Huck's is great! I came here for a late brunch with my boyfriend, and we were able to be seated right away. The restaurant is a little small but very cute! Apparently they have $14 for unlimited bloody marys/screwdrivers/mimosas, which is honestly a steal. I ordered the sausage eggs benedict, and my bf ordered the burger. My benedict was great! The eggs were poached perfectly, but I didn't love the home fries that came with it. They were honestly a little bit too hard for me. My bf loved the burger! He said it was cooked exactly how he wanted, and it came with a side of fries which were also great. The service here was amazing. We have two waitresses, and they were both very attentive and sweet. read more

Hucks is a staple in Brewer's Hill and for good reason. The food items are something you would find at a pub but it taste very good. I have had the chicken tenders, pretzel, fries, and spinach artichoke dip several times now and I can say it is very good. They are also very quick and they have online ordering as well if you just need to make a quick stop. They have plenty of beers to choose from and they also have specials. Parking in this area can be hard if you do not know how to parallel park as it is all street parking. This a sports bar so if you go here on a day where theres a a game expect a crowd. read more

I haven't been to this part of town in a few years and was interested in the latest remake of this location. Sunday, mid afternoon, and the place had just enough people to make it interesting. Barstools were full as well as most tables. We got a nice hightop near the window with a very friendly bartender. Mussels were excellent. I typically do not order tomato based but these were great. Chicken and waffles were yummy - should opt out of using chicken tenders tho. Overall, nice neighborhood atmosphere, good food and friendly service. read more

My husband and I stopped by Huck's for happy hour and a bite a while ago, just now getting around to writing a review! We loved our drinks and meal at Huck's! I got the chicken and savory waffles with a grapefruit crush and my guy got the philly and a beer. I really enjoyed their take on chicken and waffles. The waffles and gravy were outstanding and I liked the option to dip into syrup or stick with a total savory bite. My husband claims the philly is one of his favorite things he has had, they use Dr. Pepper in the mix and it really does provide a delicious flavor. We will definitely return! read more

This place is incredibly accommodating as well as being super delicious. My friend and I showed up with very dead phones... meaning not only were we unable to look at the online menu (paper menus were promptly provided) but we were also unable to take pictures of our food. BUT the server was able to charge both of our phones for us (even bringing out a portable charging box to our table!) They had little fans to keep away the flies since we sat outside. The server also brought a water bowl for my friend's dog!! We ordered boh-mosas (delicious) and I had the short rib omelet (amazing). I will absolutely eat here again! Incredible service. read more

Came for a casual Friday lunch, and we snagged a couple seats at the bar. Immediately, the bartender mentioned their Friday special, which was a free beer (Lagunitas IPA or Natty Boh), with a purchase of any entree. Nice. Wasn't even planning on daydrinking, but not going to turn away a free beer. Huck's had opened around the summer/fall of 2015, but the kitchen just opened in November, so it's still relatively new. Ordered the Wisconsin cheese curds, fried clam belly sandwich with purple potato fries, and the veggie pretzel pizza. Cheese curds were a perfect start to the meal, with a really good creaminess, and the rosemary dill sauce added a good contrast to the richness. Clam belly was very fresh, albeit a little on the very fishy side. The purple potato fries weren't very different from regular fries, but still delicious, crispy, and gave the plate a nice unique brightness. Pretzel pizza had a very crispy crust, and the cheese quotient is very amped up, but the veggies added a good texture. Service was great, even as it got more and more crowded as the afternoon went on. We chatted a bit with the staff, and they were very friendly and a treat to talk with. The draft beer selection is pretty impressive, with a large variety of different IPAs, porters, stouts, etc. Prices were pretty reasonable for lunch, with sandwiches and pretzel pies at about $9-13. They have a few daily food specials from day to day, and $3 select drafts for happy hour (4pm-7pm) Overall, Huck's is a great addition to the neighborhood. They definitely serve some unique, high-quality bar fare, and the laid-back atmosphere makes it a very comfortable place. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Brewer's Hill. read more

