Had a great meal. Colton was our server and he was on point. Treated everyone well and was a funny guy. Great service is always a fantastic foundation to a good dining experience. Food was good and the drinks were great plus refilled when needed. Had a smash burger, pizza and other great selections. Couldn't get out without splitting two flavors of pizzookie desserts. We were searching for a happy hour after a day on the beach and decided to stop into BJ's. They had a pretty solid happy hour and have ample TVs in the bar, which was perfect as we were visiting during World Cup. In addition to the bar, they also have a main dining area and outdoor seating. We were greeted and as we had already had dinner, we just ordered mozzarella sticks and two vodka pineapples. The mozzarella sticks are everything you want, cheesy goodness with a crisp breading and a bright marinara to offset the heaviness. We did end up asking for more marinara however, as they just bring you a tiny saucer of it. This is a solid spot for happy hour, I haven't had their regular menu food, so I can't speak to that. read more

I entered BJ's (Huntington Beach) with no intention of leaving a review; however, I felt compelled to comment after dining. This felt like that rare BJ's that didn't cut corners in regard to food quality. AMAZING food. I arrived at BJ's (Huntington Beach) on the day of the World Cup Finals. It was PACKED with soccer fans and dating couples. This location had MANY televisions playing the Spain vs Argentina Soccer Game. This place exploded into cheers and energy with every kick at the goal. My family and I had called for a table reservation a couple hours earlier, and the process went very smoothly. Concerning parking, it's very easy. BJ's (Huntington Beach) is next to a Public Parking Garage. The first 90 minutes are free, and it's an additional $1 for every next 15 minutes. American Express is NOT accepted, but the other major credit cards are. Regarding Staff, BJ's (Huntington Beach) is above average. My family and I were helped by Chris. Although not remarkable nor memorable, Chris worked hard. The location was overflowing with customers that day, so I can easily imagine that Chris was just overworked and a little fatigued. There's nothing to complain about, However, the food was a HUGE surprise. I ordered the Prime Rib Weekend Special ($38.99). It comes with a Prime Rib Dinner, sides, soup, and pizookie of choice. WOW! I wish I'd taken pictures because the Prime Rib was MASSIVE and a good quality! It was cooked a perfect Medium Rare, and I happily slathered horse radish sauce all along it. This is one of the rare BJs that didn't screw up the Prime Rib by cutting corners. Also, the Clam Chowder has clean, good ingredients. And the Oreo Pizookie was delightful. On ambiance, BJ's (Huntington Beach) is comfortable and clean. There's A LOT of TV's for sports, and there's welcomed air condition. This location is a prime spot for any TV sport watching event. I especially appreciated how most customers were not being actively kicked out despite obviously sitting down for a long while to watch the game. The spot felt welcoming. Overall, BJ's (Huntington Beach) is surprisingly a good destination for quality, affordable food. There is sincere effort from the kitchen staff, and it's always nice to experience a BJ's that invests into its food. If nearby, this is an easy recommendation. 4.7 out of 5 read more

We had a really disappointing experience with our server last night. There were four of us, and we honestly felt very neglected throughout the entire visit. Our server was a Hispanic woman with pink braces and messy, unkempt-looking hair, which may help identify who assisted our table. She never gave us refills, didn't check on us, and even messed up our order when we had only ordered Pizookies. She dropped off the check without refilling our waters, and it honestly felt like she just wanted us to leave. We couldn't help but feel like maybe she assumed we weren't going to tip because we were younger, but regardless of the reason, we felt like we weren't given the basic level of service we expected. We understand that restaurants get busy, but checking on the table, providing refills, and making sure the order is correct are basic things. Went out to enjoy the summer night here in HB, and was having a nice time until I stopped into BJ's on Main. I was greeted by the hostess, and let her know I was in the mood for a Jeremiah Red. She said I could go seat myself at the bar. So far, so good. As I walked in, the manager curtly said to me "Can I help you?" Heck of a way to greet a customer. I again said I would like a Jeremiah Red. She told me to go sit at the bar. I then proceeded to wait 15 to 20 minutes while no less than 5 employees walked by without acknowledging me, offering a menu, or taking my order. 2 came directly into the bar and plugged in their cell phones and walked away. One took an order from the two people at the table right next to me in the bar. This staff needs a talking to about customer service. If you see a customer with no drink and no menu, say hi and ask if anyone is assisting them! Finally, a person I assume was the bartender on duty came up and served me my drink. He asked if I would like to order anything else and I said you better cash me out because you all seem pretty busy. He replied, we're bot really that busy (which I would agree with). While I was sitting there waiting for my order I observed the manager standing at the station inside just looking around. I'm not getting personal here, but any manager worth their salt would have come over and served me if the bartender was on his lunch break or whatever the case was. I can firmly say this is the worst experience I've ever had at a BJ's restaurant. It's not the kind of excellent service I'm used to receiving. I won't be coming back here. We visited BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse on Sunday, March 15th at around 2:15pm. This is my first time in the area, and couldnt believe how busy of a street this was. Street lined with restaurants, shops, and metered tiny parking spots. We ended up turning on to a back street and driving up a few blocks where we were able to find a spot. Parking meters take card, and allow up two hours which we paid $6 for. This actually was pretty cheap for what I thought it would be so as long as your okay with walking, coming on a busy weekend mid-day will be okay for you. We walked about 4 blocks down and arrived in front of the restaurant. It definitely looks cool and matches the beach vibe with both patio and indoor seating. When we walked over to the hostess she asked if we wanted to sit in the bar area. I replied letting her know we would be open to whatever would be fastest. She looked back at the bar area where there was ample seating and I pointed to the far back corner while saying "maybe over there?" She replied to choose anywhere. We walked over to the far corner right next to the bar side and sat down...this is where it started going downhill. She walked over with the menus and stops at my side. She then says "are we waiting on others orrrrrr......?" And I responded with "No.... just us." She said "UHHHHHH.OKAY?." and placed the menus down on our table. Mind you this was a 6 top table...and if there was a problem with choosing this table, she should have personally walked over and showed us to whatever table she wanted us seated at instead of letting us pick ourselves AFTER I pointed this specific table out to her. Since I was very annoyed at her attitude with that response, I stopped her and asked "do you want us to move?" She replied with "NO. I guess youre fine since its not busy." NOW. I worked as a hostess for a busy steakhouse in Oceanside. This is NOT how you calculate a seating situation...and involve your guest in your thought process essentially making us feel like we did something wrong. If we werent visiting with family, I would have left, but since the guys were hungry we just went with it. Our server came over and she's the ONLY reason I gave 2 stars, otherwise this visit was purely 1 star or less. Our hostess was very nice and quick. We ordered the sampler appetizer and avocado rolls to start along with two beers and the sparkling Sangria. They all came out relatively quickly and the drinks looked and tasted great! Now, the avocado rolls. I had high hopes for this...but I honestly dont know how it made it onto the menu. It was pure flavorless mush wrapped in tortilla and fried. The sauce that came with it was odd. It wanted to be sweet, but the after taste was like a burnt flavor. The sampler was OK. Mozzarella stick cheese was not gooey at all, the queso was good, the lemon pepper wings were probably the best thing we got the whole visit. The sliders were...okay. We then ordered our mains and I opted for the southwest salad and we also got the jambalaya and turkey club. Turkey club was enjoyed, the jambalaya shrimp tasted extremely fishy so that was bad. My southwest salad was one of the worst salads i've ever had, sadly. The taste of the dressings was so old, like a dressing that was refrigerated,left out, then put back into the fridge a week ago. Now the lettuce, it was very warm lettuce with the chicken being warm inching to cold. It was such an off putting combo of taste and temperature I immediately had to stop eating. We ended up ordering one more drink and asking for the check. I will definitely not be revisiting this spot. There are so many cool looking restaurants nearby on the same street to spend your money at, but very cool area to come and walk around! read more

