Our insurance company said call this company, they are next on the rotation list etc if we didn't know anyone to obtain an estimate for kitchen repair. Sure, guy came on a Wednesday. Told them WE want to see the estimate when it is ready. Thursday comes. Friday comes. Monday comes, nice phone call to the office first...just to let them know we are looking for the estimate. We are told he's off Friday and Mondays. Ok then, Tuesday comes and we call and are told he's not in office till 1030. So ok...we are more firm on phone. We want to see the estimate. A few hours later, an email Comes through that the estimate was given to the insurance company LAST WEEK???I called HP and asked them why they would submit something when we have not approved them as the contractors. "That's our policy". When we're we told that? NEVER. And why didn't the office staff know that? The two times we called? Why didn't the office know the estimate was sent over last week?? I AM the one approving the contractor, NOT the insurance company. This guy doesn't know that my whole family are contractors and I have been in the business my whole life!!!! (They are out of state now) so I am no idiot when it comes to this stuff and "policies". Call placed to insurance company, they never got an estimate. Final words from him "why does it matter"? This is the worst company I have ever encountered! Very unprofessional, My insurance referred me to them, nightmare! I still don't have a kitchen sink and my claim was filed in November. Here we are almost in June and all I have as of two weeks ago is the replacement cabinet. No sink, no granite, no dishwasher and they told me to pick out $11 granite when they charged my insurance $33 sq ft. The original granite cost more than $33 so obviously their estimator made a mistake. After cashing my deductible check in March they are suggesting I use a different contractor to finish the job. Originally they came out said they would rebuild the cabinet and use the original door fronts, I let them know that the door fronts were damaged and could not be used. Oh we didn't notice that, okay we will send another estimate to the insurance to replace all the cabinets. The insurance denied the claim so I let them know to just replace the island. Weeks go by then they say they will come over with samples. They say there is a delay in coming with the samples because the owner is having surgery and it will have to wait a week. Ok, that's fair, a week later the supervisor shows up (no owner) with nothing that matches my kitchen so he tells me to go to their business to pick out cabinets. I plan to go there that Friday, I get a call from the secretary, she tells me to go to Home Depot and pick out a new cabinet, So I did sent the information Hp Enterprises. Two weeks later I get a phonecall, which home depot they don't have your information. I explained I sent all the information in the email but here it is again. Finally cabinet ordered in March (yes, this claim occurred in November) then I get told the cabinet will take 12 weeks. Ok...Two weeks ago cabinet finally installed. Now I'm told to go pick out the granite top, we spend a couple hours downtown, picked out the granite. Guess what, last week get told they can't use that granite I need to go to a different store to pick out the granite. Yesterday, I'm told I picked out too expensive of granite. I'm now furious so I email the company. The owner Pat calls me this morning blames all the delays on insurance and now my fault with the granite. I can't believe this company is still in business. After reading all the negative comments I realize I'm not the only one with a horrible experience with this company, What recourse does the homeowner have in this nightmare? read more

I was referred to this company through my insurance company. I met the estimator, very nice guy. His name was Casey. He listened to me and my concerns. I asked him about some extras and gave me a separate bid. He was fast to get the info to my adjuster but the wait was a little long to start. I waited just over 2 weeks from signing up. My adjuster said it was normal in the industry. The reviews were not great but I wanted to have the reassurance from the insurance company that I was getting a good company and cannot always rely on why a person is complaining. They started my repairs on May 15 and were done in about 3 weeks so just last week. I had flooring, cabinet repairs, painting and baseboard work done. It was a simple job for them and they did a good job. I would use again and am glad I was referred to them. HP Enterprises was contracted through my home owners insurance to repair the damage caused by a leak. There were 2 phases of work completed. The first team came in and did the initial removing of ceiling and drying out any dampness. Jeffery Harper and the crew were very professional and prompt. All questions were addressed during this phase. The 2nd phase was the repairing and painting. This crew arrived on time, were professional. Marco and Mike were great. They were so nice! They had so much patience with me addressing any concerns and answering any questions I asked. Guy was also really good at addressing my concerns and explaining everything that was getting done. Recommended by my insurance agent and gave two stars because I was happy with their work. Just make sure everything is written down and if you add extras, make sure they give you a price ahead of time. At the end of job I was given an extra invoice for $1,810.00 for my additional work: 2 pendant lights (install only), plug and switch $725; lower vent pipe plumbing $275; patch approximately 1' x 1' drywall and paint $550; $260 Overhead and Profit. Shouldn't the vent pipe have been included in original estimate .... No changes by us and a vent pipe was already there. Patching drywall for $550 ?? Had wall patched and painted behind washer and dryer (6' x 4') eighteen months ago for under $200. Overhead and profit .... By the ridiculous cost of the drywall patch I would say profit was already covered! read more

