannot tell you how nice it was that the coffee in the room was decent with the K cups, and better still was the self-operated espresso machine in the lobby. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was over the top comfort. The tub is now the tub of my dreams :) Free wifi too! Also, I must mention the kindness of the staff. I stayed here for one night during a business trip and was amazed at the details that went into each and every room. From the television in the bathroom mirror, to the video conferencing telephone and big screen tv that has the connections for your laptop to plug into it. Even the light switches were unique with "day time" "night time" "home" and "away" features to create the exact lighting for your needs. I held my post wedding reception this past weekend, and most of my guests stayed here. It was an outstanding property. Katie Jones was my wedding coordinator, and couldn't be more courteous, professional, and speedy. Also, Cameron at the front desk was the bomb. We also were upgraded to a gorgeous suite. I was exceedingly happy I decided to chose a suburban site vs. fighting the crowds and cost of downtown Chicago. Imagine free parking. Yes, that's how it should be, and it's also very considerate to your guests! Also, am amazing gym and a spa (sadly, I didn't have time to use the spa.) The room: Contemporary and clean. Spacious bathrooms. The view over looking the roof was disappointing, but what kind of view do you expect at a hotel in Naperville? The wedding: It was probably the best food I have ever eaten at a wedding. Even something as simple as the salad was done top notch. The room was elegant with a decent sized dance floor. The servers and bartenders were extremely friendly and accommodating. My date was allergic to a menu item, and he mentioned it as he turned down that plate. The server returned and substituted it with a different appetizer without even being asked to do that. I thought that was a nice touch. The bar: It was fun, and was also impressed and thankful that the bar tender rightfully cut me off. Too often people are beyond over served, yet bars are too money hungry to stop selling. I may have not been exactly excited about that at the time, but I was not offended by it. Kudos! read more

Stayed here for a conference. Not the most convenient place for dining choices nearby. A few overpriced restaurants, all with fairly similar food and a coffee shop next door. If you're in Naperville and not Chicago proper, it's not bad. Entering the lobby for the first time, you notice a pleasant scent of candles that becomes cloying after a day. The rooms were above average. Modern decor with a nice shower and a tub option. It was nice, but it would have been much nicer if the surrounding area was a little more developed. read more

My first impression was that of a nice corporate office park. This hotel has a very nice, new luxurious interior. The rather smallish, cream colored marble and light was different than the typical dark hotel lobby front desks I'm used to seeing. Off to the left of the front desk is a large, modern lobby that served serve yourself espresso and coffee. Very nice indeed. To the right of the front desk is entrance into Sugar Toad's. (See my other review. ) There's also a decent business center to check your email if you didnt bring your laptop on the 2nd floor. Pros I was told there are only 15 rooms per floor which makes the service very personable and a quiet hotel. Upon entering my room, I was quite floored at the beautiful modern design. The bathroom had both a tub and separate shower and private commode section too. The walls and doors to each section were shaded glass. This reminded me of a more upscale room in Vegas! There was a large screen tv and even one in the bathroom mirror. The seating area was a modern chaise lounge half sofa and the bed was extremely comfortable with great pillows and bedding. Service here is very polite and helpful. Cons Ok, to reduce the noise level, there are no ice machines! I was superbummed about that after changing into my pjs. I walked out of the room assuming an ice machine was close by. Had I asked for my room to be close to the ice machine as I normally do, I would have been told there are none on any floor. I found out after the fact. The front desk offered to bring me ice to my room but I really didn't feel like it after the fact. I wanted to take a bath but I was confused with the attachment. I could not get it to go back to the normal mode, so it stayed on the spray mode. I love technology but c'mon, the directions to turn on the tv were more complicated than necessary! I called the front desk and it was much simpler than the printed instructions by the remote control. It's as if the hotel front desk is accustomed to the same questions. Also, in the morning, I had no problem turning on the tv in the bathroom but for some reason, the power button to shut it off didn't work, so I had to leave it on when I checked out. Finally, my wake up call was a live front desk person which surprised me as I expected an automated message. Otherwise, I would have given this place 5 stars. Would I stay here again? Yes, for the corporate rate I get. Of if you have to stay in someplace nice in Naperville, I would recommend. J read more

I really, really wish I could give Hotel Arista 5 stars. It was a truly lovely place. They think of every little detail. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. You're even sent a menu of pillows before arrival to choose from. The bed was amazingly comfortable and it was easy to drift off in. The bathroom was also lovely too. Loads of plush towels, a nice soaking tub and a wonderful shower. My main complaint is how the spa and restaurants are laid out. It was very difficult to find them. We ended up wandering around for quite awhile before finding what we were looking for. It was almost a comedy of errors trying to get to the Tap In without going out into the cold. We eventually found it after several elevator rides. read more

