We've dined here twice in the past year while traveling on I-95. It's right off Exit 94. If you are coming from the northbound lanes, ignore all the signs for other restaurants, cross the highway at the light off the exit ramp then turn right on the access road heading towards Cracker Barrel and you'll soon find Houlihan's on the left. (If you turn right at the light, like I did twice, it's miles and miles before you can make a U-turn.) We had a terrific lunch this week. The pan-fried pork dumplings were some of the best dumplings we've ever been served! The chicken tortilla soup was also delicious. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her seared salmon served over spaghetti squash with pesto sauce and a tomato concasse. I opted for the tuscan white bean salad. It was plated artistically (as was the salmon) and was quite sufficient as a meal even though it was intended as a side dish. The "Tuscan toast" with which it was served was rock hard, so I crumbled the pieces over the salad the best I could to serve as croutons. Our server was Vanna and she was attentive and sweet as pie! One criticism: There was an employee at the bar who was on the phone for the entire time we were at the restaurant. I don't know how any of the bar customers got served by her because her back was to everyone seated at the bar. read more

Ceandra, our server, made us fell welcome & helped us with the menu. Our dinner was delicious and we will be sure to include Houlihan's on our next road trip itinerary. The lady next to me had the most amazing grilled scallop dish and when she told me it was amazing, well I just had to order!!! We chose to eat at Houlihan's because we were late driving into Savannah and checking into our hotel right behind Houlihan's. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The young lady who seated us was very sweet, and it was her first day (good job!). Destiny took great care of our group of 6. The menu had plenty of variety from shrimp tacos to chicken nachos to turkey clubs to stuffed chicken. There was something for everyone in our group. Food was over cooked and not fresh. I believe we could have gotten better in the frozen food section of the grocery. Salmon and Pot roast were both low quality and over cooked. Vegetable's were good and seemed fresh. I was very disappointed because the meal was expensive. read more

Needed a lunch break after departing our camp area in Georgia as we make our way to Ohio. We were unsure of exactly where to stop, the reviews on yelp helped us decide. Very clean and well kept restaurant. Our server was exceptionally quick and professionally charming. I decided to try their fish and chips while my wife wanted something a little bit lighter so she ordered their Caesar salad and chips and salsa. Our food came out relatively quickly. I forgot to mention that we didn't order adult beverages as well. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures of those. My fish and chips were absolutely delicious! I thought the tart sauce they made from scratch was exceptionally yummy. My wife's Caesar salad was extremely good. The only down check of our visit was the flavor of the salsa. We were driving through on I-95 and ran in here. Service by Brea was prompt and friendly. No drinks (driving!) but the food was good. Wife got potato soup and it was hot and tasty--definite 5 there. She got pot roast as her main--also loved that. I opted for the burger and mashed potatoes. Very good for one of these casual dining places. We tried coming here twice. Here's what happened. 1st time: the grill was down, so we couldn't order my steak salad or ribs. The order arrived at 2 different times. I received my Asian lettuce wrap after my fiancé food was almost finished. I cancelled the crème brûlée order due to the timing and just wanted to leave at this point. The waitress was very good in trying to help us chose something else. They comped us for one of the meals and comped us anyway for the dessert. No complaints here. So we waited a few days to give them another try. 2nd try: 2-3 days later, we called and confirmed the grill was up and running. We told the waitress what happened to us the first time. Then she took our orders, but unfortunately, they just ran out of ribs. The very reason we returned. So my fiancé ordered a French onion soup and I got my steak salad. The soup - the bread was too mushy- wondered if they used baguette bread or not? The cheese was a bit rubbery. Steak salad- I know it was a wedge salad and I ordered it w dressing on the side BUT the presentation of the ingredients on my plate was simple unappetizing. The ingredients were not somehow tied all together. It just seemed out on a plate with no thought to it, imo. The steak had nice flavor but a bit too much grissle in it so I really could not chew it. I liked the polenta bread crumbs that came with it. In both cases the fried mushrooms were excellent! But unfortunately, we just had a not do great experience at this location. The food was delicious, my husband had the Brentwood chicken sandwich, I had a side salad and the chicken tortilla soup. I told our server that I did not enjoy spicy food. She assured me the soup was not spicy and changed the shredded pepper jack to Monterey Jack on her own. It was so good. The ambiance was also good. I will say that with everyone enjoying and giving such rave reviews that this restaurant would be kept up better. Our light at the booth had a lot of dust on it, the wall next to our booth had greasy fingerprints and my seat had duck tape on the seat. Also the stall I used in the restroom didn't close correctly and I was not able to lock the door. Tiyana was very personable and would be a reason we would come back along with the food. We had a disappointing dinner here tonight, My ahi tuna salad wasn't very good. The tuna was tasteless. The rest of the salad was OK but very bland. If I had it to do over again, I would have ordered the seared salmon salad. My husband's shrimp pasta was't good either. It eas described on the menu as being light, but it turned out to heavy. Stopped by here last night for dinner. It wasn't busy and there was a guy playing music outside for the outside diners. My waitress was super nice and informing on the menu options. She answered all of my questions. It was my first time coming to Houlihan's in so many years. I used to come all the time when I lived in GA. We were staying at the Holiday Inn town for St. Patrick's Day. This was across the street. I haven't been to a Houlihan's in forever. They aren't in Atlanta anymore. But I have fond memories of the food and atmosphere. I can say that the atmosphere here was really nice, but the food was a different story. I ordered the fish and chips. Why did the fish and the chips have no flavor? The fish was cold and I told the waitress. She took it back and brought another cold order. My husband's burger was so burnt that it was worse than shoe leather. We sent this back and it came back only slightly less charred. The only reason this place got a 2 star was that the beer was cold. Other than that, I'll pass. read more

