So I'm originally from the other side of the Venetia Bridge. There was a huckleberries that opened up in Concord. As I moved now to Cordelia, I got the opportunity to stop by Huckleberry's in Fairfield. I was super thrilled that they actually had a patio. We were able to bring our pups with us and really enjoyed our time together. With that said that, I'm giving this place two stars. It was great that we got to be seated instantly I didn't have to wait because we were sitting outside. The outside back patio had a whole bunch of picnic tables and all of your utensils and extra ingredients were on top of the table. The menu you had a whole bunch of southern choices. I was super thrilled to see that they had fried okra and fried green tomatoes. Recently visiting Charleston, I really enjoyed their fried green tomatoes. So I said why not give it a chance here. I asked Jennifer, our waiter, what she thought about them and she said they were good. I also made sure to ask what the thickness of the tomato was because I actually like that flavor. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, and two double bloody Mary's. The bloody Mary's were delicious and they came out with bacon and all the garnishes that usually come with it. The fried green tomatoes, were horrible, it was basically batter, you didn't even get to see the tomato inside of it. The dipping sauce was OK, I usually don't do this, but I had to return it because I'm not eating dough! BTW... It also came with a really dirty nasty plate. Secondly, we ordered the fried steak and country gravy. We went for the side potatoes. And we asked for extra gravy. That dish came out pretty well and that's why it's getting this two stars. They definitely need to use a little bit more salt and pepper to add to their food for flavor. Thirdly, we ordered a second round of drinks, this time I ordered their jungle juice, which was huckleberry lemonade and vodka! It tasted water down and like there was no alcohol in it. Even though I asked for a double? At the end of the day, will I be returning no.

Oh how I love huckleberry's. This is a must for me every, single, time, I visit fairfield. The place was PACKED. This time and I was still sat almost immediately. The vibes of this place are always super consistent and the food always hits the spot. I truly only come for the swamp tea, but will never shut up about the fried greet tomatoes. The rest of the food is good but the star of the show this trip was the stacked chicken and waffles. I have no idea what kid of sauce they used but my goodness it was the most meal flattering sauce I didn't even need my syrup.

There was no wait upon arrival. The restaurant, and place settings appeared clean. There was a strong odor of bleach at my table but it dissipated over time. I ordered stacked chicken and waffles. I've had it before but today they missed the mark. The chicken tenders were anything but tender. They were thick and tough. Tasted like they had been cooked from frozen. The order was plentiful but I couldn't eat it because of the protein. When I told my server Juliza she asked what I meant by tough. Lol. She offered to have it remade but I didn't want to take the chance so I asked her if she had a waffle with sausage and eggs. She said yes. When it came it was good. When she brought the check I saw she charged me a la cart. I viewed the menu and inquired why she didn't charge for a combo instead. She said well its only a $5 difference. After she repeated this a few times, she finally changed the check and blamed me because "the chicken and waffles had a whole waffle so she assumed I wanted the same." I made sure to give her that $5 in her tip. Rating today is based mostly on her service.

Stopped by huckleberry for a quick breakfast, I've tried their branch in sac before and it was quite good. I wanted to get something light so I ordered their salad, wasn't a big fan of tomatoes so I asked to swap with mushrooms which they accommodated. But I really didn't expect them to serve raw mushrooms, at least it could've been sautéed or something... The grilled chicken pieces tasted quite old & had a weird after taste. I'm guessing it's prepped but it tasted like it's been in the fridge for a couple days. Bacon bits was also not well cooked, raw-ish and wet. The other menu items I've tried are usually good but I'd avoid the salad.

We ordered to go for Memorial Day ... Ordered 3 rib eye steaks with country potatoes and scrambled eggs, muffin and biscuit with gravy.. The gravy was forgotten to pour in the biscuit and butter and sprinkles of sugar for the muffins... we always order from them that's why we know what we always get and this time, there were missing few stuff.. Came back inside to ask for the gravy and now they were charging us $3 for 3 tubs.. If they poured it on biscuit like they normally do, we wouldn't have been charged extra, so we just walked out and we appreciate when the staff came out and gave us the 3 tubs of gravy free of charge.. Only comment is that the rib eye was a bit rubbery and tough to chew, though easy to cut.. But over all, I can give it 4.5

Didnt wait much on a Sunday afternoon for 9 ppl however we had to split into 2 booths. Keep in mind they dont have big group seating. It was fine for us we were able to still interact. Anyway we always loved coming here when we live in fairfield years ago. Love the bayou ambience. They also follow up the theme with the food! Everything we ordered was cooked well and tasty! The steak i ordered for breakfast was thin but they still got the right temp which is not always the case with other breakfast places. The peach tea was sooo good and also alot! Glad they had to go cups! Fried green tomatoes always a good appetizer. Wish the beignets were a bit more airy, theyre more demse and cakey. 10/10 recommended

Loved coming here! Love the atmosphere! The food is great! I love the selection! Customer service was awesome, too! Food came out hot and I enjoyed it! Love the location! Parking is ample!