HP Enterprises was recommended by Farmers Insurance. I was told they were a preferred contractor for them for many years and would do the job for the approved estimate the insurance company gave me and that they would deal with them directly instead of with me. My kitchen was destroyed by water and they did all the rebuilding or subcontracted it out and GC'd it. This included dry wall, ceiling repair, baseboard, countertops, backsplash, cabinets, electrical and plumbing. Oh, and painting. They were here all the time making sure things were done properly. I am not an easy going client and I asked a million questions and was always home during the work. They were so patient with me. Guy was the greatest. He and Pat were very reassuring when I worried the entire time that I was going to make a huge mistake. The kitchen came out more beautiful than I could ever have imagined. read more

Please stay away from using HP enterprise. They are very unprofessional, pricey and they won't give you a quality work. Don't ever let your insurance refer you to them you will develop high BP due to there unprofessionalism. I had a terrible experience using them for my house renovation after having a flood in my house. My AAA insurance company recommended HP enterprise through there contractor (Lionsbridge in Missouri) and we were convinced to use them for our house renovation because AAA promised to go after them on our behalf if we ever have problem with the quality of work. We noticed price inflation because they are not the one that does the job and they are not also hired directly by AAA, they are been hired by (Lionsbridge) and HP still have to hire a handy man to do the job meaning the money have to be splits among all 3 contractors. Lionsbridge will get paid by AAA then HP will be getting paid by Lionsbridge and the handy man will be getting the smallest money from HP enterprise. Beware not to fall in this mess. If you ever have a flood in your house, allow your Insurance to send you the evaluator for whatever company that they use, but don't ever go with that company. Always cash out and find someone to do the job the way you want your house back. As we can all tell there review is horrible and I never took the time to check for there review before agreeing to the contract. This company was recommended by my insurance company to do the repair work after I had a plumbing leak. Several different crews were dispatched to do the work. The group that did the "dry out" with fans was excellent. They were in and out and very accommodating with times. The drywall and paint crew were amazing and worked under very difficult conditions. However, the "pack out" group was very disorganized by Jeff Harper. First they moved all of my furniture into the living room. It was jam packed and the painters had to work in a very confined space. The ladies who did the packing seemed to know what they were doing, but I was not informed that they would be unpacking my drawers and placing my personal items in boxes. This was unprofessional and intrusive. Then the boss of the "pack out" crew came to inspect and he said that the furniture could not be in the living room and it had to be moved to a pod. This extended the disruption another few days while they shopped for a cheap pod. Then the ladies came and moved all of the furniture and personal items to the pod. After the flooring was done, it all had to be moved back into my home. The process from start to finish was from February 9 to June, the "pack in" was not complete due to my schedule and I had to finish the unpacking and my drawers for my dressers were not replaced where they were supposed to be. It was a frustrating experience with the "pack out/in" crew. They mostly spoke Spanish and they didn't explain the process to me. Communication with my insurance company and the flooring company was useless. I was the one who had to coordinate the work. It was unprofessional and intrusive to the max. I will not use them again. I was referred to HP Enterprises from a friend that had used them for some work. I called and Pat was able to come out to my house quickly to do an estimate. He was right on time for the estimate which I really appreciated. He did a quick estimate and submitted it to my insurance company as it was for a water claim that I had filed. HP Enterprises was not referred to me by my insurance company and was not on their repair program. Pat submitted the estimate and my adjuster called me to let me know that they had done a great job on the estimate. The adjuster advised this was surprising because most contractors that are not on their "referral program" do not do a good job with the estimates. They advised HP uses the same estimating program that they are used to and they did not have to make any adjustments to the estimate Pat submitted! They sent me a check right away and Pat called to schedule the repairs. They came to my house for the repairs at the time they had promised. The gentlemen that did the actual repairs were respectful of my stuff. The repair called for the entire ceiling of the downstairs on my home to be painted. They spent a lot of time to make sure everything was covered properly so that none of my person artifacts were damaged. They were able to finish everything that needed to get done in 1 day. They cleaned up all of their mess and put things back in place. I asked while they were there to fix a small area on a shelf that Service Master had damaged while drying out my house. I called Pat to ask him if he could have his guys fix it while they were at my home fixing the ceiling. Pat gave me a fair estimate and agreed to fix the damage. He sent me another small estimate for the damage for me to submit to Service Master. Overall, he did a great job and I was happy with the process and the repair. I know that good contractors are hard to come by as I hear so many horror stories. I have to say that this a great company and would use them again if needed. read more

