Opening night at Howard & Platt! The restaurant is gorgeous with very elevated SoHo vibes. Valet is available behind the restaurant. We decided to grab seats at the bar, which turned out to be a great choice. Roger and Ryland provided top-tier service, and the live music struck the perfect balance. You could actually enjoy it while still having a conversation. We started with espresso martinis. Their version is on the sweeter side, so I'd either ask for a less sweet variation or save it for dessert. The house-made bread with the garlic Parmesan butter was probably my favorite bite of the night. We also ordered the whipped feta. The flavor was great, but the texture was surprisingly grainy, which isn't something I've experienced with whipped feta elsewhere. The hamachi crudo was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The serrano added the perfect punch of heat. My only note is that the fish itself was served closer to room temperature than I'd expect. It would have been much better served well chilled. My husband practically licked the plate clean after the miso-glazed cod. The bok choy was perfectly cooked, and it's safe to say we'll be back for that dish alone. The chicken thighs were flavorful, but next time I'd ask for them to be removed from the skewers before serving. There was nothing cute about me trying to manhandle them off the stick with a fork. It's safe to say whoever created the dessert menu really loves Magic Shell. It's on four of the five desserts, so if that's your thing, you'll have plenty to choose from. Overall, it's a beautiful new addition to the neighborhood with excellent service, a great atmosphere, and several standout dishes. Looking forward to seeing how it settles in after opening week.

Scheduled a brunch reservation earlier in the week for a Sunday to check out this new spot! When we arrived, the restaurant was mostly empty during the early brunch hours with the exception of a couple of tables being served. This quickly changed after about 30 to 40 minutes. I chose to valet $10 as there was absolutely no street parking available. The decor of this restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The server was great, you can definitely tell there was training on the menu and that she had tasted many of the items to offer suggestions. We went with the feta dip for an appetizer and split the steak and eggs. Honestly this was a great portion for two people. I would say my only critique is I wish the feta dip was a bit thicker inconsistency. I really think this type of dip is so much better to spread, however, the flavor was good. The drinks were mixed well, I believe we ordered Hugo Spritz. Overall, great restaurant and I would definitely like to return to try some of their dinner items.

Live piano and vocal music in a GF conscious place. The baked potato and crab shrimp rigatoni (per my friend) was amazing! I really love how the baked the potato contained creamy, hand mashed contents! The rainbow roll was super meaty. The shrimp avocado and hamachi was super fresh, yet room temp- so a bit "warm", if that translates. It is summer in Florida tho. My friend loves smash burgers and gives this one a 4.5 on a very tough scale- which is awesome! The menu is new American with a Greek and Asian touch which is confusing my group. The music was chill, piano- sleepy time. Music is important so pick a genre and LFG (: Our server was fire: thank u Julia! I will BRB 4 sho.

We sat at the bar and were happily surprised that they had a happy hour and brunch this coming weekend. We ordered the Hamachi Crudo, cheeseburger and meatballs, and it was all delicious! Brady, our bartender was great. The new buildout is beautiful and inviting. It's a great addition to the neighborhood!

Brunch menu: Breakfast sandwich with sausage, beef and pork meatballs, and cinnamon sugar donuts - all yummy

Didn't need all the micro greens for garnish on top but this could be overlooked because taste and flavor was amazing. The tuna tartare was super tasty as well and I would definitely order this again same comment for micro greens on this dish - didn't need this and found myself moving it off the dishes to actually enjoy the item. The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. Service for our large party wasn't bad and everything came out pretty quickly!

Food is terrible - they even forgot the egg as a part of my ramen and brought me a frozen egg when I mentioned the missing item which was disgusting. Octopus is so tough and chewy. Terribly cooked from frozen. Mango sticky rice is absolutely horrendous. Nothing like what you expect. Temperature is terrible - they don't use A/C so it's incredibly hot and humid in restaurant. Avoid this place at all costs.

