I've heard a lot about the pizza at this pizzeria. They have a small location near me with a few tables inside and out. The menu consisted of as few starters, many different gourmet pizzas and a couple of different salads. All the pizzas were thin crust made with sourdough which is better for your gut. The pizzas are two sizes 12" (4 slices) and 16" (8 slices) I ordered at the register and got help understanding the menu by the young girl who took my order , a 16" half pepperoni and half sausage for take out. Parking was easy in the lot . Prices were a little high but not for gourmet pizza in Boca. Both of us enjoyed this pizza very much. Omg! This place is a little slice of heaven! First of all when you walk in - the girl at the front - at the register, is so pleasant it's already a great experience. We had a Caesar salad, an order of the mini dough balls I assume, the pistachio pizza and the New York OG with hot honey drizzle. Wow! WOW! Wow! On our visit to Mizner Park a few weeks ago, we noticed this pizza shop with a cool name. Did some quick research and noticed that most customers were highly satisfied with their experience and the pictures of the wood fired pizza creations looked amazing. My wife gave me the order to stop in the next time we're in the area, so here we are today. Noticed the slice of pepperoni pizza prominently displayed in the window, so was interested to make that two slice purchase in hopes that the high rated reviews were accurate. We entered and immediately got a chance to watch the pizza maker preparing a pizza which he slid into the wood fired oven. Noticed the box of big blocks of oak wood next to the massive black kiln which proudly displayed the "How Ya Dough'n" name. The blissful scent of pizza firing up in the oven gave me goosebumps. With a grin on my face, I requested cheese slices, and the employee advised they dont do slices but offer 10" pizzas instead - which was the nicer way to let me down. I thought a tear was actually forming under my left eye after the depressing news. I sadly informed the two employees that I noticed the pepperoni pizza slice design on the front windows and we came here specially from Fort Lauderdale to try their highly rated pizza. The manager could see an old man's grin was turned into a frown. He told me that he was going to make us a 10" pizza for us to try complimentary and would not take a No for an answer, after hearing me say No three times. We took a seat at the bar and watched him hand toss fresh dough and place sauce, mozzarella and basil onto the pizza then slid it into the oven. The pizza was removed from the oven with a large spatula and cut into four big pieces. The smell instantly made my nostrils twitch. The sturdy thin undercarriage was nicely chared and the mozzarella cheese was still bubbling with scattered large pieces of basil. The first bite produced a loud excellent crunch. The sauce was not zesty and did not overpower the mozzerella and basil. In my opinion, the wood fired kiln really intensified the incredible taste of the pizza. The gender neutral bathroom was spotless and liked the black & white wallpaper with large floor tile. The customer service was beyond supreme and is a top three pizza so far and will definitely return for another pizza on my dime. read more

I ordered a pizza from this place and I loved it. It was delicious. The crust alone tasted great. I am a crust person. If the crust is not good for me the pizza locks something. The toppings tasted fresh and good. I was happy with the order. I ordered this little dough bites with the pizza but I didn't get to try them. It was gone by the time I finished the pizza lol. I was told they were good. The cookie, not often a cookie gets an entire paragraph but this one is. It was half baked as in not crunchy but not soft. It was perfect with plenty of chocolate chips. In the mood for absolutely delicious (and reasonably priced) pizza? How Ya Dough'n is the spot. My fiance and I stopped in last Saturday evening for dinner and were not disappointed. Their menu is small but really - do there always have to be SO many options? Sometimes less really is more. We went with the large og pep (pepperoni pizza) and two sodas with tip was less than $40. I'm slightly lactose intolerant but as a glutton for punishment, pizza is one of my favorite food groups (yes it is a food group imo). The pizza from How Ya Dough'n definitely made top 10 pizza spots in South Florida in my book. As for the restaurant itself - it's small but kept very clean. The food was a four, but the service was a three. It's a small space off of Palmetto Park Road. I believe most of the revenue probably comes from Takeaway. There was only one server for 5+ tables so this is not the servers fault, but it did lead to having very slow service. And service was limited to taking your pizza order- this was not the kind of place where they are refilling your water glass or checking in to see if you need any condiments for your pizza etc. We sat at a table and it took some time for someone to come clean it for us and when it was time to check out, this was a whole ordeal in itself. It took 15 minutes to finally get someone to bring us our bill- this was tricky as there were two toddlers in our party. A little frustrating as we were only five steps away from the kitchen and check out area.. We picked up our online order right at our designated time. When we opened it at home we were pretty disappointed to realize the pizza wasn't anywhere near hot, it was room temp. I'm talking the cheese had fully cooled and set, and the crust turned chewy. The Caesar salad was fine, nothing special. Came here after seeing this place all over Instagram and knew I needed to give it a try! Inside is small, clean, minimalistic, definitely seems more like a to-go place. There are a few tables outside as well as a few inside. The menu is limited which I love, I hate being bogged down with too many options. But they also have a few monthly specials! You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We ended up going with the white and vodka 12" pizzas, along with a side of kiddoughs w/ pesto. Like many of you, I've had a lot of pizza in my life. But this place left a true impression on me. The dough is crazy flavorful and robust. You can tell after the very first bite how much time and effort goes into this dough and the craft of the pizza itself. Don't even get me started on the char. If there was a word that symbolized something greater than perfection, I would use it. The vodka pizza has a delightful little kick to it, and the white pizza has such a flawless cheese combo, with the onions being the little cherry on top. The kiddoughs fell just a bit flat for me. I thought there would be a bit more flavor to them, but they were nice and pillowy! At the bottom of the bowl they are served in, is a pretty hefty amount of what seems to be olive oil. Maybe that weighed them down a bit. But the pesto it comes with? Superb! In all honesty, the fact that the kiddoughs didn't have a ton of flavor didn't bother me at that point because it would've been overpowered by the pesto anyways. Super fresh pesto that brought these kiddoughs to life. Two 12-inch pizzas, the kiddoughs and 2 cans of coke came to $50. Is it cheap? No. But do you get what you pay for? Absolutely. Their crimini pizza is cheesy with plenty of mushroom, but my favorite is a current special: the Ranch, which has a delectable herb ranch sauce. If one is hungry, one can finish a 12" pie since they are thin-crust, but otherwise, I'd recommend sharing. They do allow substitutions and changes for a small fee and one can also build their own pie if they'd like. Walked in for lunch on a weekday and had their lunch special which was nice and affordable. The service was nice and efficient. It is in a small shopping center so the parking is easy and the food was done quick enough for a quick lunch pick up. My pizza though, it was beyond soggy.
