yesterday I just bought one washing machine from this store. the price is super economical after I compared the same model price in Bestbuy , lowes , the home depot , etc. Most of all , the service the store clerk provided to me is really comfortable. I met David Yousefi, the assistant store manager. Not only he explained the product situation and my questions very detailed and friendly , but also he is working diligently to solve the problem I met in the purchase. I have to say the order experience with this agent is very pleasant and makes me very satisfied. The previous delivery experience was offset by a satisfactory explanation of circumstances. I demanded, and received an explanation of how it came to be that a scheduled delivery could be ignored by the delivery team out in the field. The delivery team out in the field did indeed have our dryer on their manifest for that day, they simply didn't have a dryer to deliver. Naturally they returned to their home base with an empty truck thinking they had completed their daily mission. Turns out the dryer was at the wrong warehouse, a simple logistical error. The dryer was delivered two days later, and in hindsight, it all worked out. I have to say that there was excellent communication about the situation from the Howard's location, the Customer Service Department, and the Delivery Dispatch manager. All of these employees worked hard to make it right, and the circumstances are understandable. I would have felt bad for the delivery team had they arrived that first day, those guys work in excess of 12 hour days starting with the loading of their trucks, to completion of deliveries, and then they have to deal with traffic getting back to Pico Rivera. SCAM!! DO NOT GO HERE. I bought a refrigerator over the phone, paid with my debit card, it was to be delivered in 3 days. In addition to the price of the refrigerator, I paid $39.95 to haul away the old one. This is typical that old appliances are hauled away. Some big companies haul away for free but all give the option to haul away the old one. So the delivery people come out 5 hours earlier than they were supposed to and then say they could not haul away the refrigerator after all...something about it contaminating their truck?? 6 people live there and have been using that 30 year old refrigerator so it was not "contaminated". Customer service was a joke, no one has called me back. We are left with our old refrigerator with everything removed and now we have to start over again to buy another one. This WAS DELIBERATE. They had no intention of hauling away the old one. It would cost us $200 to have some company come out and haul it away. This is a SCAM to make it look like they have lower prices. I have not gotten my money back either, over $1200. read more

Buyers beware. Purchased appliances there on 02/01/20 and 2 of the items we bought are not delivered. Looked at BBB to look for rating, somehow, it defaults to La Habra location. I looked at the complaint records of this location and the same issue we are having at the Jamboree location came up multiple times. It appears it is not isolated to the Jamboree location, it maybe spread out to all locations. Their BBB rating is D minus, 16 complaints filed in the last 3 years, 6 complaints just last year, some resolved issues, some went unanswered. I looked at dca - bureau of household goods and looked for the license to the Irvine location - does not show up. Only shows Santa Ana 2x. I don't know if they have a license to sell. I sought assistance from BBB. Will see if arbitration resolves this. We paid approximately $1800 for the 2 items. I understand about the whole COVID issue, but we are also hardworking people. The company should not deceive its customers. UPDATE 09/04/20 Spoke to Dawn today and the latest story we have is that miraculously the 2 items we have been waiting for has arrived and will be delivered tomorrow 09/05/20. We were told this before many times. Even their Manager gave this assurance last month...and nothing. I told her I will believe when I see it. I told her they lie and she said they are not lying and have no control when the manufacturer would ship- for 7 months??? If this company responds to this saying to contact customer service to make it right. We've done that already. We even have a call log on the phone to show them how many times we've called. This company is 100% employee owned. It works if the people who work there are honest and not motivated by greed just to make a sale. Who is checking on them to actually do an honest job? There's a reason why this company choose to not be accredited by BBB. The company will deceive you. What would the original owner think if he were here now that this company turned out like this? We were in search of a new range and microwave, and the Assistant Manager, Brian Grinnell, was amazing. He guided us to options to fit our space and taste, and provided great customer service. The range was on backorder due to the backlog of production from Covid. But, Brian kept us in the loop on when we could expect delivery. If any issue arises, they are quick to resolve, and want to make sure you are happy with your purchase. I have purchased all of my major appliances from Howard's, and will continue to do so. We LOVE our new gas range and microwave. I highly recommend Howard's. read more