We also love Hyde Park and it's just so nice to walk around that area before or after your meal. We started off with cocktails -- I went with the pomelo (nikka coffey gin, aperol, grapefruit, szechuan peppercorn) and she got the shinshun (sparkling sake, yuzu extract, & honey). We both really enjoyed our drinks. For appetizers, we shared the wagyu gyoza and I also got a couple pieces of nigiri -- Hokkaido Hotate (scallop) and the otoro (fatty tuna belly). Yum! We both ordered sushi rolls (maki) for our mains. I got the Ro signature roll which has spicy tuna, avocado, and hamachi. My sis got the classic tempura shrimp roll topped with crispy potato chips which was a nice twist. We definitely got our sushi fix! The end of every meal comes with a complimentary sweet surprise and I'm so glad we saved just enough room for dessert. They make their own ice cream in-house and have fun rotating flavor combinations. I can't remember the exact flavor we had, but it had a passion fruit ganache on top with some crumble topping and it was phenomenal! Some of the best ice cream I've ever had. That alone is worth going back for.

We checked out a bunch of different restaurants, but they were all booked up. So, we ended up booking Wagamama for our dinner on Sunday night. After finding roadside parking near the restaurant, we checked in at the register and were shown to our table. Our server greeted us and provided us with menus. Following a discussion among ourselves and with our server, we began our order with a lychee martini and a coconut drift for drinks. For appetizers, we selected the Bang Bang Cauliflower, which our server highlighted as a very popular option, along with chicken pot stickers. For our main courses, we ordered the chicken pad Thai, Karage Chicken Strips for our toddler and the chicken firecracker dishes. Our drinks arrived first: a Lychee Martini and a Coconut Drift. The Lychee Martini contained a significant amount of vodka, so much that my spouse could only manage two sips. The Coconut Drift was better, but it still had an excessive amount of sugar. We got our Bang Bang Cauliflower appetizer. However, upon tasting it, we found it wasn't cooked properly. It tasted like they simply coated the cauliflower with sauce without properly cooking it. We were disappointed to have to return it. Following that, our chicken pot stickers arrived. The chicken pot stickers were just okay, without anything particularly noteworthy about them. They weren't even properly cooked around the edges. Both appetizers we ordered turned out to be disappointing. Our dinner arrived and included Pad Thai and Chicken Firecracker. Both dishes were just alright; they could have been better. Compared to how other reviews described them, they didn't live up to the expectations set by those reviews. We couldn't get the Chicken Karage Strips we wanted for dinner. We ended up having to comp the whole thing because even though the restaurant wasn't that full (only about 70-75% empty), we had to wait a super long time for the food to be ready. Our visit to Wagamama was so disappointing that we may not return. We were unhappy with the food, the service, and the atmosphere.

The fish was fresh and high quality, portions were generous, and everything tasted clean and well-balanced. It was very filling without feeling heavy, Easily one of the best poke-style bowls I've had in the area...would order this again without hesitation. My cousins had the Godzilla and Flaming Hot sushi burritos, it was packed with fresh fish and super filling not soggy or overstuffed. It's a great option if you want sushi that actually satisfies your hunger. The crab meat Rangoon had great flavor with a savory filling. A solid appetizer, especially if you're sharing. The ginger salad was the same size as a poke bowl for $5...it was light and refreshing. I enjoyed the ginger dressing. I've seen other reviews mention pricing, but I honestly found it very reasonable...actually cheaper than most sushi spots or even lunch prices around Westchase, with noticeably better-quality fish. The wait was about 15 minutes on a Saturday evening, which felt totally reasonable. It was a gorgeous night at Armature Works, so we ordered, walked around, and came back once we got the text that our food was ready. With all the large garage-style doors open, it was easy to explore the market hall and check out the other restaurants. Fun coincidence: I always order the Ocean Roll at Ocean Prime, which I consider the one of the best and crave worthy sushi in Tampa. I recently learned the owner of Zukku Sushi actually pioneered Ocean Prime's sushi menu! and it's still being served today after his departure. Getting that same level of freshness and quality here at about half the price makes this place an easy win. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.
