Hugo Ortega's company is an excellent choice that will not only resolve all your appliance issues but they will save you money and time. I had a noisy refrigerator issue for which I had first called another company. That other company quoted me nearly $500 for a job that I was clueless what exactly they were going to do. Then I looked up Hugo Ortega's father and son family business on yelp and read the reviews and called them first and then sent them a text. They called me promptly back and the wife listened intently to the problem and then explained me clearly and in simple terms what might be the real issue with my refrigerator. She gave me options and suggestions (also texted them to me)that I could do without them making their first visit to my place. If the problem reoccurs I would certainly call them subsequently. I did exactly what Ortega's wife said and lo behold it worked! I checked Yelp and so many other places to find a company to fix my washer that was not draining correctly and was so confused and unsure! I made a couple of calls and did not like the "well maybe" and you're rural so... I finally found Hugo Ortega and read the reviews. All seemed good and then I called and the lady answering and making appointments reassured that I would be taken care of very well. Hugo had many years experience and would be able to address any issues found. I set an appointment and Hugo was perfectly on time and called to let me know he was there before reaching the front door. Washer was fixed perfectly (not a new washer but one I had inherited when purchasing the house and he also agreed this was a set that was worth fixing because of the quality of this Whirlpool model)!!! Hugo went the extra steps to check the dryer for fire danger lint and proper operation and give hints on what could break easily and how to avoid. Both have been working so well and he is so very professional! I found out that the sweet lady on the phone is family as is the other technician who works on any other appliances other than washers and dryers! FINALLY I've found a family owner and run local set of professionals that are HONEST!!! I feel if anything should run badly again I have a quick source for any of my appliances! After reviewing manuals, googling error codes, running diagnostics on my Kenmore Elite. I could not figure out the problem why it would not spin. Reached out to Ortega Family and they were very helpful via text trying to resolve the issue. My washer started spinning with tips by Tim. It eventually threw the error code which than we needed someone to come out and look at. Turned out the drain pump went out. Family of 6 5 year old washer. probably have 1000 plus washes on the washer. So the pump did its job. Tech came out and provided a higher quality part compared to what came out of factory. My experience has been dependable, honest, timely manner and cost was fair. Washer is up and running and will be using them in the future for any thing else i need. Not quick to judge or say we need to go out and get a new one and troubleshoot for free over text. The little things and they have seen it many times and know if a service call is needed. I'd give 6* if I could. This company is so responsive (they operate via text) and professional. Their prices are really reasonable and they do a good job at fixing appliances (we have used them for washer, fridge, and dishwasher). Moreover, they will walk you through solutions if they think there is one that doesn't require them to come out. For instance, when we recently had a problem with our washer - they had two suggestions to try before we brought them out. Second suggestion worked. When I offered to pay them for their time (they sent numerous texts to walk us through everything) - no charge (maybe because we were repeat customers?). Also, if they think the repair may cost more than it is worth to do - they will tell you up front if they can (i.e., if they have enough information to make that call). Again - saves you money. This is a family owned business. Super nice as well. Home Advisor emailed 3 referrals to repair my Whirlpool Dryer (heating element was out). I reviewed them on Yelp and was not satisfied; but the reviews on Hugo were highly impressive. Since it was Saturday, I received a response that he would message me on Monday and to provide him the Make&Model. Monday morning he gave me a quote including the part and we set an appointment for 1:00 pm, and at 12:45 he called and was 15 minutes from my Northeast home (Eden Subdivision). He knew exactly what caused the heating element to go out (clogged dryer vent roof), showed me the burned out part, where it could be located, and also, how to check for future vent clogs, and other appliance tips. I was very impressed with his knowledge, experience, professionalism, and very reasonable. I would definitely recommend him. P.S. My fridge was in need of repair so I called around on a weekend and left a few voicemails. Tim texted me back in minutes even though he wasn't working. He even gave me advice on how to fix my fridge myself! Only being somewhat handy, I wasn't able to get it fixed myself so I had Tim come out to fix it up. Scheduling was easy, communication was quick and easy. He fixed my fridge without needing to replace parts (saving a bunch of money in the process!)... then gave me maintenance advice on my fridge and other appliances. I called to request someone come out to look at my whirlpool refrigerator and I got a call back from Tim in approximately 30 minutes and he was so helpful after listening to the problem and requested I send him a picture of my panel with a red light on, and he was able to talk me into trying different things and I was able to fix the problem. Hugo is the best- I called late in the afternoon on a holiday and left a detailed message- Hugo called later that evening, had looked up our range before hand and suggested what the likely problems were and set up appointment the next day. He arrived on time, was correct in his diagnosis quickly fixed one problem and, while the needed part for the other is no longer available, provided a simple solution to solve the issue. My ice maker was leaking. I called to set up an appointment. They asked that I send the model number which I did. They then set up the appointment because they had the parts on hand. Doing business like this is sooo much better than a repairman coming out & saying they'll need to order the parts. Then another appointment. I was told in advance the costs. I urgently needed work done on a Dryer/Washer. The dryer drum was shaking alot. We were recommended to call, "Top Priority Appliances & Nextdoor Neighbor." I met with Hugo and he diagnosed the problem very quickly by just turning on the dryer. He knew exactly what the issue was. When he disassembled the unit, sure enough, he was absolutely on point.