A month and a half after my insurance company wrote them a check for $10,000 they still have not even told when they will schedule our floor repair. The only person that will talk to us is a rude and unhelpful receptionist on the phone who refuses to connect us to anyone that can make a decision. At this point I want my money back so I can find a company that will actually do the work. read more

So far, I can't say I'm impressed. We had a water heater leak that caused the inner surfaces of a wall to get soaked. Another company came out to do the mitigation work, and then HP was sent out by my insurance company. John arrived on 4/6 to do the initial estimate for repairs, and said he'd have the estimate completed that day or at latest, the next. Here we are a full week later and so far, no estimate completed. Nothing submitted to the insurance team, no scheduling done for getting the large hole in my home repaired. My father was in this line of work for years, and there is absolutely no reason for an estimate of this nature to take more than a day or so. When I called this in, their receptionist stated "well, to be honest with you, there are a lot of estimates for him to do". Not to be rude, but that is so NOT my problem. You're here to do a job...is it too much to ask to get it done? Get the estimate done (XActimate can do this in about an hour, tops...), get it over to my insurance guys for approval, and pick up the phone to schedule a date and time for your team to start! Failing that, call me to keep me appraised of the status of the claim or what is delaying getting it done! BASIC BUSINESS AND COMMUNICATION PRACTICES! We'll see how this plays out. For now I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. UPDATE: 4/16 Well today I had to chase them once again to get scheduled, even though they said they'd be calling me once all of the documents were signed and submitted. (Another lie.) Not only were they ducking me, but also ignoring calls from my insurance adjuster! So, back into project management mode I go to get things moving forward.... Spoke to my adjuster John, and he actually stated I could have signed on the spot (before my estimate was even completed, which is definitely in the gray area of legality) - essentially blaming all of the delay on me. But even after that point, he couldn't quote a date to get a team out to my house. All he'd say is "roughly two weeks, we're busy after all". I pushed for a date, not a nebulous time at some rough point in the future. He said "well, I don't quote dates, because if something happens on one of the other jobs we'll just have to back you off anyway. Instead we just call you 3-4 days before we plan to be there and make sure that works for you." So here's how HP apparently does business: 1.) Take your time getting the estimate done, even though you've told the homeowner you'll have it in 24 hours. 2.) Don't count any of that time toward getting a team together or getting things scheduled. 3.) Don't communicate with the homeowner. Transparency is obviously not a priority. 4.) Don't communicate with the insurance team either. 5.) Let them to the gruntwork involved, and then they can reward your entire lack of attention to the project by paying you. I've never had to work so hard to pay someone! WOW! How it should be done: 1.) You use XActimate for estimates. This can spit out the estimate in hours, not days. Use it. If you're busy, have other staff trained on completing your estimates for you, or take less clients in a single day to get the paperwork portion completed when you say you'll have it completed. Submit copies of the estimate to the insurance company and provide a copy to the homeowner as a courtesy. 2.) Be clear about what needs to be signed, and make it easy! This is the 21st century. Use a software like DocuSign or something like that so that the homeowner can legally sign documents without printing something out, signing it, scanning it, and re-submitting. 3.) Once you have everything signed, schedule them. Put a caveat out there that says "hey, sometimes things may go wrong that will require us to move your date...but if that happens we'll notify you as soon as possible and do our best to keep this from happening. We'll work with you as much as we can and keep you in the loop every step of the way!" By not communicating with me properly, this company just lost out on my entire claim (several thousand dollars, and it's a small claim), and also any business I might have sent their way for being a happy customer. Do yourselves a favor and stay as far away from this company as possible, unless you like to manage your own projects and do all of the coordination work (and headaches) yourself. read more

I had a water leak in my condo and was referred to Pat(HP Enterprises) by the company I had hired to stop the water damage. Pat and Guy were quick to quick to respond to all my questions or concerns about restoring my home to it's original condition. The crew they brought in was awesome! Each different crew, whether it was the painters...or the ones doing the flooring...or the plumbers...all did very professional work! It left me feeling very confident that all work was done right. HP was able to start the work as soon as my insurance had approved their estimate. There were no delays. Once one crew finished...the next arrived and got started on their part. Each crew was careful to not make a mess...and to clean up after themselves. I'm very happy with the completed job. I told my insurance company to add them to it's list of "approved vendors". I would recommend them to anyone looking to find an efficient, reliable, and trustworthy contractor. read more

I had water damage and my homeowners insurance company referred me to this company. They were professional and did a great job. They replaced baseboards, painted, and replaced flooring in the laundry room. All in 2.5 days. They did not reinstall my dryer correctly but when I called them they were quick to respond and correct the situation. Guy and Julio were great! I cannot comment on their pricing because they billed my insurance company. Another awesome thing about them is they worked with my insurance company and worked things our so I did not even have to pay my deductible!
