When your refrigerator breaks it's the worst thing that can happen as everything melts and spoils. Luckily, I work in a small company with the pretty empty fridge that I was able for a while. George Moawad was very helpful. My wife and I didn't come to our purchasing decision until close to next day delivery cut-off time, but George was able to get our order in and we got our new fridge the very next day! We looked around Home Depot and Lowes and found a few fridges we liked. Prices from these place and Howards are comparable but the biggest problem with them was that they do not deliver quick enough. Deliveries and haul aways are cheap or free at HD and Lowes, Howards charged us $60 which I found odd for an appliance company. We went ahead and got our fridge from Howards because we cannot be out of a fridge for 2 weeks so $60 delivery it is. read more

I remembered my Dad bought our first colored TV 30+ years ago at Howard's. It was a big deal for my siblings and I moving on up from the 14" black and white to 19" colored TV. The last two weeks I have searched everywhere in store and online for the GE side by side counter depths refrigerator. Everywhere was out of stock. Home Depot might be able to deliver two months out!! My husband reminded me try Howard's. OMG they have lots of selections and the GE refrigerator I was looking for is in stock for the same price listed at Best Buy, Home Depot, Costco, and Lowe's. And Howard's pays back sales tax. I want everyone to know Rudy who was my sales representative immediately corrected the error and got my appliances delivered the same day that they were supposed to deliver. We ordered full bundle of appliances from Irvine store. They attempted to deliver only half of the product after multiple follow ups. One of the items was much inferior model than what we paid for. The other item was dented. When requested return, they resisted and asked for huge restocking fees. for the remaining items, they provided a new delivery dates which was more than 3 months than the original delivery date without any fixed ETA. When we requested to cancel the order we didn't get any answer from them and they seemed to get away with the guaranteed refund period. All in all worst possible experience ruined our excitement moving to a new house. I repainted a lot that why I visited this store when I have many national compiting brands around. read more

It's sad that my account was deleted along with all my years of reviews. So I start anew and have to sadly repost this. Long overdue review from Dec 2019. I came into this store after a long day of work and was immediately ignored and then mistreated once I decided to stay by JPH or John H. I was originally helped by Carlos P. from the Howard's in Hungtinton Beach and stopped by the Irvine location to complete my order since it was closer to my work. JP treated me poorly and actually didn't even want to provide any customer service whatsoever. He acted as if I was not making any sense and told me I should just go back to the other store. I was just about coerced into leaving thinking I was in the wrong but decided to get a hold of Carlos before I left. He reassured me as he had already confirmed prior, that I could stop by any Howard's location to complete orders. I decided not to walk out of the store and asked JP to, again, please check my order in which he still acted as if I was being completely bogus and out there. But I tried again and asked him to call Carlos from the other store, and only then was he starting to turn a different face .. however, not to me, but to Carlos over the phone. He was quite pleasant and let Carlos know that he'd complete the order. But once off the phone, JP wouldn't even speak directly to me but called upon another worker to help. Every other associate was busy with customers except for JP, yet he still called upon someone else to help me. Luckily, George M. was extremely nice and helpful. He immediately acknowledged me and let me know he'd help me as soon as he was done with his current customer. 100% JP's mistreatment of me was intentional, unsure if it was age or racially motivated but, indeed, it was intentional. I left happy because of the encounter with George, but after a moment to process the earlier events, I was teary eyed. It is not often that I feel such blunt mistreatment based on no real reason other than my age or ethnicity. Despite being patient and polite, I was ignored; and once forced to deal with my presence, I was made to feel inferior, wrong and illogical. You've lost a customer in me Howard's for not rectifying this, or if it was rectified, I was not made aware (and for going the extra mile of having my Yelp account deleted). I did call into Howard's customer service line and let the rep know what had occurred but I did not get a follow up of whether or not this situation and possible future events such as this one would not happen anymore. I do hope that the good salespersons such as Carlos and George do get proper recognition and compensation for their fine display of customer service as well as I can't remember her name, it was either Maryann or Mary Ellen. She was the first person who so welcomely greeted me when I entered a Howard's for the first time (in Huntington Beach). But I think she said it was her first day/week of working so she did not have a business card. But she made sure to give her boss info on all the appliances I was interested in. His name is Al G., he gave me the quotes thru email which was possible because I had given Mary(Ann/Ellen) my contact info. The next time I came back, I saw Carlos P. who was very helpful and friendly. He helped me complete my order from the emailed quotes I handed to him and he made sure to give credit to the person who originally helped me. Only after the order was complete did I look more thoroughly at the paperwork/receipts to see that Al G. got the credit and not Mary(). Al does deserve some credit for sending out the emails but Mary() deserves much credit too. If not for her welcoming greeting I may not have made my purchase at Howard's at all. But with that said I still cannot recommend Howard's due to my soured experience with John H. (JPH) read more