First, the service was excellent! The cocktails were fine and the food was pretty good. My husband ordered a burger and fries. He had no complaints. I decided to order the 4 ounce filet. It came with two sides. I asked for a baked potato and side salad. I was told there was an up charge for the salad. I think it was $3.95 but that could be wrong. My tiny 4 ounce filet with two sides was $19.50 so there was no way I was paying an up charge for some lettuce. I went with the green beans. A second evening in the Richmond Hill and neighboring area and we decided to go to this bar and grill. Much like 5-star locales, I do not take it lightly doling out one-star reviews. But sadly, this place is more like zero stars, especially given the experience we had. Right from the get-go I had a funny feeling about the place. The greeters, all of them young women and quite possibly high-school aged, had the chief among them being the most unenthusiastic and most unwelcoming greeter I have come across in quite some time. After asking us to wait a moment for a table, as the other two greeters had taken other folks to their tables, with a very hasty attitude she directed us to our table and very unprofessionally tossed the menus onto the table and walked away without another word said. Now, this alone is really not a big deal, easily overlooked and easily forgotten...if it were not for the rest of our dining experience. After a short wait, our waitress showed up, friendly enough, but admitted from the get-go she was "new at this." (Boy, did it show.) Not only did she not have a functioning pen on her (we gave her one to keep) she took our order, which included drinks, appetizer, and the main meals - and then promptly forgot to put the dinner order in. This is after warning us that the kitchen was "backed up" and "running slow" this particular evening. The discovery of this unfortunate set of events came on the heels of her trying to give us someone else's order - twice. To her credit, she admitted she forgot to put our order in, but by that time it was simply too late as we had another engagement post-our planned dinner time. We asked for the one dinner (my cohorts) to come boxed up to go while I asked for my order to be cancelled. We at least got our appetizer and I got to eat the side Caesar salad that come with my order, so at this point that was good enough for me. Then came the wait for the order, which took longer than we had hoped and then came the wait for the check, and then came the ordeal of trying to pay for our check. Our waitress simply disappeared. I tried getting the young ladies at the door to help - that was sadly a waste of time, and then I tried to pay at the bar - another waste of time. In the end, a bartender had to run down our waitress to ring us up. I'm telling you, I can't really express how much of a rigmarole it was trying to get out of there. It was actually comical, if it were not for the frustration it caused on putting a crimp on our other plans for the evening. Thankfully, I'm not from this area, so going back will not be an option. When I do return for a visit, this is one place that will be scratched off my list to try. read more

We went on X-Mas Eve and were all pleasantly surprise with the quality of our meals. I had a creole friend chicken with a garden salad appetizer. The salad was really good. The French dressing was tangy / sweet and the croutons were actually soft and seemed to be freshly made. My chicken was like something I never had before. Pure heaven and a good sized portion. The only small item was the service was just a wee bit slow, however the place was packed and the restaurant seemed short-staffed due to the holiday. Being gluten free I asked for a GF menu which they had but prices were wrong and size of steaks not correct. Need to update their GF menu. I had a filet mignon center cut with golden loaded mash potatoes and a Caesar salad. The steak was ok, the potatoes is why the low rating is because the potatoes tasted like carrot. Had my husband check to ensure I was imagining it and sure enough not telling him what I tasted he said ya that taste funny and like carrots which I do not like cooked. The salad was a bit spicy not sure if that was normal or not but my main complaint is carrot tasting mash potatoes.
