12" Bee Me Up Scotty Chicken Tenders Sea
    Meredith S.

Howells is one of our favorite neighborhood spots. We love coming on Tuesdays for their "Pie & Vine" ($20 pizza and house wine special). Their Bee Me Up Scotty and Smash Burgers are some of our favorites that keep us coming back for more. But we love trying their monthly specials too. Love sitting out on their patio. Have to plan for a relaxed dining experience. Takeout might be for you if you are in a hurry!

Pizza with pepperoni; goat cheese, and honey

I stopped in here for late lunch on sunday with my son. Service was awful. From what i can see, the restaurant was fairly empty but everything was so slow. I had to ask for someone to take our order. And same for getting the check. When the check came, i immediately put my card in and the server still didn't return in a timely manner to pick it up. The food was fine. I got the pizza with pepperoni, goat cheese, and honey- it was a bit overly crispy for my taste. My son's pepperoni pizza was pretty good. Overall, the service does not make me want to return.

    Morning Glory Pizza

Service was a little slow but the waiter was attentive and helpful. The inside is very modern and the booth where we sat was near the patio. The patio looks like it would be nice on a warm day but today was to cold. The parking lot was full due to construction so it took a while to find a spot. I tried the shrimp and grits, man mosa, ice toddy, chicken fingers, morning glory pizza, and the ice tea. I recommend the drinks, morning glory pizza (with pepper and salt) , and chicken fingers. As for the shrimp it came out overcooked. The sauce was great and the grits, not as creamy as I wanted them to be. Ranch sauce is also a nice touch and I was thankful to the waiter who gave my daughter options without being asked too. I don't know if I would come back but this wasn't bad. I'm just not sure what I'm interested in trying next.

I was brought here on a lunch date and was not disappointed for a first try. Parking can be ehhh but we found a spot in the conjoining parking lot that could be validated for 2 hours. Warning, you must start the parking session and then get the code to comp. the time. Of course, I'm going to get straight into the drinks + food because that's what we are all here for! :) To start, drinks: White Sangria: 7/10 (not super potent but the flavor was nice, sweet, and almost creamy as if a nectar or natural purer was used) Rosemary Paloma: 2/10 (now this was strong which I don't mind, but there were no real notes of rosemary or grapefruit. Almost like a club soda) Georgia Peach Mojito: 6/10 Love that it was a natural peach flavor versus a thick syrupy additive but nothing special Now on to the food which was where they shined more in my option: 1. Sunday Breakfast Plate (scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, chicken sausage, and a biscuit): 7/10 2. Crispy Brussel Sprouts: 11/10 (THAT MISO SAUCE WAS PERFECT AND HAD SUCH A RICH UMAMI FLAVOR PROFILE) 3. French Fries and Housemade Ranch: 9/10 the ranch was stellar and so tangy 4. Red Fish Ala Plancha: 8/10 ( The fish and potatoes could have a bit more seasoning and I believe even doing it as a whole fish would add the flavor back in) 5. Fettuccini Alfredo w/ Fried Chicken: 7/10 (I love the texture of the noodles and the creaminess of the sauce but needed some seasoning. Also was a fan of the light breading on the chicken) All in all, will return to try more but seems a little seasoning might go a long way to make it a repeat in my arsenal. Hope to see you soon Howell!

Mango Margarita(sans spicy) and Old Fashion

Stopped in on Saturday after a few hours at Bobby Jones. We must have been the first few customers for dinner service, we were seated quickly. Big shout out to Josh, our server-he is fantastic! So patient and considerate with our first time questions. Started w cocktails: Mango Margarita(sans spicy), and an Old Fashion. The smoked mozzarella sticks were a hit with our teen! The smash burger and tavern burger were also very good. BYO Pizza was decent, a lil pricey when you add up the $3 per item charges. Save room for the chocolate lava cake! So good, not overly sweet..perfect! We loved our first time experience and will be back to enjoy the spacious patio area.

Great place to sit and eat dinner with friends! If you're in the mood for a classic North American gastropub environment with solid food this is the place for you, ample seating and good options. I liked the pho egg rolls! A different (larger) take on a classic spring roll. I also enjoyed the salmon here! Nice and tender, juicy, over a bed of curry-like sauce with veggies (to make you feel healthier)

First time checking out Howell's Kitchen and Bar. We came for brunch to celebrate my mom. The interior is beautiful. Very spacious and open. Our server Dre was great. My family is full of talkers and Dre did a great job of popping in to be helpful while being respectful of our conversations. The food was really good. I enjoyed the hangover hash. Could've used a little ore flavor but it was still good. The espresso martini was great. The bread pudding with the ice cream was the highlight of the meal. Dense, moist and full of flavor.

