My water heater was still under warranty, and he was able to take care of all that for me, pick up the water heater and install it. All in a matter of three hours! Originally he said he could come about an hour or two later than 11, but I was in a time pinch. I was OVERLY impressed how quickly he was about to accommodate my needs and get to my home. 100% trust Earl and HotWaterExpress and will definitely be using his services again. I recently experienced an unforeseen flooding in my basement. In panic mode, I made a few calls then I stumbled upon HotWaterExpress. I was told someone would contact me back and that they did. Mr. Earl heard my issues and came out the same night to assess the leak. Within 2 days, my main water supply pipe was replaced. The professionalism, the price and the overall work was above expectations. Of course, I shopped around but there wasn't another vendor who was comparable to Mr Earl and his team. His team showed up when expected and were friendly and competent. We put a 50% credit card deposit down before the service. I'm not sure how usual that is in the industry but I was ok with it given all the other reviews for the company. Hotwater Express did an outstanding job at replacing my gas furnace. They paid a lot of attention to specifications and safety. They were punctual and organized. My house is 74 years old and was not up to code. They started by inserting a chimney liner. Regarding the furnace replacement--It was not simply a matter of pulling out the old furnace and sticking in the new one. Since my utility room is tiny, they needed to operate within tight constraints. They found a furnace that is small enough to be maneuvered behind the hot water heater. RUUD manufactures a 50,000 BTU furnace that is appropriate for my house. The new RUUD is shorter than the old one. Fortunately, HotWater Express brought the necessary materials to do the additional ductwork. When Earl said they would fabricate on-site, he was not exaggerating. HotWater Express also replaced the vent connector pipe that leads to the chimney. **They also detected a hairline crack in one of the gas pipes, and they replaced that length of pipe.** The bottom line is that now I have a small but powerful gas furnace that fits beautifully into my tiny furnace room. They replaced my hot water heater in less than 2 hours and covered my carpet before starting the job and cleaned up after the job was complete. I would recommend one thing; If you can afford it I strongly recommend that you Pass on getting financing because the cash/credit card option is WAY cheaper! After I submitted my project details on Yelp, he called right away at 9:30 pm on Friday. By 11:00 am on Saturday, he was at my house with a new water heater. Earl first tried to repair the existing unit, he contacted the manufacturer and worked to leave the unit working again. I highly recommend HotWaterExpress!! They responded within 30 minutes of me showing interest in having a water heater installed. What made things easier for me is they were able to give me an estimate via email/cell with the submission of pictures of my appliance. Other companies will charge you to do the estimate even if you do not use there services. I had another company come in and do an estimate for me and they were going to charge me almost double for the same exact service. Their prices are very reasonable. We have a solar/gas hot water heater. It died at ten years on the dot, and we were surprised to find that this is a hard kind of water heater to replace (many plumbers said "nope,") and many wanted to come out first to "identify the problem" and nothing was going to happen any time soon. I took videos and photos for everybody else who offered to look (our water heater was making ominous clanging sounds inside - something had broken off inside the tank and was banging around when the gas turned on -there was water in the tray (from the overflow and the pressure building inside), and bubbles frothing underneath), and the sounds were clearly audible. Earl answered our desperate plea, looked at the photos and videos, told us what he thought was going on, that we needed a new tank (duh), that they had one in stock, and how much.
