I'm don't really like the taste of coffee but drink it for the caffiene which is why I have to have alot of sugar and syrup added to my triple and quad shot mocha! I'm a bit of a flavor fiend.. I wish I could drink straight black coffee but it's way too bitter for me :-/ So on that note, I've only tried their mochas (Mexican mocha is my FAV! It has sugar and cinnamon) and lattes. I don't know why but I love the foam art! It's so cute. The place is small but I like going to independent coffee shops rather than huge overpriced corporations like Starbucks. The baristas are extremely friendly, and the coffee is okay (it's not the best, but certainly not the worst)--it has a lot of spread--one time it's on the money, and the next it's a little off. The Mexican Mocha was pretty good when I had it last. Free Wifi and dog friendly is a plus, but I wouldn't use the Wifi b/c it's just too cramped in there. Best to get the coffee to go. read more

Just moved to Seattle and this place is already my favorite lil neighborhood coffee/tea cafe! The ladies who work there are very friendly, sweet, and ready to make your beverage. I enjoy coffee shops that create seasonal drinks all year round. This place had an array of creative flavored lattes. Lavender salted caramel, raspberry caramel, macadamia white chocolate and more. The space is nice and small with a good patio. They had delicious breakfast sandwiches and vegan donuts. They had a lot more options that looked delightful but we didn't try them. We went back a couple times for the nice smooth caffeine. read more

Okay...I LIKE my coffee strong...but NOT bitter. Fortunately, Hotwire meets both of those standards, and it is only about six blocks out of the way to catch my vanpool in the mornings. The baristas at hot wire are fabulous. I am always greeted with a genuine smile. My hemp Carmel/lavender latte is always made to perfection. The Marigold latte is also a tasty latte treat to my taste buds. Your selection of coffee/ teas are wonderful. By taste I can tell it's good quality. Baked good are always fresh and offer gluten free sweets. The service is awesome. I made a order (5 lattes). They were quick and made at a professionally mannered time. It used to be a ggreat place to drink a nice coffee. Now it is a place to be humilitaded. I have requested certain things (that are not out of the ordinary) and I have been replied by a comment to the effect: that gives the imp;ression I am the barista and they are the customers... This applies mainly to Tara and Nicole. They are overwhelmed with the power they don't have... They also call older women "Miss" or Mum. A nice little coffehouse, with tasty drinks and friendly service. Unfortunately, the shop is super small, with one table and a few chairs at the computer station. it's cool that they offer the computers so it's a little cyber cafe sorta deal, but it's not convenient if you want to just read or whip out your laptop. They have some outdoor seating but in Seattle that's not great for much of the year! I love swinging by here for a drink or spending a little bit of time if the table inside is open. Parking is also a pain sometimes, especially in the afternoons. read more

Hotwire was the first coffee shop we visited when we moved to Seattle. We loved it then, and even though it's not the closest coffee shop to our house, it's still our preferred place to refuel. The coffee is on point all around, and the baristas try hard to remember your name. Rena (not sure if I'm spelling it correctly) is awesome and welcomed us to the neighborhood and has remembered us and our pug, Tupac. The rest of the staff has been nothing short of awesome as well. I am a Hotwire loyalist! I love the people that work there and the past and present owners. I love that I can prepay for my coffee (like put $60 in an account) and then text my coffee order in as I am leaving my house for work and then it is waiting for me on the counter when I get there to pick it up. What could be better? The taste! That's what. Their baristas are knowledgeable and ice and make me feel like I am part of the family. I like to ask for the Dealer's Choice and they always make up a fun combination - I've yet to be disappointed. Their Mexican Mocha is a good choice as well. Hotwire is located in a cool carriage-house building with great ambience. I think the coffee itself is some of the best I've tasted in Seattle. Over and above that, the staff is excellent. They are friendly, great at making coffee, and they have a good selection of teas and pastries also. It's well worth a stop if you find yourself in this 'hood. read more

This is a great coffee shop, they always have the most inventive drinks, and lots of choices! All the Baristas are super friendly and they really have amazing coffee! I like the atmosphere and the drinks are reasonably priced too. The only issue would be that the actual space is really tiny. There's nowhere to stand once you have ordered your drinks because there's always so many people there, but I guess if that's the worst, then at least you know it's busy because it's incredible! read more