I attended a wedding reception here and it was fabulous. The room was beautiful, the food was amazing, the bartenders were friendly, and the whole evening went without hitch. I also stayed at the hotel for two nights, and that was great as well. The rooms were clean, large, and modern (the lights are awesome - each one can be controlled individually but there are also global switches by the bed and door that affect all the lights at once [all on, all off, night light only, etc.]). Parking was very easy. We always found a space out front but there is also a garage. The staff was friendly. All of the amenities in our room (fridge, faucets, TV, etc.) were in great shape and functioned well. The rate that we got on a the room was fantastic. I do have a few minor complaints that keep me from giving Hotel Arista five stars. Our rooms were supposed to be next to our friends but they ended up being on completely different floors. We were given a handicap room that didn't have the bathtub and separate shower stalls normal rooms have, even though we didn't ask for this. Two of our three keycards didn't work unless you tried them over and over again. Overall, I really enjoyed Hotel Arista and would definitely stay here again if I was in the area. read more

The first half of this review will be my experiences getting married here and the second half will be about the hotel itself. Ok, when I was getting married we were looking all over the place to find just the right place. Somebody suggest this place, but this was one of the last places we wanted to check out because it really looks upscale. I mean this is a 5 star hotel, you can just tell from the minute you walk in. But we decided to give it a try. We made an appointment with somebody that I am happy to now call a friend... Davina. It became pretty apparent that we didn't have enough people to get married at the hotel itself. But they own CityGate Grille as well. And they could accommodate us. We went over and feel in love with the place, almost instantly. They tweaked our wedding to be within our budget and although gave us some tips that later made our wedding more expensive we never once felt that we were pushed into anything. Davina was amazing. Before the wedding, helping us plan it... during the wedding, she was on hand and managed it, and after the wedding being a true friend. So the wedding package came with a complimentary room. Which I used so I wouldn't see my beautiful bride before she walked down the aisle. I got an extra room too for my groomsmen. So my room was upgraded into a suite. Which was unbelievable. The decor is so nice and modern. The view was great. The place had every luxury one could ever hope for. The bathroom had a tv built into the mirror... very Vegas like. The shower was huge and had a separate tub that looked like it was free standing. They really went all out to take care of us. The regular room was huge too, it too looked very modern. I would have been happy to have stayed even in the regular room. It's so cool they have like a tempered glass window that looks into the room from the shower. Bringing in all the light from the room without putting on a show to anybody else that's in the room. You could make out shapes but no details. Can't wait to go back here someday and spend a little bit more time here. By The Way there's a shuttle bus that'll take you to CityGate Grille from here. It would be a couple of block walk if not... but it's nice to have the ride. Beautiful place, they also have several events throughout the year... we hear about them all on FaceBook and have been to some. Like a Christmas party with silent raffles and stuff... money goes to charity. read more

We've stayed at Hotel Arista twice now when we visit my husband's son, and we are deliriously happy. Until they opened a couple of years ago, the choices we had were either smaller low-budget hotels in old downtown Aurora backing up to very loud traintracks, or driving back and forth from downtown Chicago. Hotel Arista offers a higher-end hotel right in Aurora, but at amazing prices. We've paid under $129 per night. The service is outstanding. At check-in all you do is say your name and they hand you your portfolio and keys...no waiting which is awesome when you roll in after a late flight. Staff is always pleasant, well-dressed and efficient. The room decor is very modern but with high-quality finishes. Love the spacious bathrooms with beautiful seamless glass showers, separate tub and a built-in TV in the mirror. The lobby restaurant is delicious enough to eat at for every meal during your stay, but only if you can afford it as it's a bit high priced. read more

Beautiful hotel right on the edge of Naperville between Warrenville and Aurora. We had a wedding and the reception here. The rooms are beautiful and they have great suite style rooms available as well. They have a sitting areas which was used for hair and makeup, a large bathroom and two adjoining rooms. My only complaint is the outrageous price for the room service. We ordered two pitchers of OJ for mimosas and they charged us $40 per pitcher. Like they were not even that big! Nor was this fresh squeezed OJ. We could have simply run to the store and bought a gallon for $5 or had postmates deliver 2 gallons for $10. I'm terribly disappointed. My husband and I were looking forward to an overnight 'staycation' with our 5 year old and this place seemed perfect. I'll get to the point: 1. Requested a pillow menu. It was the only thing I asked for in our reservation, and it was nowhere to be found. I had to google it so I could call to request the 'special' pillows. We ordered a body pillow, two lavender aromatherapy pillows, and one cherrywood pillow. With the exception of the body pillow, they were a huge letdown. The aromatherapy pillows had hardly any scent at all, and the cherrywood one wasn't heated like it was supposed to be. 2. WiFi is only free up to 3MB. Then they charge for it. 3. Broke a nail on the sliding bathroom door. It's super heavy and the handle was painful to use- cut into my hand every time I had to use it. 4. The makeup mirror was touchy. It didn't want to turn on at first, and then when it did, it changed intensity on its own. 5. The sprayer in the soaking tub didn't work at all. 6. Valet parking? We waited a few minutes and nobody came. I could see staff indoors, and I know they saw us. I parallel parked my own car on the narrow street perpendicular to the entrance. They also weren't around when we left, so I doubt their story that the valet was 'on break' when we arrived. 7. Food was way overpriced for what it was- it wasn't bad, but if I'd known what to expect, we'd just go to Cracker Barrel down the street for breakfast instead. Plus, our food arrived late. 8. You can't bring liquor, apparently. So 5 domestic bottles cost us $40. I get that hotels aren't cheap with regards to food and drink, but at least let people bring their own six pack if you're gonna charge THAT much for beer. read more