On April 16th, 2020 I went to Howards to purchase a new washer and dryer. I called and spoke to George a salesman. George showed me the top of the line LG front loaders. In order to fit my "budget" he showed me the last years LG model in stainless steel. We finalized the sale and delivery was scheduled for Saturday 4/18. George said that I would receive a call from the installation department on Friday 4/17 evening with a time window. I never received a call! I called the store but George was off on vacation until Tuesday 4/21. I could not wait for George until Tuesday so I went into the store and spoke to John the manager. He said he told George that the washing machine was out of stock and to call me to let me know. George never called. I was very upset as I desperately needed the machines to do my laundry. John the manager apologized and said what he could do is upgrade me to the Electrolux front loader's. I said alright that would be great and delivery would occur the next day on Sunday 4/19. On Sunday the installation went very wrong! First the machines were being stacked and the washer door was on the wrong side to open from left to swing out to the right. The Dryer door was installed correctly. I asked the installation men (2 guys) to reverse the door for me. They refused and said that the store salesman (George) was supposed to ask me which direction I needed the door to swing open and change if necessary at the store prior to delivery. George never asked me, George never advised me that I would need to have a washing machine drain pan installed prior to the installation. Howards does not install washer drain pan's. I called the manager (John) to tell him that I would hire a plumber to replace the washer drain pan but I needed Howards to send a service guy to reverse the washer door to open from left to swing out to the right. The manager had George call back only to tell me that it was going to cost $130.00 service call when I already purchased a three year extended warranty on both machines at the time of purchase. I called John back the store manager and insisted that Howards is responsible for reversing the door on the washer at no charge. He said "let me call my service department." On Monday 4/27 the service department called to confirm my appointment. Howards sent him to my former address in Aliso Viejo! I moved into this property on 4/11 in Tustin. Service department had to re-schedule for Tuesday 4/28 after I explained that the powder coating on the metal box threads needed to be tapped out. The screws would only turn 1/4" of a turn before stopping. Today the service department finally arrived with the correct tools and finally my washer door is now correct opening from left to swing out to the right. I am in sales as a career and I must say this customer experience has been horrible. I will never purchase from Howards again. They need to serve and inform their customers with the correct information. From the point of purchase provide care and service if they want to retain their customer base. Avoid HOWARDS at all costs and save yourself a lot of frustration and time wasted. read more

He worked extra hard to ensure my satisfaction and get me a good deal. I ended up buying from somewhere else as they outsource their warranty plans. I was looking for a commercial washer and dryer for my hair salon, and stopped at Howard's. They had a floor model for a good price so I made the purchase on Monday. At the time of the sale, I was told they could not deliver next day, as their advertising claims, but could deliver it on Wednesday instead. Ok, not ideal, but I could work with that. I never received any confirmation of a delivery Tuesday night as I was told to expect. Wednesday morning I called the customer service line. I was told that the delivery would be on Thursday. I told them I was clear that this is a business that relies on this appliance and I need to have it Wednesday, as promised in the contract. It was told sorry nothing we can do. I called the store to see what was going on, and the person I talked to said he would try to get delivery today, but he couldn't promise anything. Ok, great, lets see what can be done. He said he'd call me back. I have now gotten an automated phone call and an email saying it will be delivered tomorrow. No call from the store, as promised, to discuss progress on the problem. TL;DR - Promised delivery date was changed. No notification to me about the change. When I called to sort it out, I was promised a call back. No call back. Now I have to rearrange my schedule tomorrow for their convenience. The customer communication can really use a lot of work. read more