Rudy approached us and directed us in the right direction. He was very knowledgeable on the models we were interested in and told is to us to take our time to look around without being intrusive. Prices at Howard's are very competitive with Best BUY and Home Depot but you cannot beat the service Rudy provided. We could not find anyone to help us at those other stores. Current pandemic has slowed everything down, especially shipping & receiving goods from overseas. Ordering and receiving products quickly are not going to be easy during this time. Right now, finding anything that is in stock will only be your option if you're crunched in for time. Luckily, Estephanie was able to locate and find me Kitchenaid appliances that were in stock (dish washer & gas cook top) and got them delievered the very next day! I got my wall oven delivered the following week rather than waiting for months out. Also Dawn was very helpful wrapping up my purchase while Estephanie was on her lunch break. She looked through my purchases and gave me all the possible information on rebates. She was very helpful. After everything was said and done, I was getting back about $700 (with manufacturers rebate & store rebate). Their expertise in knowledge of their products and service was the reason why I went to Howard's to purchase my appliances and it was a great shopping experience for me. We bought a refrigerator from Howard's in Westminster within the past year. Recently the fridge had almost stopped making ice cubes, which was all the more frustrating given the high heat and humidity we experienced during the summer. A repair man examined our machine and found a glitch in the ice making mechanism. We come to find out that the company cannot fix this mechanism. However, we then received a call from Dawn at the Tustin store who reviewed our options moving forward. This week, we will receive a replacement refrigerator and a warranty that is pro-rated from our current one, costing us no additional money. We really appreciated Dawn's level of customer service, her willingness to answer all of our questions, and ultimately to resolve our situation to our satisfaction. First use of the dishwasher this morning was a fail. Cant imagine such a noise from any appliance. Anyway, having bought from them in the past ( cooktop, double wall oven, massive fridge, washer dryer) it is time to see them once again. Supply constraints abound now but both Dino Silva and Toussaint Brown went beyond the call of duty to find us one that would satisfy our particular needs. Issue still has not been resolved. The 3rd party delivery company that Howard's uses was supposed to get me a claim number for there insurance and still nothing. They are saying they feel that the fault lies with Howard's but will have an insurance claim. Howard's is blaming them. No one is taking responsibility for the damage done to my house through their negligence. read more

Howard's was a breath of fresh air. After Best Buy delivered a stove that was extremely damaged (which took over a week to deliver) and then took weeks to get a new one (plus many, many phone calls with long wait times), we knew not to go back to them for our washer and dryer. So we went to Home Depot. After waiting forever to be helped one night we finally went to make the purchase and found out the items were out of stock. We were told we'd get a call in the morning to see if they could source new products and we never received a call. So we turned to Howard's. We live in Costa Mesa/Newport area so it was slightly out of our way but worth the extra five minutes in the car. In fact, it would have been worth an hour based on the horrible experiences we'd had with other companies. Howard's had a ton of inventory, the prices were better, they greeted us at the door, they were very attentive and the individual who helped us, Estafani, was really on top of her game - she had all the answers, moved fast and was so professional. We purchased the washer and dryer on a Thursday night and they were available to deliver on Saturday. The pedestals were not available until the end of the month and Estafani said she'd call us when they came in. Well she called, they came in early and they were installed the next day. She also guided us though the rebate process. No fault of Estafani's but this has been the only unpleasant process. All three rebates I submitted came back needing more information/updated invoice images. It's a pain, it takes time and I'm sure the companies make it hard so you give up and don't claim the rebate, but don't give up, claim the darn rebates. Once resolved, she told me the range had gone on sale a week after it was purchased. I received the differential amount. Went back into Howard's for the Labor Day sale.
