The owner is not upfront with regular customers. As a loyal patron, I was given a $10 gift card and told it could be used on any online order. When I asked if signing up would mean receiving promotional emails, I was assured that I wouldn't. However, both turned out to be false. The card isn't as flexible as I was told. It turns out there's a minimum purchase requirement to use the discount, but there's nothing on the card that mentions this. This is very misleading. I initially thought it was a gift for being a regular customer, but instead, it came with unexpected restrictions. The discount is only available if you agree to receive constant promotional emails, something the owner should have been upfront about from the start. Customers deserve transparency and should know exactly what they're signing up for. After this experience, I no longer feel comfortable supporting this business. I am getting promotional emails everyday and I didn't complete the order. If I try to unsubscribe, it doesn't work.

I stopped in dinner (3pm) yesterday. Believe it or not that is my usual dinner time. Their were a handful of customers seated at various booths and tables. Parking is easy and plentiful enough. Howard's does a lot of takeout business so parking is always available. The interior is sleek, modern and clean. Seating is limited. It is really designed for takeout.I ordered the ALL BERRY Smoothie (blue, straw and raspberry) ($7.99). I loved it. For the main course, I ordered, the lamb kabob ($14.99). It come with a salad consisting of lettuce, diced onion and tomato and other greens, and pita bread cut into wedges. The flavors were bold and tastefully seasoned. In the past I have paid more for an equally prepared dish. Howard's has an extensive menu. An accomplished chef and a staff and management that understands hospitality.

Amazing and hearty brunch food! I also liked the clean and airy ambience inside. And the added touch was relatively quick service. All in all, I recommend!

Occupying the space on Changebridge Road in Montville most recently occupied by Seymour's Cafe, Howard's Med Cafe offers a good variety of tasty, fast casual options that should appeal to everyone. The menu is generally similar to Seymour's Cafe, with weekend brunch -- omelettes, pancakes, and waffles -- served all-day, wraps, paninis, sandwiches, burgers, and salads and a good selection of smoothies, shakes, and baked goods, but also features Mediterranean favorites like falafel, lamb / beef / chicken gyros, and beef / chicken kebabs. The casual ambiance is unchanged and the service seems to have gotten a little more consistent. I opted for the Falafel Hummus Platter ($11), consisting of a generous portion of falafel balls, hummus, and chopped salad served with a grilled pita. My dining companion opted for the Avocado Toast Platter ($9), consisting of smashed avocado served with two fried eggs atop multigrain toast. My dining companion enjoyed her Avocado Toast very much and I thought the Falafel Hummus platter was tasty. That said, the falafel seemed to be previously prepared rather than made-from-scratch, but I might be wrong. Howard's is a little out of the way for us, but we'd give it another shot for lunch next time we're in the area.

What a great find for us! We had to throw a bridal shower and wanted the cuisine to be Mediterrean. We found Howard's and couldn't have been happier. We are vegan and although there aren't any "vegan" items on the menu (we hope they will add some) we were able to alter some of the vegetarian items to meet our needs. We bought mostly non-vegan dishes and our guests loved everything. The service was super friendly and accommodating. Karim was an absolute pleasure to work with. The store is super cute and the menu is large so there are lots of options to choose from. We highly recommend Howard's. We will definitely be ordering from them again.

We have ordered takeout a few times and have found the food very fresh, hot, and satisfying. The Falafel has great in texture, but falls a little flat on taste (could use some more garlic or other seasoning). I ordered the chicken gyro and onion rings for my entree. It was a healthy portion and onion rings where light and not greasy.

As the name suggests, it's a barn-themed, locally owned restaurant that is well known for its brunch. We were seated on one side of the restaurant where the walls were covered with rustic tin signs, famous sayings, and funny quotes. The whole atmosphere felt like stepping into a cozy countryside diner from the 1980s. After settling in, we ordered: * Thick French Toast - Delicious and very filling. * Lamb Gyro Omelette - Easily the star of the meal. A solid 5/5. It came with pita bread on the side and a thick, crispy hash brown. * Tuna Sandwich - Nothing extraordinary, just a decent tuna sandwich. * Coffee The food was excellent, and the overall Memorial Day brunch experience was wonderful. I would definitely come back again for both the food and the friendly service.

We fell in love with Birchwood Manor the first time we visited 2 years ago as the first person we…read moremet with was Michael Marino, who was so warm and welcoming from the beginning. Since then, we've worked with Michael on planning our wedding and he was so great to work with. He was easy to communicate with, super energetic and full of positive energy throughout the planning, and very informative. We wanted our dogs in the ceremony a lower guest minimum for fear that less people at the time would attend due to covid and Michael quickly accommodated our requests, no questions asked! Our wedding was 10/14/23 and Farrell was our maitre'd. After getting home, my matron of honor, brother in law and mom had nothing but AMAZING things to say about Farrell. According to my mom, Farrell saw my grandpa had trouble with his boutonniere and she, without us asking, started helping him and all the other groomsmen clip them on. She worked with my husband on getting a little last-minute seating mishap resolved (we had some unplanned guests who had initially rsvp'd no and showed up). She was so good with children as our flower girl and flower boy/ring bearer were 4 and 7 and she interacted with them and helped show them what to do at the ceremony. Our day of coordinator unfortunately had an emergency and was not there part of the wedding but Farrell really took over and checked in on us constantly and took charge of the day. My matron of honor said Farrell was so nice and reliable and amazing at her job. Going back to the wedding, our guests couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous the venue was, down to the chandeliers in the ballroom. Our wedding was unfortunately outdoors but Birchwood was so accommodating with allowing us to use the Grand Ballroom for the ceremony as the reception was already set up elsewhere. We upgraded the cocktail hour to deluxe and with both my husband and I being from Chinese families with high expectations in regards to seafood, the lobster tails were gone instantly as our guests loved them so much. People raved about how good the cocktail hour was, including the carving station and shrimp scampi station. The ice sculpture was a beautiful and elegant touch. All in all, we and our guests had nothing but an amazing time at Birchwood. We have nothing but positive experiences through our 2 years of wedding planning. Thank you Michael and Farrell and Birchwood Manor for helping us plan our wedding and make our wedding day visions really come to life!

Choosing from a couple of dozen enticing choices wasn't easy; I went with a Mexican omelette. Served with pretty good home fries and very lightly buttered rye toast, I couldn't finish it. The scone was a bit dry and hard and didn't give the flare of flavor I was hoping for-- I'd ordered a Mexican chocolate scone and wanted to taste deep smoky chocolate and spice. The flavor was much milder and middle of the road. I saved most of it but ate it over the next couple days. Tasted better once the flavors set in I guess. The coffee was just aiight though.
