Situated in a semi-farm like pasture setting, it was just what the doctor ordered. Well kept, shady seating areas, nicely mowed lawn, facing beautiful horses in the distance. Great place to get some swings in, nice staff, and very convenient to Hudson proper. The grass tees were not open during my visit but that was due to the heavy rain fall a couple of days before. It is fun and challenging, not to mention very nicely maintained and an absolute bargain. If you play the blues it's still pretty tough for an average golfer (#3 plays ~200 yards for a par 3, for example). The namesake hill on #8 is downright nasty, and you have zero chance of getting on the green in 1 no matter how big a hitter you are so you have to lay up at the bottom of the hill and then rocket one up there to have a chance. I am a huge huge fan.

2nd time playing this course. course is amazing,there was 4 of us out today, we play by the rules…read moreand are avid golfers and we take golf etiquette seriously. however this time was not as fun and enjoyable. played today, and being that there was 2 outings in the afternoon the course rangers were more then letting us know we may we had fallen behind, they were waving their hands in the "lets move it along " type of gesture. Also we had to avoid all the mowing equipment, from the 4th to the 12th we had maintenance being done around us on the grounds, slowing us down...we didn't have a problem with mowing and maintenance, but please don't push us along when the course itself was slowing down the pace of play.

Sometimes tough to see but you know what they say about a picture worth a thousand words. Hint: when being videotaped be sure your grip is spot on. Their classes are well organized and will teach you what you need to know. I'm already thinking about going back.

After 5 years of playing golf and struggling with my game, Susan helped me "unlock my swing", which enabled me to improve my drives, fairway game, chip shots and putting! The school includes range practice, video analysis and on-course play, which I really found beneficial. In addition to being a great pro, Sue is a wonderful person - very friendly and easy to work with. Her rates are very reasonable. The registration process is a bit cumbersome, but they will get back to you once you email them. I think this is one of the best schools I've ever been to. I wish I'd met Sue sooner. I highly recommend attending her golf school - you won't regret it!

Route Fore Golf Center is a fine, casual driving range where you can go to hit some golf balls…read more They're heated booths with rubber tees that you can use when it's cold out. Also, there is a grass area where you can use your own tees. I admit this driving range is nothing fancy, but it's fun to go hit some golf balls here. Furthermore, you can buy a small bucket of balls for $6 and a large bucket for $9. I think these prices are fair. In addition, the Route Fore offers lessons and a golf simulator. While both are nice, they are quite expensive. As expressed, Route Fore is nothing special, but it's a fun driving range and it's great for casual golfers.

I did have an odd request by wanting a shorter steel shaft in place of the graphite one and Jim improvised and got creative and made it happen. Minimal cost in my opinion. Great guy and great place. Can't wait to try it out.