Clicker chicken was fantastic sandwich with good amount of slaw. Very important to me! We come to this place all the time and the service, food, ambiance is great. Outside courtyard area with fans and tvs is fantastic for summer time. The pizza is always hitting the spot I usually get that and this time we got calamari. I was very impressed- the batter or breading is crispy and cooked to perfection. They did change parking so you need to get it validated because it will cost a few dollars if you do not. They will give you a code at the hostess stand

The food was very great and fresh . We got a server very quickly and were able to order food in a moderate time . They have lovely dine in and out location great for family and pet friendly.

    Philly cheesesteak pizza
    Timia W.

I'm writing this review for the pizza and the pizza only!!! OMG the Philly cheesesteak pizza is the BEST pizza I've had probably in my life. The flavors were so unique (there's spicy mayo drizzled on top) and blended together so well. It was light and refreshing but still filling. Creamy as well. I had to go back 2 days later to have it again. This was a seasonal pizza but I pray to the Heavens above that they make this a regular menu item. The service was also great and I enjoyed the atmosphere in the building. Quiet and slightly cozy but still spacious.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this business yet! I've been to Howell's numerous times and every visit has been pleasant. Ironically, the last time I had food from there was after ordering via UberEats so these are the only pics I have for now. The menu consists of elevated bar food and delicious pizzas, beyond your ordinary options. The cocktail menu is also well thought out. For my delivery order, I kept it simple with a Caesar salad, mozzarella sticks, and chicken tenders. I always come here for my mozzarella stick fix because I like the slight smoky flavor and how these are more like logs than little sticks. Really, all the food is solid. And I love the ambiance...not too stuffy but far from a hole in the wall. And everyone's been super friendly every time I've been here.

    Tavern Burger
    Presley B.

I went to Howell's for lunch while I was in town and had a great experience! I got the chicken cordon blue pizza which was on special, my sister got the herb grilled chicken, and my friend got the Tavern burger. All of the food was delicious and very well priced. The total for my meal after tax was $13, it is so rare to find a well portioned lunch for under twenty dollars. Additionally, our server was very attentive while not being overly imposing. I would highly recommend this place for a quiet, affordable lunch.

As we approached the restaurant, we noticed the parking lot was very small. Thankfully, they offer overflow parking nearby--located by the McDonald's and the post office. We had to do a quick U-turn when leaving the main lot, then made a left toward the overflow area. It's just a short walk from there to the restaurant. From the lot, the door we saw looked more like a side entrance, but we gave it a try and were able to walk right in. Inside, we were a little confused about where to check in, but we eventually found the host stand located near the center of the space, close to the bar. I let the hostess know I had a reservation for 11:30. Although we arrived about 30 minutes late, she was incredibly accommodating, acknowledged the reservation, and led us through the dining room. We were stopping in for a quick bite before heading to a beer festival and requested an outdoor table. They had plenty of patio seating with a well-thought-out layout. We were seated in a great spot--ample shade provided by a large umbrella, perfect for the warm day. Our server, Brandon W., greeted us promptly and gave us time to look over the menu. He mentioned he'd be happy to answer any questions we had. The drink menu featured several specialty cocktails, an unexpectedly solid beer selection, and some creative food options. Wifey ordered the Margherita pizza and a Howell's Lager, brewed by SweetWater. We ended up sharing the lager since we knew there were more beers to come later . I went with the Clucker Chicken Sandwich, sweet potato fries, and a water. The food came out quickly. My sandwich was delicious--crispy chicken, great flavor from the mayo-mustard blend, and nice texture from the slaw. The sweet potato fries were nice and crunchy. Wifey really enjoyed her pizza--the crust was crisp and well-executed. Brandon W. was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and clearly knew the menu well. He made sure we were well taken care of from start to finish. We will definitely return to Howell's to try some other menu items.

The only positive part of the afternoon was being seated a few minutes before our reservation time. After that, everything went downhill. We waited approximately 10 minutes just to receive water, and then another 15 minutes before our server returned to take care of our table. Once we placed our order, the server had to return three separate times to verify what she had written down. We ordered two simple cocktails, yet one arrived as a shot instead of the drink ordered. We sent it back, only to watch the server bring the same drink back out and deliver it to the table behind us. After sitting there for roughly ten minutes, that family correctly informed the server it wasn't theirs. Rather than having a fresh drink prepared, the server simply picked it up, walked around the corner, and attempted to bring the exact same drink back to our table. At that point, we took the drink directly to the bar and requested that it be remade. The food itself was average at best. The mac and cheese was the only item that stood out in a positive way. Unfortunately, we weren't the only table experiencing problems. All three tables surrounding us appeared to be dealing with significant service issues of their own. A restaurant called "Southern Gentleman" should embody hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail. Our experience reflected none of those qualities. If you value your time, money, and family dining experience, I would strongly recommend choosing another restaurant in Buckhead. This establishment completely ruined what was supposed to be a pleasant Father's Day dinner.