Huck's American Craft has been open for about a year now, but the kitchen only opened up in January. I was meeting some friends near Canton in Brewer's Hill. Huck's specializes in American classics as well as craft beer and spirits. The team behind Huck's is the same duo behind Papi's Tacos in Fells Point. After browsing the impressive crush menu (order the Huckelberry Lemonade), my friends and I decided to share the Boardwalk Soft Pretzel. The pretzel was super buttery, it almost melted in my mouth, came with three dipping sauces. There was grained whiskey mustard, Vermont maple mustard, and craft beer fondue. Of the three, my favorite was the Vermont maple mustard, but they really were all delicious. My friends and I also shared an order of the Wisconsin Cheese Curds. These were similar to mozzarella sticks, the beer battered 'squeaky cheese' was super gooey and melted then served with rosemary buttermilk sauce for dipping. If you're a cheesy fan, don't miss these. Since a trip to No Idea last year, my friend has had trouble turning down Toasted Ravioli. When she saw these on the menu, she decided to order them as her meal. The ravioli was crispy and filled with herbs and Muenster cheese and served with a side of Huck's marinara and sprinkled Parmesan. My friend devoured this. To accompany the ravioli, my friend ordered the Purple Potato Fries. These were hand-cut, house-fried, and herb-salted, served with Fresno aioli for dipping. These were a little starchier than traditional fries, but they were still delicious. At Huck's, all of the pizza's are made with a pretzel crust. One of my friends ordered the special pizza, the CBC Pie. On the pretzel crust was chicken, bacon, and cheese - cheddar and muenster. The crust was thin and crispy, and you can never go wrong with bacon on a pizza. This was another hit! I ordered Huck's Burger and added cheddar cheese. It was a simple grilled patty topped with cheese and served with lettuce, tomato, and pickled veggies. The burger was insanely juicy, probably one of the best patties I've had. Because the burger was so flavorful on its own, I didn't find myself missing sauces and other toppings. If you're looking for some straightforward American Food in Brewer's Hill, there's plenty at Huck's American Craft to delight your tastebuds. read more

Came here with a party of 10 on 2.23.19, no reservation. The place is very cute, great vibe and ambiance. At first they didn't know if they'd be able to accommodate our table size (it's a small place), but they made room for us to all sit together. The waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. I ordered a special for the night - grilled flank steak. It was delicious - cooked to a perfect medium rare and so tender. I tried a piece of someone else's "3 little pigs" pretzel pie, and it was good but a tad too salty. The onion rings are perfect, nice sweet onion with a perfectly crisp batter. We were here celebrating a birthday so they also gave us a deep fried Twinkie, drizzled with chocolate, and ice cream. We all had a great time and enjoyed our meal, and I'll definitely be back! read more

I'm really glad I came here with 3 friends the other night because it's awesome! I love the quiet location, the drinks, food, and the atmosphere. As a frequent flyer of Alexander's Tavern in Fells Point, and an experienced taco eater at Papi's, I was really excited to see the owners open up another restaurant in the area. I drank some DogFish 61 Minute's, which were awesome and different from their 60 minute. It's brewed with their 61st ingredient being grape must. It's purpleish in color and takes away some of the hoppyness. As long as it's available, I hope this doesn't come off the draught list. Their menu was more of a "bar fare" menu, but to be honest, there were full meals on there. A friend of mine got a turkey sandwich, which was like thanksgiving on a bun. I didn't try it, but she said it was great. I did have the pretzel with the 3 dipping sauces (whole grain mustard, cheese fondue, and cinnamon icing) and it was perfect for sharing. ($4 with dipping sauces) I also had the pickled veggies ($3). Anything picked is right up my alley. There were carrots, whole garlic cloves, and red peppers. The carrots were good, the garlic was a little much, but I don't think most people would actually eat it, I just really love garlic. Wanna be my friend? I'm sure I smell great ;). Overall, it were on the spicy side. Next time I'm going to try one of their sandwiches, and I can't wait for their full menu to come out. So went back again for happy hour, sadly we ordered their pretzels, not even close. We were pretty much the only people there and the first pretzel was way undercooked and raw dough, highly disappointed. The next pretzel was almost cooked all the way through, very bland and no pop for a pretzel. The beer cheese and mustard was average at best. Not sure we will go back. read more