We needed a new microwave (above stove) and contacted a few places (e.g. Home Depot, Lowe's, etc) they all cited us at least 2 weeks for delivery. We contacted Howards (Irvine - off Jamboree in the marketplace) and they said they could do delivery within 2-3 business days. Upon arriving at the store, we met Dawn C. who was incredibly friendly, helpful, and really informative and not in the slightest way pushy at all - just great to work with. She helped us choose a new microwave and upon noting it was a few minutes to 5 pm (which was the cut-off time to get delivery within 48 hours...we were there on a Thursday afternoon and hoped for delivery by Saturday), she rushed to the computer, called the delivery team, and made sure we got in for Saturday. Overall, we had a great experience, Dawn was wonderful to work with, and we will plan to return next time we need an appliance. read more

I went to Howard's to purchase a new refrigerator and microwave for one of my rentals. The refrigerator was urgent as the old one had stopped working and not worth repairing. I needed a special size counter depth and it was on back order for 8-12 weeks everywhere. My salesman, whose name escapes me, and not only did they sale me the floor model (it was brand new) they even discounted it 25%. The next day it was delivered and installed. The subcontractor who the use, I believe their name was Pro Installers, were quick, clean and efficient. Nice job Howard's! read more

I purchased a refrigerator from George the salesman. It was very helpful and able to accommodate my delivery needs as best as he could. I had problems with the refrigerator. Upon contacting the manager Dino, he immediately rectify the situation and got somebody to come out verify that there was a problem and got a new delivery of the refrigerator ASAP. The second and third delivery drivers were very professional but see comments below about the first. However the delivery company needs to be fired. The delivery driver that came out was not very happy that I redirected him to the back alley so that he could come through a sliding glass door rather than the front door. I also commented that I did not receive my 20 minutes heads up as he says that they did call me. So while I was emptying the refrigerator and freezer he move furniture out of the way and cleared his own path. Upon completion of the delivery I noticed that there was damage to the floor. He immediately called his dispatcher we took pictures and they have since denied the claim. read more

No return of phone call from customer service who promised to update yesterday which didn't happen of course. Ok, had to call customer service over and over to ask for update. Kept telling me they just changed their system. Exactly same excuse worded "Our system just changed a few days ago" weeks ago from sales to customer services weeks later. When asked for return and refund, then dead silence and no update. They don't care about customers. Be cautious to buy from this company. Will keep update my rest of experience of the refund process. I have been purchasing all of my appliances from the Laguna Hills Howard's store for over 20 years. They sold us a refrigerator that the salesman (Amit Angrish) was aware would not fit in the space allotted. When we went back to replace the refrigerator with a model that would fit, they expected us to share in the re-stocking fee and delivery/installation fee. They are no longer willing to make the customer the priority when their employees make an error. They are selling products and have an expected knowledge of the appliances that they are recommending. Naren (manager) and Robert (asst manager) are no help and only looking to nickel and dime their customers. They continued to discuss "round" numbers when I asked repeatedly for the full cost and, of course, the total cost came out more than they were discussing. Time to close the chapter on Howards Laguna Hills being a neighborhood store for the community. read more

Our Microwave oven went out and of course my wife can't cook without it. Lol So I know there's lots of Big Box stores that sell them. But I didn't want to go there. I wanted a place that specialized in appliances , plus it was getting late. Got to Howard's with only 20 min to closing. Fortunately we found one in stock and the nice guys got it for us and even though it was closing time managed to override the system that had already been shut down to ring it up. Then on delivery day the store manager Nareen call us makes 100 excuses and says we're 3 weeks out on our delivery. He never accepted any responsibility. If you are the store owner this guy is costing you money. I will Never use them. Matter of fact if I had a choice of going back to that store to buy a stove or cooking over a bbq using my life savings as fuel I would prefer the bbq. Short story don't waste your time. I had ordered a washer and dryer from Home Depot in early August and because of several back orders I had to cancel the order ... which led me to Howard's. George was friendly, patient and informative. He allowed my wife and I to browse comfortably, and also answered all of our questions.