Well! This place hit the mark! We came here after an appointment, I am not an egg person and there is a lot of eggs here... but... I asked about biscuits and gravy and was told yes it was delicious... The Joes scramble is scrambled eggs biscuits gravy and potato's on the side... your choice of sausage or chicken fried steak. I opted for the scramble hold the eggs with sausage... it was amazing super delicious! The biscuits were very good, soft not overly dry... the gravy was really good on its own, and with the sausage and biscuits. The potatoes were on point! All in all very happy with it all! The server was very attentive. She was excellent! And the place was clean.. my only gripe was the mat on the way in and out, we tripped on it both directions.

Came here for Saturday lunch after doing some photography during the morning. It was pretty busy but we're seated right away. Kind of a noisy atmosphere but nothing too overwhelming. All the staff are friendly within this laid back atmosphere. The Stacked Chicken and Waffles was delicious with compliments of both sweet and savory. I'm usually more of a hash browns person compared to country potatoes, but these were on point! The pancakes were a little dense but had good flavor. This place always has good food using fresh ingredients and never disappoint.

Great spot for an ample breakfast, brunch, or lunch in Fairfield, CA. Portions are generous; pricing represents a great value; variety of offerings is diverse; served with a Cajun twist

Huckleberries has always been a favorite breakfast restaurant of my family. Their service has always been top tier and inviting. The theme throughout the restaurant is super cute and my kids love it! If you haven't tried the swamp juice, you'll have to give it a try! It's one of their best drinks on the menu and has little berries on the bottom. They also have a virgin Bloody Mary as a specialty drink but I favor the swamp juice over it, plus you can ask for a to go cup and they'll give you a refill! My family loves the fried okra and the dipping sauces that they provide. It's perfectly crisp and never soggy - even after taking it home. The beignets are pretty good. I prefer softer and airy bread but these are pretty good to hit the craving. Their skillets are what I usually lean towards but I wanted to try something different and ordered the bowl of chili. It was pretty good! The depth of flavor was there and the heat wasn't too spicy. We will definitely be back!

01.09.2026. Last meal before wisdom teeth removal. Chicken and waffles. beignets. Pretty yummy. Dunno if it's cause I was hungry. The chicken had nice crunch and was savory with the aiolis and sauce. It felt a little weird with the syrup but still good. The beignets sat on three kinds of jam/compote. I really liked the apple one but doesn't compare to beignets in new orleans. Still light airy and fluffy tho so an appropriate substitute for me. I really wished they had biscuits and gravy as a side cause those looked soooo good.

Fun vibes and great food. Cajun style eatery with an amazing breakfast spread and hearty lunch options. The Cajun Benedict is tops with smoked andouille sausage and hearty potatoes. The banana French toast platter was great with toasted pecans, banana slices and powdered sugar. The fired green tomato's are crispy and taste awesome with a side of ranch dressing. I will ask for extra crispy bacon next time but they were fine. 30min wait in a a Saturday.

    Ask the Community - Huckleberry's

Do they offer gluten-free pancakes or gluten-free waffles or GF French toast?

Are you open for inside dining?

Are they seating tables 6ft apart also what protocols are they taking?

I believe they were set to open May 16th. As of now they remain open only for takeout, just passed by yesterday!

    Do they serve mimosas?

    The menu says they do

Do they allow dogs in their outdoor area?

Yes I believe they do. They did with the last ownership. Some regulars always used to bring their dogs. You just gotta tell them or maybe call ahead of time so they can set it up back there for ya (because no one ever sits outside)

Is this place pet friendly in their outdoor seating?

    No

Does this restaurant have a separate room for groups?

Nope... But there is an outside area towards the back you might be able to use...

There's a counter area where you can order coffee, pastries, breakfast items, or food to-go, while the left side has a hostess stand if you'd prefer full table service inside or on the patio. The brunch menu was a bit limited, and I ended up ordering the croissant sandwich. The croissant itself was soft and fresh, but overall the sandwich left me wanting a little more flavor. It was on the smaller side, didn't have much bacon, and even with the preserved tomato aioli it felt a bit underwhelming. The breakfast potatoes also weren't really my favorite. They were small whole potatoes with the skins on and heavily seasoned with cayenne pepper. Personally, I would've liked another side option such as fresh fruit. That said, the staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. For two croissant sandwiches, two iced teas, and a side of fries, the total came to around $70 with tip, which felt a little pricey for the overall experience. The property itself is beautiful. It looks like they host live music and events in the outdoor quad area, and I noticed they also offer wood-fired pizza after 11 AM, which honestly sounds worth coming back to try.
