We had a dangerous natural gas leak from our gas range. After shutting off the gas we had plumbers come out on 2 occasions to check the supply line, which was fine. We then had a HPS tech come out and check the unit and could not find a leak despite the plumbers leak detectors going off previously. After the second plumber again detected the leak coming from the unit (see pic), I called HPS back, they initially told me they couldn't help and to call the gas company! I asked to speak to the manager. He called back and looked at the picture and said he thought it was the gas tube. We set up a re-check appointment for 2 days later, then texts me last minute and cancels, saying he couldn't get the tube. It was supposed to be a courtesy re-check but they flaked out and said to call someone else. I accepted their offer to destroy the service fee check but they still wasted my time and left me without a working stove. Very unprofessional. I had another company come over today, found the leak, and fixed it in less than one hour! It wasn't the tube! Lastly, after checking with Dacor, HPS is not an authorized service company. read more

We discussed a couple options, and Arti attempted to fix the unit with the less expensive route. Unfortunately an entire subassembly needed replacement so we had to wait until the next day to get the correct part and complete the repair. It was great that HPS kept the parts in stock instead of having to order and wait several days until the parts came in. Both the initial visit and follow-up were on-time and the service was fast and competent. These guys know how to provide excellent customer service and the price was less than expected. I would not recommend. My refrigerator is not working, so I scheduled an appointment with them 2 days ago. I had not heard from them and it was near the end of the appointment window so I called the office to find out when the technician would be coming to find out that due to a family emergency, nobody was coming. I love it when a plan comes together. After a scheduling snafu in the morning, I did receive a phone call in the afternoon from HPS apologizing for the schedule mis-communication and they can come out today between 2-4pm. I was very happy to hear this. Scheduling issues happen and owning them and resolving them immediately is part of a good business IMO. They hit this piece out of the park. Arti arrived early, which was great since it was Valentines day and this meant we could have a nice Valentines dinner out after all. Arti was very professional and went about diagnosis right away. After about 15 mins, he called me over and went through the options. The condenser coil was chuck full of dust and debris from never being cleaned. He also pointed out that the compressor was running extremely hot, 125+, again showed me with a digital thermometer and pointed to what looked like small leak in the Freon line. Options were to clean the condenser coil to allow it to breath and therefore cool the freezer and ice will be part of our lives again. The other option was if that doesn't work, then replacement of the compressor is more than likely required. Option 2 was significantly expensive.. big time, probably almost 60% of the cost of the fridge 4 yrs ago. So kind of like in limbo land. For the cost of cleaning the coil, it was worth getting this done first. If we don't get ice in the next 24hrs, we will be purchasing a new refrigerator. Might as well, since the additional cost will mean a newer unit as well as this time perhaps getting a 5yr warranty. This is our 2nd Samsung and will probably not go with that brand again. Need to refer to my trusty Consumer Reports website. Arti did give us some good suggestions. I mean, probably best to ask an appliance repair dude what brands he doesn't work on constantly. Excellent response and customer touch. Our dish washer unexpectedly stopped working and within 12 hours a young technician came out to inspect it. The entire process was transparent as was the review of identified and potential issues. At no point was I upsold or pressure sold with a "well if you don't do this now then..." type tactic. Instead I got an insightful response on how it could be fixed but also potential considerations moving forward. In the end, I paid the fee ($75) and we decided to get a new dish washer. GE contracted HPS to fix a defective range that we bought a week before. First off they never called to schedule service so after three days I called them. They had all of the information just didn't care to call to schedule. The technicians showed up looked at the range and said 'you need a larger breaker. This requires a 30amp circuit breaker. We had already told them that we had an electrician out and he tested everything and said it wasn't the breaker, that our breaker met the specs and it was an issue with the range control panel. They left, my husband found the specs on the range and (see picture) lo and behold 15 is all that is needed. I called the company back to request another technician to actually fix the range and they stated they would not send anyone, that their technician didn't lie (again we had proof that we were told the incorrect information) and hung up. We returned the range, purchased a new one from a different brand and shocking it works just perfect. My next letter is to GE that HPS cost them a client due to their lack of service and not even attempting to fix the range. read more

After showing me pix of the presumed problem, He gave me a couple options and I chose to have it defrosted to see if the door had been left ajar or something worse. Arti helped me empty the freezer and defrosted it. Determined the slider rail were okay. Sprayed them with something to make them roll better. YouTube lied about how easy it would be to replace the door gasket on my 12 year old LG front load washer. After another appliance repair person told me I'd need to unstack the dryer and take the washer completely apart, I contacted HPS though Yelp. They can out the same day (one a Saturday) and we're able to complete the replacement work without unstacking the dryer. Initial service was great. They came out, replaced a compressor on my fridge and it appeared to be fixed. A couple months everything is fine but then I start getting errors on my fridge that say it could be a bad compressor or low Freon. I message them and my first message I sent was deleted by the company, the 2nd one showed it was read with no response in a week. All I wanted was them to have someone come and check to make sure there is no leak or any other issue with the replaced compressor or work done ... no answer so updating review. I never asked for free work or for it to be replaced on their dime or anything like that. I just asked them to send someone to check since the initial visit went well. The day of, the technician went to the wrong house and when nobody answered, and I missed the call, he left. When I called him back, he told me he had already left and cancelled the service and it would have to be rescheduled for the next day.