Visited 10/19/16 Ended up here somehow on the way to Savannah. This trip to Savanna and New Orleans is going to be tough since I found out my cholesterol is up! Small and very busy at lunch time with the bartender doing a great job. Lots of craft beer that we didn't try since I was driving. 2 Grilled chicken sandwiches with a nice salad were pretty good. I came here for a second date. The food was great and reasonably priced but the service was pretty lousy. My date and I each had a salad that we enjoyed very much. My salad never came with the dressing on the side and by the time they had come back to check on us about 20 minutes later I had finished. He offered a lame "sorry" but it didn't feel genuine. And then, before we could order more drinks (all the glasses at the table and been empty for about 15 minutes) he whisked away one plate (but left the other) and was gone. After another 15 minutes or so of sitting with empty glasses I showed myself inside the bar, got the check, and split for more drinks down the street. read more

My boyfriend and I stumbled across this place one day, and decided to give it a chance because it's so close to where he lives! I'd taken a look at the menu ahead of time (obviously) and liked the various options it included. It seemed like a place I could switch up my order every time I come! Even though I'd read such good things about the cheese curds, we decided to save those for next time, and went with the pretzel. When it first came out I was a little suspicious because it was very light, and didn't have the dark brown crust I'm used to seeing with soft pretzels. However it was delicious. It tasted like they just took it out of the oven, it was extremely hot and melted in your mouth. We go the beer cheese, which had great flavor, and wasn't like your typical plain beer cheese. I also wanted to try the huckleberry icing, but they were either out of it, or no longer served it. For my meal I got the juicy Lucy, which was super juicy. Probably one of the juiciest burgers I've had in awhile. The one thing that I was disappointed in though was the lack of cheese in the burger. It was supposed to be stuffed with muenster cheese, and for the longest time I thought they gave me just a regular burger, until I found the tiniest trace of cheese in the middle. I'm not sure if this was an oversight and the cheese busted out of the side (I've made these before, and I know that can happen, but there still should have been some in there). However the burger was so good without it, it wasn't a big deal. The fries, while were done with purple potatoes looked more brown, and I think they might have needed to change the oil. My boy friend got the meat lovers pretzel pizza. It looked pretty good, however because we got the pretzel app I didn't even want to try it! The one thing I will say from just the looks of the pizza is that the chicken (like a previous reviewer said) looked kind of bland. Honestly at first I thought it was crab meat! I think they probably could have seasoned it a little bit. He said on a scale of 1-5 he gave the pizza a 3.5. I know this is a newish restaurant so they are still working out all their kinks, other than that it was really cute, and we'll definitely be back! read more

Huck's is a gem hidden away in Brewers hill. I live in the area and this is becoming one of my go to spots. It is a smaller, cozier bar with a cool,laid back vibe. I sort of have two different experiences. The first time going there, I went for brunch with some friends. The brunch was average. Not bad but also nothing special. Second time visiting I went for dinner and it was much much better. I ordered the wings and cheese curds cause I don't like my heart. Honestly though it was worth it. I thought the wings were really good overall, awesome flavor and good portions. The cheese curds are delicious and memorable. Easy for me to remember since I have no childhood memories of my father. Pleasantly surprised by this corner bar! Came here after the gym on a Thursday evening and snagged a table outside. I had the Hot Toddy with some ginger added and it warmed my soul. It was served with a cinnamon stick with just the right amount of sweetness and zing. For apps, the table shared a pretzel, mac & cheese with crispy chicken, and cheese curds. It was pretty busy and our server seemed overwhelmed so the chef brought the dishes out himself. He makes his ranch dressing from scratch and it tastes amazing - this was served with the cheese curds made of "squeaky" cheese. The pretzel was so soft and buttery with salt - served with whole grain mustard and cheese on the side. The mac and cheese was super creamy and paired well with the crispy chicken. For dinner, my friend and I shared the GOAT pretzel pie and the B.O.H salad. The pizza is a thin crust made with pretzel dough - loved how crispy the crust was and the mix of grilled chicken, bacon, goat cheese, and caramelized onion had complementary flavors. The B.O.H. salad had fried brussel sprouts, onion, goat cheese, and lettuce. We opted for the balsamic vinaigrette and really enjoyed the crunchy crispy texture of the salad. read more
