This is in the strip mall where Walgreens is, but it's tucked into a little corner. There's plenty of surface parking. This place is a blend of a buffet, but you essentially get to make your entree for them to cook. If you don't like what you've created, it's my understanding you can go back and put some other items together to make your entree. My partner advised us to take one bowl for veggies and one bowl for your meats and sauces. The buffet for picking your meats, veggies, and sauces is double-sided so that indecisive people aren't holding up those who aren't. Once you've chosen, you walk to the grill and hand over the bowls for them to cook your items. They can keep things separate or together, so let them know. I couldn't even tell you what spicy steak and veggie concoction I created. It was edible and filling. We ordered fried dumplings and an Asian ginger salad as starters. I wasn't happy with the thick sweet and sour sauce, so I dipped them in the Thai Chili Sauce on the table. As for the salad, don't even bother ordering it if you're a green leaf kind of salad lover. It's all that cheap yellow lettuce. The broccoli sprinkled about was the only green I could pull from this. I think next time (if I decide to return) I will take some spinach from the veggie buffet and keep it for that salad instead. The salad was essentially canned mandarin oranges, yellow lettuce, ginger dressing, and sadness with broccoli for flair. I had water with my meal. They have basic drinks like soda and lemonade. Right after we sat down to start eating, we heard "Bump and Grind" by R. Kelly to seal the experience. :-/

Walking in is an experience all on its own. Selena came to us right away her personality, presence and customer service was all on point. She was very helpful on navigating us thru what to do. Love how you pick your ingredients all fresh veggies plenty to choose from. You then pick your sauces they have a wide variety to choose from and describe each one.you then take it to the grill and watch them cook it. Such an amazing experience all around. The manager Ellie was super friendly watched her check on customers as well as answer any questions anyone had. The building is extremely clean and inviting!!! The cheese cake Rangoon is a must try!!!! When you go ask for Selena she is beyond amazing and goes above and beyond for her customers!!!!!

Shared parking lot in a mini strip mall. Selena was our hostess. Very welcoming and friendly and seated up quickly. Dim lit setting but lit enough to see perfectly. Concept: Do it yourself plate. First you pick your meats, buffet style, well communicated at the top of each meat, noodle, veggie and sauce , then you pick your noodle, then your veggies, lastly your sauces. Take it to the hot grill and let the gentlemen do their magic. (Tip them for their services. ) They sauté your ingredients and turn it into a meal only you can enjoy. Take it back to your table and eat . This is all you can eat style so go hungry to get your monies worth. I went on a Sunday around 3pm . Nice crowd. Not busy at all. Reminder: if YOUR meal comes out and you don't like and or YOU are not impressed, DO NOT start screaming and yelling and just remember YOU made YOUR dish . Staff just sautéed what YOU gave them to prepare. Kudos to whoever came up with this concept for a restaurant. I absolutely love it and will definitely return.

I came to Hu Hot for lunch and immediately was impressed by the ambiance - semi low lighting, low playing music and quiet. For someone that is very sensitive to lighting and sound, I appreciated it very much. TV was playing but no sound. Our waitress, Bella was very sweet and quick in her return with our drinks. She was attentive in checking in on us. There are a ton of previously frozen options for meat/protein from pork, chicken, shaved beef and seafood. The freshly cut veggie selection was excellent as well, along with baby carrots, bamboo shoots and water chestnuts, etc. The sauce selection is vast - I chose teriyaki and soy sauces, which to my surprise wasn't very salty at all. I am super sensitive to salt as well, so it was awesome. The cook seemed to be flipping food to the beat of music in his earbud, which was quite entertaining. He did have one bud out, so he could communicate with me and did so kindly and with a smile. The food itself is so flavorful (to your own liking, of course!) and delicious. Despite the sauce bar, that's designed with a catch-all underneath, think that the area could use a more frequent wipe down, as obviously people before us spilled it all around. That wasn't too appealing to the eyes. I did venture into the restroom, which could also use a wipe down of counters from soap spills, but overall, pretty clean. I would return to this restaurant, it's quite tasty.

