He said he would order the parts which would take 5 days to receive, and that the bill all together would be a bit over $700, less the $100 service fee. I thought that was absurd considering my fridge is only 2 yrs old, so I opted to pay the service fee and get a second opinion. Yuri was very polite, and said of course no problem , and left. Then I called Coast Appliance Services, who came to my home about and hour later. Within 5 minutes, he explained that I had a loose fan, he tightened some screws and the noise was GONE. They didn't even charge me. Now - I am going to take the high road and assume that Yuri was not trying to scam me- and that it is more likely that he is just inexperienced in the repair field ( he was very young) and truly did not know what was going on. Perhaps he quoted me that high because he didn't want the job not knowing how to fix it. I don't know, but ultimately, it took an ethical, seasoned repairman to tell me my fan was loose. I gave 2 stars because he tried and was very polite.

At one point, my husband went to the store in person and found it closed. A service visit was eventually scheduled. I made sure someone was home and paid for the service, but no one showed up. After going in person and speaking with the service coordinator, we were given another day and time. Again, the technician did not arrive as promised and ultimately showed up hours later with the wrong address. After the visit, when we ran the dishwasher, water spilled onto the floor. We were told they would need to return again. This entire experience occurred while the appliance was under guarantee. Clear communication, honoring scheduled appointments, and properly completing service would have made a significant difference. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and improves its customer service and follow-through.
