Best service I've ever had , what a pleasure to deal with, are whole meal came at fast and was professional served.

Three strikes and your out!! In this case, I think that it was four strikes. My wife's wine came out in a dirty glass - smudged with lipstick. My potato soup was lukewarm at best. My wife's egg rolls were not hot and not to her liking. When we mentioned this to our server he indicated that other customers also complained about the egg rolls. This was in contrast to his recommending them when we placed our order. Service was mediocre. The server did not check back with us to see if everything was okay and when we complained about cold food, no effort was made to discount items or remove them from the bill. If it wasn't for the potato soup and frequent discount coupons, we wouldn't dine at Houlihan's. We keep on hoping that things will improve, but are usually disappointed. read more

We love Houlihan's in Brick! A delightful mid-week or weekend dinner, with consistently great food and great service. You can pay a lot more and get a lot less other than an opportunity to turn you nose up at a "chain' restaurant!! When a chain restaurant is good, it's even better when it's reasonable. I don't personally care for a small, expensive plate of snob. If you haven't tried Houlihan's lately, treat yourself ... and an especially good deal with an early bird if you can make it. We stopped by during COVID times and they have about 12 or so tables set outside. They're right alongside a highway but not so close that the traffic noise overwhelms conversation. No view though! You need reservations right now to get a table, at least for dinner that is. The one thing about their new outdoor setup that's really not working is that the umbrellas they have over every table really don't do a thing to protect you from the sun when you stop by during dinner. Major issue! We got sunburn. Our waiter Joe wore a mask and gloves and you could tell he was sweating it outside. He cut us off mid-sentence to ask what he could get us, but I understand. It's not easy being outside with that required mask! I ordered the 5 oz salmon and was a little shocked at how tiny it is when it came out, but I was actually totally filled by the time I finished. It was yummy and well prepared (I like my salmon well done). But perhaps I was also so stuffed because I picked two forms as potatoes as my sides! Carbs are king after all. I also had the peach tea and it was overwhelmingly stingy with the alcohol. No buzz even after finishing it within the hour. Overall not a bad experience but not great either. read more

Went to Houlihan tdy for Valentine's Day, my waitress was KELLY who looked adorable she was very knowledgeable and treated you like you were her only customer extremely personable- meal was delicious, place was clean. We came to Houlihan's after the pandemic in hopes to have the same quality of food as before, but we were a little disappointed. We ordered firecracker cauliflower which was very nice. The vegetarian burger we ordered was not good at all. Neither was the Huli huli grilled chicken from their seasonal features. They have made a lot of changes to their menu since the pandemic. We did not find our favorite pastas. Service was ok. I wish they bring back the old items on the menu back. read more

Visited the establishment on Monday memorial day. I ordered the stuffed mushroom appetizer burger, side of green beans, and a small dessert. I had been here before, and it was very pleasant. The appetizer arrived shortly and it was pretty decent. I received a phone call, which distracted me from asking the bartender/waitress what was taking my food so long. After finishing my phone conversation., I noticed that there was only person on duty servicing, the entire bar floor, and surrounding tables. She was quite busy. 45 minutes later after my appetizer, I receive my burger and fries, needless to say, the burger was barely warm, and the fries were cold potato sticks. The side of green beans were noticeably small and also cold. The green beans were overly priced at five dollars and the appearance was as though it derived from a can. I consumed the burger merely because I was starving and informed the waitress of my dissatisfaction with the composition/temperature of my fare. Also, they had not delivered my dessert. She took back my bill and only removed the green beans. No consideration was given for the poor service and satisfaction of my meal. I will never return to this establishment. Recommendation hire more staff because the consumer has other options and will not tolerate that kind of disrespect. Don B. read more

I came in at 9 o'clock with a party of four and they kept pushing us to sit in the bar area, letting us know that they had cut everybody in the dining room and that it was closed. (even though the restaurant closes at 10 ) I did not want to sit in the bar, so I was given an attitude and was placed near the kitchen where all I heard was loud music and inappropriate language. The food took 30min and the waiter didn't even seem like he cared because he was busy with the bar? It's not even the first time I've had an incident here. I stop by this place for dinner every so often and I'm never disappointed. The food is always fresh and delicious, service is also very quick. They also send out a decent amount of coupons and have great deals on food specials. One of my favorites is the stuffed chicken breast, so yummy and filling! Our retiree group meets for lunch at Houlihan's once a month because they can accommodate large groups, the food is good (although a bit pricey for some entrées), and they are always willing to give us separate checks, making it easy to pay our bill in a timely fashion. We found out that we can download their app on our phones for special promotions, like the one I received, at our last lunch. Because my birthday is this month, I received a coupon for $15.00 off my lunch! It was such a nice surprise and enjoyed what I ordered even more! So far, we have had gracious servers, who patiently answer all our questions about the menu, are pleasant and give you the service with a smile! Houlihan's is classic comfort food at its finest. I have been eating at different Houlihan's for over 27 years, yes that long and I can say hands down consistency is what makes it work! When I visit Houlihan's there just the basics for me- I really don't bother "expanding my taste buds" Trying "new and exciting dishes" NOPE! I just order what I want and expect it to be perfect each and every time and the day one isn't- well... that's a whole 'nother review. Appetizers- Spinach Dip or the Bruschetta- either one you can't go wrong with and are light enough to not fill you up, but there is plenty to share. Salads- IF and that's a big IF- If I am in the mood for a crunchies- It's the Chicken Caesar Salad- the chicken is flavorful not rubbery, seasoned perfectly and the dressing- not sure what brand-but it has a nice garlicky taste to it- Not Garlicky like Sid's Salad dressing that stuff is epic and frankly no one has better salad dressing than Sid's in Newport Bch Ca did. Entree's!!!- Stuffed Chicken Breast on those mashed potatoes--oh so good! the chicken breast is boneless stuffed with this amazing herby-garlicky-creme-cheese-breaded ever so lightly, baked to perfection. No matter which Houlihan's I go to THIS is my go to dish. Period. I will admit I did once ONCE have the Rosemary Chicken but that was the first entree I had at Houlihan's before I discovered the stuffed chicken breast- it's been the stuffed chicken ever since. So it's Sunday night and my friend and I decide to go to the Houlihan's on route 70 in brick. To be fair we walked in at 8:38 and didn't realize they were going to close in 22 min. So we go to the bar and sit. As they hand us menus the one bartender goes up to her and states the kitchen is closed and we can't order food but can order a drink. I didn't want to drink so reluctantly I ordered an espresso martini. As I drink this mediocre martini some Karen asks why there's no one standing up front to seat her. The same bartenders inform her the kitchen is closed. She leaves and no less then 3 mins she comes back and goes into the dining area and seats herself and the couple behind her are sat as well. Now 2 tables are sat and will be eating dinner while Im stuck drinking a martini when I wanted food and water. Im a local I live in brick. I should know better then to go to this dump! read more

My wife and I visited Houlihan's in Brick Township, Tuesday night. We went to Brick because the Houlihan's in our town closed two years ago. We missed the atmosphere and good food at Houlihan's, so we decided to take a long ride and went to Brick. We were not disappointed. The food was great and we realized how much we missed not being able to go to Houlihan's. We met the manager, who was going around to tables and greeting everyone. He came to our table, and we had a pleasant conversation. He told us how proud he was to be at Houlihan's and glad to have a wonderful staff to take care of the customer's needs. Our server, Mackenzie, was friendly and very efficient. We had a great evening. Hopefully Houlihan's will not close any more of its restaurant's. Thank you, for the wonderful evening.