Ok I went back for my birthday dinner after our first experience was so great. I still enjoyed my meal but the dinner comes with soup or salad so I got neither. Because the only dressing they have is ranch, which I cannot eat. And both soups were meat based. So I will no longer recommend to vegans unless they improve these aspects. Maybe there could be a discount if you don't get the soup or salad

I love me some stir fry! HuHot is one of my favorite places and I have to try it whenever I find one. One of my friends had never been here, so I was glad to share this with them. Thankfully, they loved it too. We also tried the crab rangoons...none of us were impressed by them...they were kinda dry and overly onion-y.

We come here when we can as we love all the fresh veggies. I now am able to put together the sauces into a delicious blend. My wife also loves that she knows which sauces are gluten free. You only have yourself to blame if it comes out bad. The only thing is, their signs for the sauces are old and dirty. Please place new signs up and include which items are gluten free. During lunch, it is all you care to eat. So it is a great deal. Plus the lunch hours go until 4:00pm! The Manager and Bec are some of the great staff here as well. The table gets white rice as well. As we are moving towards being vegans , this restaurant offers a lot of options as well as meats for non-vegans. Give them a try!.

This is the grilling surface at HuHot.

Food is buffet style-meat is sliced thin and frozen, noodles and fresh vegetables with lots of sauces.

They were better before they closed for Covid but it is still a pretty good place to take the family besides pizza or fast food.

Maybe it was because it was frozen idk, it tasted bad and I love sushi. Crab legs had no crab meat in them what so ever? Not to mention there was also not butter even if they had something in them, crawfish looked seasoned but once you actually ate them not a sign of seasoning, tasted straight like a creek, the giant lemon pepper shrimp where fried but soggy and the shell was impossible to remove and if you managed too the shrimp was not good. NOTHING WAS HOT the noodles and rice where above room temperature but that's about it, everything was way below room temperature despite just being put on the buffet and had the appearance of steaming hot (was just water under the trays steaming) The ribs where bland and unflavorful, the chicken was overcooked and bland, nothing was relatively good Went over to the hibachi to get some actually fresh and warm food, there was no one there so I rang the bell, waited for 5 minutes nothing, went and asked if there was someone for the hibachi, they said just ring the bell, went back and rang it again and waited for about 5 minutes for no one to show up (no one did) finally gave up on trying to get something to eat Got the check and went to talk to the manager lady upfront only to be laughed at by her and the server because "sushi supposed to be cold" tried to explain it was still frozen only got laughed at and ignored, she was beyond rude and ignorant and completely ignored the fact everything else is cold and no one is actually running the hibachi, she could care less and just ignores you and when she does listen just laughs at you, complete psycho behavior Worst food I have ever gotten, been coming here every year for the last 5-6 years for my birthday and this year was disgusting Drove an hour and a half, left hungry and disappointed, this was dinner too so I can't imagine how bad lunch is. I'm not sure if there under new management or what the story is but AVOID AT ALL COSTS, the food was SCARY cold im not sure it was safe to eat. Only redeeming factor is the place is clean and well decorated, good ambiance, horrible experience will never return, would give it 0 stars if I could.

I liked the art on the walls and the K-pop playing. On to the menu.... The All You Can Eat (AYCE) selection at WUDON is not AYCE. Unlike all AYCE KBBQ restaurants, WUDON limits selective items that you can order more than once. At AYCE sushi or other BBQs, once you select AYCE, everything can be ordered as much as you want. To top it off, you are required to share a soup, a pancake, and steamed egg. I was disappointed to find that you had to share those items and could not order more. Not exactly "all you can eat". And, like other reviewers, the galbi, or short rib, platter is a one-time order deal. That's..... unheard of for a $28.99 AYCE weekend lunch. St. Louis does not have many Asian cuisine options, especially Korean, so I always try to be understanding if the quality or service isn't the best. My issue is that they should not call a menu selection "all you can eat" if there are contingencies on how many times you can order certain items. I would pay $15 for All you can eat here, not $30+. If you are looking for a first time experience doing AYCE KBBQ in St. Louis, by all means, try WUDON. Since LA, NY, and Chicago are too far to get AYCE KBBQ that is worth it, WUDON is the next (somewhat good) choice.