We stayed in a luxury, corner king room on the top floor for a romantic getaway close to home. Surprisingly, I thought that the hotel was a pretty good value. We got a very nice, upscale room for the money that we paid. The service was great. Everyone was helpful and nice. Here's where I thought the hotel stood out, though. The rooms are really quiet. I didn't hear anybody while were in our rooms. And, this isn't by accident. For example, the TV's are "throttled" so that people can't turn them up super loud. They have removed the ice machines from the floors and ask that you simply call down to the front for ice. I'm sure that other things were done to keep the noise down, but it was about as quiet as a hotel gets. I'd recommend this place to others. It's really nice. read more

Travel here about 4 times a year. Always a good stay. Staff are extremely helpful and facilities are nicely maintained. Rooms are comfortable and relaxing. If you can swing it upgrade to the suite, you won't be disappointed. The soaking tub after a day of meetings is a nice start to a great nights sleep. Been here many times, each time is very consistent and memorable. I have stayed at other hotels and this one is my favorite. read more

What can I say? I love this hotel. Been here twice, while traveling on business. Modern, chic, groovy, chill and really nice employees. Both times I've been in, the front desk people have been nothing short of amazing... super friendly, helpful and willing to please. The room decor is modern, with floor to ceiling glass shower and bathroom doors, roomy bathtub where you can soak as you watch tv (which is embedded in the bathroom mirror), comfy bed, etc. On my most recent visit, they upgraded me to a sweet suite...I just wish I could have stayed longer to really enjoy it fully! Our friends got married here and our kids were the flower girl and coin bearer so we decided to get a room knowing the kids would be tired. The hall for the wedding was beautiful, not sure what the capacity it can handle but our friends' wedding had about 200 guests. The hotel itself is pretty classy and for being in the suburbs it does have a modern city feel. The rooms are gorgeous and have a lot of nice amenities like free wifi, fridge, soaking tub, tv in bathroom, robes and aroma pillows. They are decorated well with a modern style. I would give it 4.5 stars and would stay here again. read more

I never write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I arrived late in Naperville, Illinois, flying in from Houston, Texas. I mean, really late. WAY past standard check-in time. I was physically and emotionally exhausted upon arrival, following an emergency trip made for a sick family member in the hospital. From the very moment that I walked into this sophisticated yet beautifully understated hotel, I knew my husband made the right choice by booking my hotel stay here. From the courteous bellmen, the sweet, knowledgeable and compassionate front desk personnel, to room service, all the way to a service technician... these people spoiled me with their thoughtfulness and they went above AND beyond to make my stay absolutely perfect and forever memorable. These amazing people, are just that... amazing people with hearts of gold. If you're ever traveling to Chicago, and want to stay just outside the "Windy City", I 100% recommend making your reservations here. You'll be happy that you did. This for the lounge rather than the hotel itself. We read on the website that there is a lounge and that they have beverage specials on Thursday nights. We like beverages and we like lounging it turns out so we, being myself and two awesome coworkers, went to the lounge at the Hotel Arista to give it a whirl. No, the specials are not as expansive as the website would lead you to believe. They do have a pretty interesting beer menu. You may want to ask your server if they have anything that is not on the menu because you may find a special surprise. They have some more expensive bottles for sharing, which I like for some reason. And they also make a darn good dirty martini. Morwe olives next time, though! There was a vodka and a gin special so my plain old martini was only $6 - fancy ones were more. We tried a couple of the bits off the appetizer menu and they were pretty good. I mean, pork belly anything is heavenly but in the form of a BLT, well yum. Service was a bit spotty at times because there were only one or two people working in our area but our server was actually a lot of fun and very sweet. She spent a lot of time talking to us and making beer recs that I think the other members of the party enjoyed. And the space is very cozy but a bit drafty by the windows. Sleek, dark wood, low leather couches and a neat little fireplace on the wall. It is a really nice, comfortable place to go after work and the noise level is also not very high so we cold sit and talk without having to scream at each other to be heard. I will absolutely forgive the drink special issues and I will be quite glad to go back! read more

I've stayed at the Hotel Arista twice now, and I just love it. Perfect after a long drive to visit with family (it makes a great over-night spot on a two-day drive journey). Very toddler-friendly, and also pet-friendly (we brought our 25lb dog with us). I also appreciate that this hotel makes an effort to be environmentally friendly! The decor and design are gorgeous. Staff and service, way above expectation. And the breakfast was reasonably priced and delicious. Check out their packages on their website. We got a great "Pets Welcome" package that included breakfast for two. We'll be staying at the Hotel Arista again - hopefully on a weekend trip to Chicago-land. read more