My boyfriend and I had a really disappointing experience here the other night, mainly because of the service. The restaurant didn't appear particularly busy which made the lack of attention from our server even more frustrating. After ordering some wings to share, as well as a Pizookie to come out afterward, we realized that we were never given any silverware or extra plates to share the food. The person who brought our food walked away before we could ask and our server never came back to check on us. Because of this, we had to ask the host ourselves for silverware and extra plates. She brought the silverware but it took quite a while for the extra plates to come. What was especially frustrating was that our server had time to check on the table right next to us but never came over to see if we needed anything. There were also several moments where our server was just a few feet away from our table and still never came by to check on us. At one point she was standing near the entrance of the restaurant having a fairly long conversation with another customer and at another point she took out her phone and was taking pictures of the sunset. Meanwhile, she still never came over to check on us even once. Seeing her spend time doing these things while we were sitting right there waiting was really frustrating, especially since the restaurant didn't seem too busy. We eventually had to flag our server down just to let her know we wanted to cancel our pizookie order. We had already been waiting so long that we didn't feel like waiting even longer for it to arrive. After canceling that we figured she would come back with the check but she didn't, so we ended up scanning the QR code on the table and leaving. It was really frustrating to have to repeatedly find someone ourselves just to get basic things we needed throughout the meal as well as watch our server be nearby talking to guests or taking pictures of the sunset and then not checking in on us. We should not have had to ask the host for silverware and plates or flag down our server to cancel part of our order. The entire experience felt like we were being overlooked, and unfortunately the service completely took away from what should have been a simple meal. read more

This place sucks but what do you really expect for a chain at the beach? Host tried to sit us right by the entrance so we went to the bar table top instead. Kid server was a mess. Food took a while but he checked in to let us know it was being made and we just waited. Grilled chicken Alfredo came without chicken and nobody noticed anything until I mentioned it to my lady then the manager who was walking around. Chicken breast came out separately later after I told her to just start eating the pasta before it got cold. Server offered dessert while we were still eating the entrees. After we finished he brought us the check although we wanted a pizookie after all. Paid 8$ for a mini one when it's 9.50$ for the regular sized one. Every time she'd come by our table the vibe would get pretty awkward like if someone farted so bad you're questioning if it was just a fart. She missed some of our orders for the bazookas. One positive was that we were all in collective agreement that she wasn't the best server and gave us something to talk about at the table. Bbq burger just ok but wouldn't get it again. Service: sat outside. During our time here servers disappeared for long stretches, ordered two bottles of domestic beer which took 10 minutes to arrive. Came here with 3 adults and 4 kids. Before we went for scooter riding and my electric scooter lol. We are all hungry so stopped here for lunch before we go for a ride. Jewell was our server she is awesome smiles and friendly service, got our food quickly. Loved my kickin chicken sandwhich it was juicy and flavorful. All us adults had burgers and fries the kids had chicken tenders baby girl had corn dogs and fruit. We got seated quickly, they have indoor and outdoor seating. We decided to sit outside cause it's such a gorgeous day out. You can feel the lovely breeze coming through sitting here. It's on Main street so you can people watch and see all the cool cars driving by.
