The place itself is very small with only a few tables so it is pretty tight to sit and eat but the pizza more than makes up for it! We tried the cremini mushroom pizza (which was out of this world) and the vodka pizza which had a little bit of spicy kick to it. Maybe some chili oil? I don't recall what the menu said. The dough was absolutely delicious! As iwe got the house salad, which was filled with salami, chunks of cheese, olives, yellow pepper, red onion, and tomatoes. Dressing was very tasty too. Only hiccup we had was that they forgot to make our order so several people came, ate and left before we got our pizzas. How Ya Dough'n was born out of owner Garrett Goodman's pizza making hobby. A transplanted New Yorker, he started making pizza in a portable pizza oven called a Roccbox. I met my girlfriend at How Ya Dough'n for a week night dinner. They do take out/ pick up at the counter and they have a few tables inside and couple outside. The menu is a straightforward mix of staple pizzas, specials, and salads, The specials right now are a Caprese, ranch pizza, and the schoenfeld. We started with an order of the kiddoughs, pillow soft dough bites drenched in garlic and chili flakes with your choice of dipping sauce (we chose the vodka). They were yeasty one bites were heavenly drenched in a delectable sauce and we gleefully finished the entire bowl. For our meal we ordered the OG with soppressata, basil, and hot honey. I loved the thin, crispy crust and the char imparted from the oven. The spiciness of the meat combined with the sweetness of the honey is an addicting combination. You could taste the artistry in every bite. There is a cooler in the front where you can grab soft drinks and local brews. I would have loved a Dr. Brown Cream Soda but I am trying to drink more water in the New Year. The pistachio pizza looks intriguing and I would like to come back and try that. Been eyeballing this place since they opened a few months ago so when we were going to the movies at the Boca theatre, I used it as an excuse to finally try it. Their story intrigues me, they started in their Boca Raton backyard during the pandemic so the staff seems close and gave off a family feel, which is always great to see. You can see their passion for their pizza and it shows when they individually check in to see how you like the pizza. I ordered the Cremini pizza since my husband went with the Hot Mozz with peppers and sopressata. We sat down along the side of the place at the bar seating and we able to watch them interact and cook pizzas which was cool. My pizza was thin, just how I like it and covered in mushrooms, mozzarella, onions, chives and fontina. I found out later that they use a sourdough bread to make the crust which was a pleasant surprise. Just saw on a menu that they have a prosciutto pizza sometimes. Would love to try that! There was one other couple seated at the counter, so we grabbed the one other seat; he sat, and I stood and we were entertained watching all the orders being prepared. The hot oven is from Italy . I loved the burning scent. And I knew I'd loved the well done char on our pizza as well. We got their lunch special (offered M-F, 11 am - 3pm). It's a small pizza with a drink (for only $15!). We chose the white cremini pizza -- with fontina cheese, mozzarella, mushroom "cream" (like duxelles), and fresh roasted cremini mushrooms, and chives. We left off the onions. The pizza was done perfectly. Cut into 4 right-sized pieces, it was just enough for us to share along with a soda from the cooler. I'm sure we will be back. I saw people posting about a Yelp event here and looked at the menu. Instantly knew I would need to come here for myself and try. My husband and I came on a Friday night. It was a rainy night so since there's mostly outdoor seating, I'd assume that played into it. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the staff and offered to answer any questions we might have. We ordered a Caesar salad and the pistachio pizza. We found some seating outside. When taking our order, they couldn't remember if we said Caesar or Greek salad. Turns out they thought we said Greek so brought us both salads since they accidentally made the Greek first. That just said a lot about them and it was a small gesture that I appreciated. The pistachio pizza was amazing with all sorts of savory flavors. I would probably add some sort of protein to it next time however since it wasn't the most filling.
